PC Refeshed OS after hard reboot

One of my employees turned the PC Windows 8 off of the switch and turns back. Later, I noticed that it seemed to update the operating system, because all programs have disappeared except those who came with the PC and only kept the files. In fact, he handed on the programs that came with the PC that I had uninstalled after that I bought it.   I ran Belarac advise and found that the BONES had been reinstalled. I had to reinstall office, all the programs that I have put on the PC, reinstall the printer, etc... I don't know what either that the employee could do to refresh accidentally, or reset the operating system. Has anyone ever encountered this thanks in advance for your help!

If the computer does not start, it will ask if you want to try to refresh, so it would take a careless click 'Yes' to initialize it.

  • Firefix 23.0.1 freezes requiring a hard reboot the computer.

I'm running a machine oldest, but with a new installation of Windows 7. Until the last update, I have not had any problems with versions of Firefox since my last OS install. Now, when I'm in the latest Firefox 23.0.1, I sometimes get gel that blocks the whole machine and need a hard reboot. I'm always diagnose, but so far the only constant I know is Firefox. I have not experienced the same freezes using IE.

Sometimes I think that freezing that happens when I lose control of the keyboard or the mouse during a session of Firefox, but after 1-2 seconds, they both return. Usually, it just freezes. Most of the time, it so happens that I'm away from the keyboard get coffee or something. It is so transparent, the only thing that tells me that the gel is produced (other than the loss of the mouse and keyboard) is the time of the system is still a few minutes ago.

I saw the other message forum for Firefox 21 and 22 of Firefox, but I thought I have ask in a new message on Firefox 23.

I did the reset for Firefox from last night. I rebooted Ghostery as my only add-on, which was the only consecutive add-on over the previous versions of Firefox. Already this morning, I had the 1-2 second pause, but not yet freezing. (Now the convenience store has been added because of this message.)

    Hello

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems.

You will have to perhaps restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

    Then perform the following steps:

    • Click on the orange top left Firefox button, then select the 'Options' button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to tools > Options.
    • In the Firefox options window, click the Advanced tab, and then select 'General '.
    • You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.
    • Now restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

  • iPhone 6 screen goes black randomly. Hard reboot solves the problem temporarily

    Hi all

My iPhone 6 screen goes black randomly (usually during sleep) and when it happens, the fact response to touch or no sound. I know that the phone is on because I can always call another phone and it sounds on the line, but as I said the iPhone does not ring. Hard reboot (press home + power button for a while) will not solve the problem immediately after the restart, but after some time (hours or days), it goes black again and I have to do the same thing.

No idea why this is happening? Is it a software or a hardware problem?  I'm really curious to know how to restart the phone resolves the problem.

I am not able to take it to the bar of the kind of these days because of my busy schedule. I wonder what they need to replace when I take it to the store.

    Please, share your ideas.

    Thank you

Sounds like a problem of software for me, especially because it forces is a troubleshooting step software, and you say that solved the problem (of least temporarily).

However, I still think that the Genius Bar would be a good idea. They have access to diagnoses that are not accessible by the user, who can easily identify which applications or processes are causing the problem. I think that they can also do this by phone, but I rarely call support so I am not sure.

  • HP Pavilion M7 - WiFi lights not after a reboot. -Windows 8

Hi everyone, I just reinstalled Windows 8 and I am very frustrated with this little problem.

I downloaded the Realtek Wireless LAN driver from the HP website. I installed it. After installation, the WiFi works automatically. Now, after a reboot, the WiFi does not start upward. Everything is up-to-date, I checked in the Device Manager, and I even reinstalled the drivers. It does not just straight up. Everything on Windows said I need to physically turn it on.

Any help? I can't believe that I can't use the built-in WiFi. I currently use a LBS-Link USB WiFi adapter which worked well in all of his application since he came home.

    Squerl,

    Welcome to the forum.

First of all, you can try a Power Reset, which does NOT affect data on the disk.  The power / Hard Reset can help if the problem is in the pilot instructions that are stored in the computer's memory and persist to boot at startup.

