Fix a Startup:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

Solved myself. I went back to the basics:

  • Can someone tell me PLEASE, in the plain of the English and the words of one syllable, how to stop the annoying damned stick figures appearing on the home screen?

I changed to Firefox because I was pushed to the madness of insignificant and frankly childish animated startup and the home screens. As far as I am concerned (and I know I'm not the only one), so that they can be some developers personal 'wet dream', they are nothing other than a total loss of pixels.

Now, someone decided unilaterally that Firefox must throw it of simple but elegant homescreen Fox/Globe and join the modern idiom of animation pretty, colorful things to attract the attention of God knows who.

Can anyone provide a simple walk-through of how do to remove or hide these garbage for those of us without qualification degree level in the computer... Please?

The best way to get around that is just to create your own home page and do not use the 'default' on: homepage.
See - How to set the home page
    That you have already rejected.

You can use this UserStyle - https://userstyles.org/styles/104673/about-home-hide-snippets-and-hide-brand-logo - to hide the two sections of the about: home page House that Mozilla sends messages and videos when they feel the "need".

Many of us have disabled the changes made to the top [brandLogo part] of the Start Page of Firefox and off advertising "excerpts" [under the reservoir of research] that Mozilla uses all the time now, so we don't see this "thing".

If you feel adventurous, here's how to 'fix '.
Type of topic: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Accept the message of 'dragons' to see the Advanced preferences screen. Use the search box at the top to enter the below pref.

You can assign an empty string to stop your Firefox to retrieve "extracts" and brandLogo changes the browser.aboutHomeSnippets.updateUrl pref. Right-click this pref and select Edit then clear the value as pref in the box that appears, and then click OK. Who will also disable "snippets" that appear under the container of the research on the default home page.

Then you must open the folder of your profile, via help > Troubleshooting Information > profile folder > > folder view button. Then close Firefox.
Your profile file open with Firefox closed (Firefox '3-bar' menu key > exit/Quit), wait two minutes, then remove the storage\moz-safe-about + House folder in the profile folder of Firefox to remove the brandLogo and stored in IndexedDB code snippets to make Firefox use the default brandLogo and a defined default code snippet.

Restart Firefox for these changes to take effect.

If you later change your mind about these changes, you can reset the pref browser.aboutHomeSnippets.updateUrl via the context menu and Reset to retrieve the default to start to use the storage\moz-chest-fort-about + House record once again.

  • No "sign in" option shown on the home screen updated, what now?

Latest updates of microsoft stopped Firefox on my computer, (error 404) but I managed to find a way to update, but I now have a screen of firefox with google as my search engine, but there is no place on the home screen that allows me to connect to my google account.
How I solve this problem, please.
Basic instructions would be appreciated, because I'm not very computer savvy.

Maybe it's the built-in Firefox homepage? On this page, the address bar does not show an address, just the phrase search for or type the address. Although the page displays a related Google search box, it is not a page of Google.

If you go to the Google home page and it has the controls you want, you can make as your homepage. These articles have more information on the way in which:

If this does not work or does not stick, you may have an add-on or an external program which is the substitution of your preference. Please post back for more on this.

  • IPad2 can jump from apps, return to the home screen

IPad2 keeps jumping by apps to return to the home screen.  Have tried the suggestions and have visited Apple Store twice without success.  Still do!

    Hi Dsimonian,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!

I understand that when you are in some different applications on your iPad, you are taken back to the home screen unexpectedly.

Without knowing the previous steps, you're done, my suggestions will be to start with some basic troubleshooting. If this scenario plays in only a few different applications, I would first of all close applications completely by following the instructions in the following article.

Force an app to close iOS - Apple Support

Once these applications are closed, restart your iPad.

Restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - Apple Support

If the problem persists, please let us know more about the troubleshooting steps you have already performed. This only happens with a specific application, multiple applications, or all your apps? How many times does that happen?

    Best!

  • The home screen problem simple vs Xperia

I bought my Z2 today, literally 12 hours ago and all day its been asking me if I want to use the screen of simple home or Xperia home screen each time I click on the home button. I have attached a picture. I want to use the Xperia at home, so I selected and clicked on "Always", but he continues to ask every time. Also, I went into settings > House and then selected Xperia House, but he keeps forgetting the setting. I don't want to use the Simple option, so I can just turn off or something? It's so frustrating.

Wow guys... Until you comment please read the original complaint. It is clearly stated that the 'always' option does not work.

For those who have the same problem: it turns out that Connect to Hotmail app he was causing. The phone has thought that the app was a pitcher for the home screen. So, every time I have opened the app he has changed the default setting for the Launcher. I uninstalled and have never had the question once again. Go to settings > home and see what's there. If there is something other than the Simple House and House of Xperia, uninstall this application. It should work

The problem came from last night after that my computer had a blue screen and proceeded to do some sort of system dump or something like that. Subsequently, I have been unable to connect to one of the five accounts on the computer because it stuck to the home screen after clicking on the account. The little blue circle would continue forever. The computer works fine in safe mode, but I tried a clean boot with MSCONFIG and it still doesn't work. Any ideas? • Vista sticks to the Welcome screen

Hi, I read some of the posts that people put here and I can not find an answer for my problem, my friend has a computer laptop sony vaio and when she takes care of vista, it sticks to the Welcome screen, I got him to try to connect by using safe mood, but it just goes to a black screen and hangs , I don't particularly want to do a system restore because it has all its courses on the hard drive and that she wants to keep, is there someone who can help at all that it becomes a little depressing, especially since I have to talk to him about what to do on the phone? All responses will be welcome :-)

Different is the system restore and system to factory settings recovery there.

System Restore does not usually affect the data, such that it updates only one hour earlier...

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

  • BlackBerry smartphone App icons disappear from the home screen

    Hello

I had to wipe my Priv, I typed the wrong password (when changed, I probably did not notice a mistake I made).

Thanks to the backup, I extract all my applications.

The problem is that I don't have the icons of the apps on my home screen once again, and I can't figure out how to do again.

    Any idea?

    Thank you

Yes, if you never download a launcher, which should be BlackBerry Launcher. I hope that BlackBerry will hear you I mean maybe they will understand the home backup screen. :-)

  • Integration of the home screen: Double messages

I use http://www.blackberry.com/developers/docs/7.1.0api/net/rim/blackberry/api/messagelist/ApplicationMes... to save my messages on the home screen (the screen menu drop-down).

It works fine, but my items are displayed twice, once in the 'messages' category and once in the category of my own application.

I use the type 0 and 1 for reading, 2 for unread messages (ApplicationMessage.Status.OPENED resp. ApplicationMessage.Status.UNOPENED), is there something wrong with that?

It is the expected behavior.  The message list displays most recent messages that have arrived.  Reviews are also grouped into categories of applications, showing the latest posts for each category.
