    Hey Buddy,

already enabled smart card service in the "services"? You must enable this service if it is not already done.

You can reach services' by clicking on START-> Control Panel-> administration-> Services-> smart card tools

Then go into this service, start him and to do as that kind of "autostart".
I hope my tip helps you with your problem. :)

  • SP A10: XP SP2 and Maxtor IEEE 1394: need MS patch?

I have a Satellite Pro A10, hooked up to an external Maxtor 80 GB of disc over a Firewire/IEEE 1394 link.

IEEE 1394 is attached to a card PCMCIA (from Belkin) that uses the NEC 1394 chipset.

A hotfix is available from Microsoft (see http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;885464) but the MS Support saying this can only come with the support of Toshiba.

Can you help me get the fix?

Without it, I can rarely access the drive.

It works fine on my Tecra M2 that accesses the same disk through its integrated 1394 interface. The problem only occurs with the NEC 1394 chipsets.

    Hello

Well, have you contacted Belkin support?
In my opinion, you should ask manufacturers of PCMCIA cards for the upgrade or this hotfix. In addition, you can check the drivers Toshiba download page for this fix. Microsoft patches are known as QFE. Maybe you will find one that suits. But unfortunately, if you are not able to find it, you will have to wait for the next service pack for Windows XP which will include this fix. :(

  • Ieee 1394 host controller Texas Equium A60-692 does not start

    Hello!

I have a Toshiba Equium A60-692 about 2 years old. On rare occasions the above will install and also the network/ethernet card etc with it when it starts. But 99% of the time it fails to start upward.

Tech from Toshiba tell me it's the CMOS battery, but time slept OK for the last week so maybe it could be something else. Other strange things are can only recognize the drive HARD to start from what IDE Standard is chosen in the BIOS options (Enhanced IDE option and I think only used normal overall, ups causes boot errors). Also a green screen with weird graphics on occasion. Also the speed of the processor can be reduced, as shown in the properties of my computer.

Any ideas from anyone as worried of wasting time to unsolder the battery if this isn't the problem. Could this be a fault of the motherboard that is irreparable? I am a relative novice if need help someone here. This made me!

    Hello

I think you might be right. Eventually he s a small part on the motherboard that could malfunction.
If I m not mistaken the controller IEEE 1394 Texas Instruments could be the Firewire port and it s part of the mobo

  • Problem of lack of resources for IEEE 1394

We currently have a CVS-1454 with two cameras inspections.  Due to circumstances with the inspection and machine, we try to move the inspections to the computer that communicates with the RESUME.  We get the error "the IEEE 1394 camera could not be initialized because of the lack of resources on the IEEE-1394 bus".  This error occurs only in Vision Builder.  This is not the case in MAX.

The specific features of the system are: the PC is under XP SP3 with a card PCI-8252.  There are two cameras from Basler scA1390-17fm of the inspection.  The cameras are using the 7 Format, Mode 0, 1392 x 1040.  The PCI card is new out of the box, the cameras are a couple of years.  VBAI version 3.5, LabView 8.6, MAX is version 4.6.2.

I found the articles on NI.com addressing this issue, but the recommendations have had no effect.

    1. Package size & framerate: in MAX speed can be set on a 100Mbs.  Reduce the size of the package has no effect.  It has been set to the default value to 1024, but we lowered it to 200 without effect.
    2. We installed the driver of Bus AVT Package, but when we went to the driver of the TRA, the bus went to the MAX and then Windows through the new hardware wizard found and we couldn't get the cameras is displayed correctly in the Windows Device Manager, nor did they ever appear in MAX.  All of the documentation I've seen looks that we should not need to install additional drivers for the Basler cameras.
    3. The machine does not have hotfix 885222 installed, but I contemplated trying to run this update anyway: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/955408
    4. Alternate video modes: we have tried to put the cameras to any other video mode.  We can put a camera in an incredibly small resolution, but then the camera still does not work regardless of the video mode.

I hope that I put all the details there.  Any thoughts?  Should we need to install anything else after the passage in the AVT bus driver?  I was full of hope that would solve the problem.

    Thank you

    Paul

I agree with Brad, your question is probably the famous issue of Microsoft that XP SP2 and SP3 downgraded a potential to S100 speed, requiring to be restore the driver 1394 SP1 of Microsoft, or switch to Win7 where they finally solved the problem.

Or by using a substitute 1394 Microsoft compatible spare driver, such as the one offered by AVT.