    Resetting the forced feeding

Performing a Hard Reset or forced Reset

Power reset cannot tell the difference between drivers - it does not analyze a driver before applying.  It assumes that all the drivers on your computer belong there.

    EXAMPLE:

    • If the driver on the disk is the wrong driver before rebooting, it's always the wrong driver after the reset.
    • If the INSTRUCTIONS of the driver are tangled, messed up, or there are missing pieces of these instructions, the reset can solve the problem.

Why a power reset works to solve some problems:

The power reset does not install anything on your computer, it does not remove the programs on your computer and Reset does not change the settings on your computer.  Your data and programs remain as they were before the reset has been applied.  Reset runs old program of the memory instructions and forces the computer go to disk operating system for new instructions.

Why a power reset does not work:

If the problem is more than a simple tangle, if 'good job' on the computer is not good enough - in other words, you need an update, a new driver, or there is a problem that can not be "unraveled", then reset won't work.

If there is a hardware problem power reset will not work.

    ==============================================================================

Then, you can set the properties of the LAN driver to allow the driver to "wake up" the computer.   At the same time, you set the driver to NOT allow the computer to stop the driver.

    Windows key + X > M (opens Device Manager) > network adapters >

Right click of your wireless adapter > Properties > Power Management >

    Select as appropriate:

Clear the check BOX "Allow the computer to turn off this device...". »
CHECK 'Allow this device out computer' > *

    Ok

    * NOTE

Read the warning on the wireless driver performance while the notebook is on battery.

Remember that this setting CAN have side effects.

  • Connect error after hard drive encryption

I El Capitan installed on my mac mini and it has worked very well for a while. I have two hard drive installed, a flash drive, when I load the software and a second disc more where I store all my data. Today, for more security, I decided to encrypt the data reader by right clicking on the drive in the finder and select Encrypt. After doing so he says that my drive would be encrypted after the reboot, so I restarted the mac mini and now I have an error, login screen ar, just says error there is an error, log on to ar this time try again later? Can someone please help!

OK everyone, after 10 hours of repeated attempts of the total system allowed me to log on, I can only imagine that some of the data which were relevant to the connection was being encryption that I was trying to log? So if someone is in the same situation patience is necessary.

  • Have to do several hard reboots in one week

I got my Xoom for a week now, and after exploring some of the capabilities once I got home (after loading) the screen started acting funny... like one of the others described, "crazy". He put six clocks on the main screen, as if ghosts fingers where to put them there. I then did a factory reset to see if that would work and reloaded everything carefully again. It worked.

After a while, the screen started "flipping out" again once... a few pages started flipping back and nothing I do would have managed to stop. I check this forum and saw someone else with the same experience and it was suggested to do a hard reboot to clear the cache, which I did and it seems to have worked. It happened a couple fo times after that and every time I did a hard reboot so I can start using my Xoom again. I thought maybe it was some apps I was using so I stopped using them and that seemed to have worked.

Up to a week later or last night... when to download 'Angry Birds Rio. " After completing the first round of the screen started "flipping out" again. I couldn't go back, though I was to close the application. But when I opened the app, it will continue turning on. I tried to open something else and he has just shifted so I did a hard reboot again and who seem to have it fixed.

Is it normal to have to reboot so often, after using the apps? Or is it a faulty device (as someone suggested to the other person) and should I Exchange/return it since I was a week more to go back to Best Buy? Anything, please! I love my Xoom!

    Welcome Eco-cat,

What you are experiencing is not normal and the screen of your Xoom does not go out of control like that. It seems also that you had the same problem with a certain number of applications and the issue occurred with a known compatible application (Angry Birds Rio). I think you did the right diligence by searching the forum and try all the steps that were previously recommended. At this point, I'm going back the Xoom and exchange it (if the retailer that will do) or send them by the warranty to be swapped. In both cases, remember to do a factory reset again to remove your personal data and applications, as well as this removes your Google account. The new unit will allow you to reload everything once it is associated with your account.

I'm sorry you had this problem with your Xoom, it is not a common thing.

