Pavillion6360uk: Restore the files from the dvd

Last night my PC could not initialize so I did a system restore, but before that he asked me to back up my files on DVD... so I backed up my files to DVD 9. The PC is a complete system restore, but when I go to backup and restore there is no option for me to restore my files from the DVD, I burned, it only shows my router and my pc, but it will not show my dvd drive. I restore from the bad program / location?

Your help will be greatly received as all my stuff working in daye is on these dics that I hope!

Its OK he sussed by running the recovery as an administrator manager who runs the file restore program in the Recovery Manager.

  • DSA files: I can't watch avd files from a dvd disc. How can I do this?

I can't look at avd files from a dvd disc. How can I do this

DSA files are 7 BACK.  I spent nearly 45 minutes looking for any program that would read this type of file and could happen to any (see below - it may as well have been none).  I don't know the reason, you can't look at AVD files from a DVD disc is because he has not installed software capable of reading this file type.  None of the major software look at programs to support this type of file and I could not even find a 3rd party single program (freeware, demo, shareware or ware) that claims to be able to read this type of file (and I spent more than 45 minutes, looking in all the obvious places: www.download.com,www.tucows.com, Bing and Google). I could also find no program which converts the AVD files into a format readable by standard viewers.

Well, this is not quite correct.  I found the folllowing: http://media-geek.com/index.php?option=com_docman&task=doc_details&Itemid=142&gid=160 but I do not qualify to become a member (and doubt do you either) and the program is not in the home page of the manufacturer list (which means maybe he is no longer available or taken in charge) and it does not say what operating systems it is compatible with (so I don't know if this works with Vista even if we could get at the point of download it which I doubt somehow).  I'm not even sure that it is applicable for the DVD you have.

Indeed, if it was already possible with earlier versions of Windows or Windows software, I do not think it is no longer possible.

You can search by yourself and I wish you success.

    Good luck!

  • Win 7 - cannot restore some files from a successful backup

I recently bought a new laptop with Win7.

I managed to restore all my important files to a backup of my old computer which was under Vista.

When you try to restore my emails from the old vista computer, although I can see the files in the backup file real (using the tool of restoration provided by Win 7), after the execution of restoration, it is said that the restoration was successful, but the records seem to be empty and that's why I can't download my old emails to my new computer that represents a major problem for me.

I noticed that, well I can see the folder Windows Mail in the file backup using the restore backup Win 7 laaredj, the folder that corresponds to Windows Mail seems to be on a color much clearer than the other files, however, if I double click on it, I can navigate and see its contents, but nothing is restored.

Can anyone help? I would certainly appreciate any ideas, I tried to recover individual files, the entire file, one together records, tried to use different locations for the restored files but nothing seems to work. All other files in the same backup have been restored without problem.

    Thank you!

    Hello

Check if by chance the folder you are trying to restore is hidden (as you say that the folder is located in a color lighter than other folders).

    To verify the folder property

    (a) right click on the folder

    (b) select checking properties of the attributes.

Try to restore the folder on another computer and check if it is successful.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Impossible to restore a file from Time Machine

I messed up a data file and tried to restore from Time Machine. It produces the message "the operation cannot be performed because you have not granted access to the Finances of 2016 VDJS. I use an iMac 2009 beginning running OS 10.8.5. I checked permissions, and since I'm the only person using this computer all read - write permission. The version of the file I am trying to use to replace the messed up one was recorded only a few days ago and should have the same permissions. I apparently can't use disk utility to verify or repair permissions on the time Machine if the problem is with the saved file. I have another backup using DropBox, but I organized "intelligently" so that it records the changes made to the files they are saved on the computer, if the vehicle has currently the messed registered version. Others have reported this problem as a result of this message on the permissions, but not in similar circumstances, while the situation I'm in.

  • How to restore backup files from Vista 32 to Win 8 64 bit?

I just upgraded from Vista 32 bit to Win 8 64 bit.  Vista backup is all what I have.  Is there a 64 32-bit backup restore utility?
Any other ideas other than reinstall Vista somewhere and do a restore and then easily transfer?

    Thank you Andre,

Since then, I understood, after installation of Vista in a VM and had the same problem, my backup has been corrupted somehow.  Fortunately I remembered a message during the installation, all the old system files would be copied to a folder C:\windows.old.  This is the process for a clean install.  Problem solved.

  • Restore backup files after the new installation of Vista

I recently had to replace my main hard drive as it has completely crashed and burned.  Fortunately, I thought, I had been diligently backing up to an external hard drive.   So after replaced by a fresh hard drive and a new installation of Vista, I thought I could just restore these files from backup... but no luck.  New Vista does not recognize the old Vista backup.  And it will allow me to migrate these files in any usable fashion.  Is it possible for me to get the new Vista installation to access these backups from the previous installation of Vista?

    Hi Allisonerik,

    (1) what happens when you try to restore?

    (2) you get an error message?

    (3) was it a file, or a backup system image?

I want to clarify if your backup media (external hard drive) is recognizing in Windows.

Method 1: Put the computer to boot and then check to see if you can restore

Follow step 1 in the link below,
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Important: n ' forget not to put the computer to a normal startup follow step 7 in the link.

Method 2: Check your external hard drive to find errors

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/check-your-hard-disk-for-errors

Note: CHKDSK would attempt to recover bad sectors on the hard disk, in the course of this process there are chances of DATA loss from that particular area.

  • Where is the button "restore my files"?

I'm trying to restore some files from a backup that I did with Windows. I use the instructions here.  However, I believe that these instructions can be updated. First of all, I have no button that says "System and Maintenance" in the control panel. I have one that says "system and security." According to this article, I have a link that says "backup and restore". But when I click it, there is no button that says "Restore my files", as described in the instructions. (My screen looks like this. When I click on the link that says "select another backup to restore files from", the list of backups is empty, and there is no way to navigate for backups.

Does anyone know how can I restore the backup I made?
    Any help is appreciated.

I was able to find a solution on this post. Thank you for your answer!

    Hey Buddy

Just a question: what do you want now or what we should do?
I mean it would be interesting to know what operating system you have and where you have downloaded the DVD player. Can you tell us the name of the software, please?

What you can watch DVDs with other software? I prefer VLC media player. This s freeware player and can play a large number of audio and video files.
