Hello

Could be linked to the heat, make sure that the computer has adequate ventilation, maybe use a small fan to
Add air flow. On a PC, the cards, the memory and the cable (both ends) will need to be reinstalled.
Remove all power and remove and replace those, don't do not just tight. Can't do that on a good laptop.
Also check the power supply Plan of Advanced Options to make sure there aren't some parameters here that cause
power off.

Look in the Event Viewer to see if something is reported on those.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

How to install a device driver in Vista Device Manager
http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-Device-Manager-install-driver.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.

The problem, it happened a few days that I have installed an adobe application, then I restarted the computer after that then the loptop guard turn off without any warning, but he ends up by lights after 3 or 4 seconds. But I was able to restore to a previous point where he worked. The problem occurs whenever I'm working (browsing, games, videos etc. on Plug and battery.) My battery is also broken, it drains really quick. And I have overheating issues too, but I think this isn't the problem because ive check the nucleus of just temperature uaing before it exploded and is no longer heating.

In the case of the probem on battery only, of course exclude the AC charger. In such circumstances where heat is not known to be the issue, I would find programs to test the RAM and hard drive sectors. This as a starting point. You want to be able to exclude... then you rule finally in.

    Hello Lala33:

Welcome to HP forum. Why even bother messing around with it. Just go back to the store and Exchange. Leave the store address Dirrect HP support. Most of the stores have a 30 day return policy. You aren't the only one with this kind of problem with the defective battery on a new computer. If you deal with Direect Support HP to fix it your self you'll be with a computer for at least six weeks. Your computer comes with a one year warranty, so HP Dirrect support are those to contact about a battery replacement or fix the problem with the hardware inside the computer. Why do business with mares of night to support Direct from HP when you don't need to. Just return it even if you are also just rent Exchange it.

In addition this does ' t HP not even cover the steps of troubleshooting your system for your laptop battery. I just checked in case you wanted really badly to turn your self. How lame is that.

    Start page for your computer:

    http://h20566.www2.HP.com/portal/site/hpsc/public/PSI/performMaintResults/?sp4ts.Oid=6943842

I don't see anything that covers the battery for troubleshooting.  Just so return it and exchange it. Less you have a new computer, when you do the same day against waiting for six weeks with a minium.  Not to mention that I am fully aware of how the poor live from HP support is. It cost me $1,1000.00 to fix their screwed up they are gone when my Computer has been returned by them for the sixth straight time. That's how badly they have screwed up my computer.

You're welcome frrw. Look at this way less it didn't ignite as my HP DV7t-7000cto is a replacement computer because they couldn't fix my HP DV7 3565dx computer. If it is out of the box pluged in and turned on. That's all she wrote. Pouf!

  • Tecra S2 crashes without any warning, failure or whatever switches of

I have a Tecra S2 that now and then just turns it self of.

It works connected to power and everything seems normal. Then less than a second, it goes to!

No no warning, no error, running with connected AC, battery 100% complete!

There is nothing to see in the log events or other newspapers. Does not happen but regular stop often and should not happen.

Someone has an idea of what this may be? I'm running the latest drivers and BIOS.

I have a feeling it might be something with the saverdriver of power. Why well there is also something strange when the battery has been Let's say almost empty at 1 or 2%. You wound up down normally but if you turn it on again with AC power connected it will stop again as she thinks that the batteries are low. It starts in XP but almost direct switches again.

Somehow power monitoring drivers don't see the food is attached.

    Hello

As Miro said, it could be an overheating problem.
In this case try to clean the ventilation openings.
Subject of the battery: If the AC adapter is plugged in the battery should be removed.
The use of battery and power adapter simultaneously may damage battery life.
Please consult the manual of the user that is pre-installed on the device. You will find information how to manage the battery.

I use the machine for work and play and sometimes watching DVDs

    Jake Houghton

    Hello

Well, if there are cooling vents are free and not dirty, so I guess that the cooling fans are working properly. In this case, what you can do is to check the settings for standby power.
Try changing the method of control of the CPU to Auto. Also, check if the cooling method is set for maximum performance.