  • Downloaded Windows 10. Yet, after each reboot, windows 7 restart... no windows 10?

    Original title: Windows 10

I have a laptop with windows 7 installed. I ran a few the applet to see if the laptop is eligible. He did, and I see the windows icon 10 appearing in the task bar. I click on it to get the upgrade and windows starts the download process. Then after it is downloaded double click on the file and it seems to be the installation. This seems to go to the end and I restarted several times when asked to do so.

Yet, after each reboot, windows 7 restart... no windows 10.

    Review:

    Retry the upgrade manually:

    Option 1:

    Download the media creation tool

Click with the right button on the MediaCreationTool.exe file and then click on run as administrator.

Note: How to check if you are downloaded or installed the update Windows 10 November

How to create an ISO or USB drive.

Select upgrade this PC now and then click Next

    Option 2:

    Task of pre-required

When you make significant changes to your computer for example updated operating system, you must always back up. See the links to resources on the backup by clicking the link for each version of Windows you are using: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1

    then

    then

    • Turn off (preferably uninstall) your Antivirus utility before you perform the upgrade.
    • Reboot several times, and then try again.
    • Disable the general USB peripherals (for example - smart card reader).
    • If you are using a SCSI drive, make sure you have the drivers available for your storage on a thumdrive device and it is connected. During the installation of Windows 10, click on the advanced custom Option and use the command load driver to load the driver for the SCSI drive. If this does not work and the installer still fails, consider switching to an IDE based hard drive.
    • Perform a clean boot, restart, and then try again.
    • If you upgrade to the. ISO file, disconnect from the Internet during the installation, if you are connected in LAN (Ethernet) or wireless, disable both, then try to install.
    • If you are updated through Windows Update, when download reaches 100% disconnect from the LAN (Ethernet) Internet or Wi - Fi, then proceed with the installation.
    • If this does not work, try using the. ISO file to upgrade if possible.
    • If you are connected to a domain, go to a local account.
    • If you have an external equipment, attached to the machine, unplug them (example, game controllers, USB sticks, external hard drive, printers, peripherals not essential).

    Hello
Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

As you mentioned that your HP desktop computer is not able to start after a reboot.

I would first disconnect the backup / external drive and check if you are able to start or not.

I suggest to go to the BIOS and boot sequence and select the internal hard drive as first boot device.

NOTE: BIOS change / complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Setting changes are made at your own risk.

If the problem persists. I suggest that get you in touch with HP support in order to solve this problem.

  • Having to reinstall the Flash after each reboot.

    Windows 7 - IE9 - Flash version 11.0.1.152 - Plugins and OS update - ESET Smart Securty 4

I am prompted to install the new version of Flash after a reboot, then, it happens at least once a day.

I have install Flash and he moved very well and works until the PC starts again.

I tried some of the following:

-Use the Adobe Flash uninstaller before installing

    -Using the stand-alone Installer

-Checked filter ActiveX and it has been off... turning on the causes

This same behavior, but the problem I have has nothing to do with the filter

Not sure when this started, but the user does not have this problem until recently.

I use ESET Smart Security 4. On all of our systems, and that his PC is the only

one that has a problem. Need elements pretty hard until I took the trouble

with uninstall ESET just to see if that would help.

The part that is really strange... If I manage add on, when it is running,

I see that the Flash player it and name of Adobe here and that it is enabled.

After I reboot and go into the Add-ons Manager, Flash is still there and still

activated, but it now says "Unknown" instead of "Adobe" and is therefore no longer

other programs Adobe listed. But then, when I reinstall, which becomes

'fixed' and now, Adobe still says. So it seems almost like a problem of IE9

and maybe a problem of corruption. No known problems with the PC. I guess

reload from PC to starting from scratch would fix the problem... at least I hope he would,

but I'm not ready for the main surgery if there is an easier solution.

The TakeOwnership script took care of the problem. I'm not 100% OK with it, because it seems to just move UAC and a decrease in security. But at least it now seems to work the way it is supposed to in IE9 and I still probably charge this PC from scratch at an opportune time. Thank you!