But I differ respectfully with Brad that re. If the driver AVT 'worked right' or not... as it was only designed to work with AVT cameras - and will not work with Basler cameras.  This is a deliberate design feature.  Or constraint,'s point of view.  ;-)

  • Performance IEEE 1394 Windows XP SP3 Adobe Premiere 6.0 problem

I'm trying to capture video using Adobe Premiere 6.0.  When I got Win2K installed it worked fine.  I have upgraded to Windows XP SP3 and first stopped working properly.  A clean installed Matrox RT2500 - it's the video capture card, I bought with the kit Adobe Premiere - according to the instructions, as well as first - including the 6.01 update.  Now when I connect my Sony DCRTRV520 camcorder via firewire IEEE1394 and try to capture the Hi8 video I recorded, it won't record a few frames, then stops.  Matrox video tools say that the IEEE 1394 device has stopped working.  First capture options indicate that the camcorder is not recognized.

I found a forum which indicated that the problem was with XP sp3 drivers for Texas Instruments OHCI 1394 device - indicating that the sp2 and sp3 downgraded the 1394 to S100 speed device performance.  I found an article in the database saying MS was aware of the problem and finally got that to work (KB885222) download

    http://download.Microsoft.com/download/9/0/6/906f2f67-39c4-48bc-8558-86833d4cbc16/WindowsXP-KB885222-v2-x86-enu.exe

It will not actually install on the PC I am running SP3 not SP2.  It's really frustrating because the system worked very well under windows 2000. Even worse since I have a lot of old video - not stored on DVD or transformed into films which I was hoping to work for presents for the family, this Christmas.

Anyone know of another - hotfix - download or similar which will fix this problem?

  • How can I get the Bus IEEE 1394 Host controller driver to show up in Device Manager?

I try to activate my new Firewire Interface M-Audio Solo and I encountered a small problem.
I recently bought a PCI card on eBay and I hope that it is not defective because even if the blue light on my Solo M-Audio lights when I insert it into the firewire port, I don't see this pop up on my computer screen. In addition to this, I discovered that the Bus IEEE 1394 Host controller is not installed on my computer (Windows XP)...
    Can anyone help please?

Of my experience with the installation of port expansion cards (USB, Firewire, etc.), they always require facilities suitable driver to work properly.  The card comes with an installation disc, or have some sort of instructions for you inform to download the latest drivers for the device from the manufacturer's website?

  • I need an ieee 1394 firewire connection on my hp p6803w. What should I do?

I just bought a desktop PC HP p6803w with AMD Athlon II 220 Dual-Core processor, 750 GB hard drive and Windows 7 Home Premium and it has no port firewire IEEE 1394.  I need one of these to download from my JVC MiniDV Camcorder(with tapes.)

I know that I need some kind of PCI card or something like that.  I don't know much about computers and I was wondering if someone can help out me on this?  If I can't understand this point, I have to restart my computer.  I bought it for the only purpost of tearing my video on my camera.  All the details (especially), any of you can provide will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance,

    Ralph

    Hi, Ralph:

On your PC motherboard has PCIe x 1 available connectors only.

I have provided a link to what you need.

You can get it here or a different model and your favorite PC Magazine, but it must be PCIe x 1 and No PCI.

  • HP FireWire IEEE 1394

I have a HP pavilion 6803w with windows 7. Can I use this card, HP FireWire IEEE 1394, for capturing from my Canon camera?

Your HP a6803w expansion slot: 1 PCI Express x 16 slot for a graphics card, 2 PCI Express x 1 slots and 1 PCI slot... 1 slot PCIe x 1 used for the 56 K modem.

That leaves 1 PCI slot or 1 slot PCIe x 1 for your Firewire card. According to the exact p/n of the HP Firewire card, it must fit into one or the other location.

If your camcorder Canon provided with a Firewire cable and has a port Firewire/plug top then you'd be good to go.

  • I have a Pavilion p7 - 1067c and need to install an IEEE 1394 controller, but there is no PCI slot.

I need an IEEE 1394 port for capture video from my camcorder.  It doesn't seem to be the standard white connector on the motherboard to install a card.  There are a couple of black connectors line up with the empty card slot but not the white connector found on other computers.  I am familiar with the Texas Instruments OHCI IEEE 1394 Host Controller PCI compiant.  Is there something different for this HP?  I would be grateful for any help you can give me on this.

    Hello

Short black expansion slots are PCI Express x 1 ports so that you will need a firewire card with this type of connection - an example of this can be seen here.

    Kind regards

  • Must use IEEE 1394?

I am looking to buy a Panasonic HDC-SD90K hi def camcorder.  It doesn't have an IEEE 1394 connector; It has a USB 2 connector.  By reading the material online for first Elements 10, I stumbled on the following:

«HDV camcorder: connect your HDV camcorder to port IEEE 1394 your computer using an IEEE 1394 cable.» You cannot capture HDV using USB ports. »

Does this mean that I can't buy this camcorder, or I can't use the first 10 items?

(My iMac has IEEE1394 "Firewire" ports and USB 2 ports).

If it is a device of the BAND, you must use IEEE1394

If this camera records on a device memory (SD/SDHC card) or HDD or DVD you use USB to transfer the video from the camera to the computer
