PDF to DOC extension

I use Verity and ColdFusion 8. I display the hyperlink to a pdf document, but when it shows up, he shows himself as a doc file. It still opens the pdf, but I want to show the right extension. Here is my code:

<!-HREF to file is produced using a FILE protocol
or HTTP, depending on whether it is a web document.
so let's look at the ext file to determine if it has
a web doc or not->
< cfset FileName = GetFileFromPath (Key) >
< cfset Ext = ListLast (FileName, ".") >
<!-display title if there is one, otherwise the name->
< cfif IS Trim (Title) "" > "".
< cfset display = GetFileFromPath (Key) >
< cfelse >
< cfset display = title >
< / cfif >
<!-display now->
Key = #Key # < br >
display = #display # < br >
< a href = "#url #" > #display # < /a > (#score #)

And here's what it returns. On about 300 listed PDF documents, it only shows the 3 in pdf format, all the others are displayed as a doc file.

Key = C:\ColdFusion8\wwwroot\Decisions07\Corporation\0718719 & 0719549.pdf
display = Microsoft Word - 18719 & 19549.doc
Microsoft Word - 18719 & 19549.doc (1.0000)

I think that I thought about it. display has been implemented with title. But I don't know how the title got started this title from Microsoft. Weird. In any case, I'm happy for now. Thank you.

    Conversion from PDF to DOC in a special way...

    I have a pdf form. I need to convert it to doc because I use Goldmine CRM to merge or insert fields in the doc.

    The easiest way for me is if I can simply consider each page of the PDF as an image and convert the pdf file into a word document composed by images. Each page of the word document is an image.

    Then I can use an overlay with transparent textbox to insert the fields at my convenience.

    You know a method to do this with the results and a good resolution?

    Best regards

    Export pages as images is possible via the file > save as menu in Acrobat, but I don't see why you want to do. Acrobat can save a PDF file as a Word document ordinary.

  • pass a PDF to doc pages

    I have a PDF I want to convert a doc Pages. Is it possible to do it outside of a cut and paste? TIA

    The least amount of work (except if you're talking about very large PDF) is simply copying and pasting the PDF pages. Most of the time formatting is preserved and there is little time lost in form/reconstruction of the contents of post-treatment rehabilitation. If you need to extract Images from a PDF, open in LibreOffice Draw and select individual images. You can't convert a PDF to Word in LibreOffice.

    PDF documents are formats end and no internal representation of a word processing document. For example, select all content, by copying and pasting into a document Pages will focus on the text with attributes, but leave behind no selectable objects (e.g. images). If the fonts embedded in the PDF file are not installed on OS X, then you may text replacement, or gibberish, which can lead to more questions.

    Office 2016 for Windows, according to Microsoft, you can open a PDF in Word 2016 and convert a .docx Word document. From there, you can do more to OS X and open with Pages ' 09, or the most recent Pages v5. Office 2016 for Mac doesn't have this capability.

    Adobe Acrobat Reader has a button to convert PDF to Word, but is a tariffed service. There are several free applications on the web, and some of them are in the OS X App Store that are supposed to convert the formats PDF to Word (and, possibly, Pages ' 09). Product of Wondershare made a mess of the conversion of PDF to Word documents and Pages ' 09, so there is a high probability that you are facing a lot of time lost in the restoration of document.

    OS x Automator has an action to capture text with attributes of a PDF file (RTF) or gross and he writes as .txt or .rtf. Pages ' 09 can read document .rtf format, but the v5.6.1 Pages does not support. So you should have open this file in TextEdit or LibreOffice and two, export to Word .docx to get in v5.6.1 Pages. Just a PITA.

    From what you have read above, what approach do you take?

  • Problem with the opening of intention with the type ' application/pdf' and no extension of file in Acrobat 16.0 for Android

    I'm having a problem with an Android app that opens pdf files through an intention with ' application/pdf ' as type a uri that does not include an extension (something like "file:///storage/emulated/0/Android/data/package.name/cache/Documents/Document20136000217 25840499999") the file picker opens properly, but if I choose Adobe Acrobat, Acrobat is activated but immediately closes with the message "No applications available on the device to open files of this type".

    If I select the Reader PDF Viewer to open intend the file opens correctly. I also tried adding '.pdf' name of the file and in this case the intention also works with Adobe Acrobat.

    Acrobat seems to ignore the mime type. Documentation to http://developer.android.com/intl/es/reference/android/content/Intent.html#getData () which seems to be a mistake - the mime type must take precedence over the content of the data.

    The application runs on a Nexus with Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 5.

  • PDF to DOC. How to convert formulas into pictures.

    Hello. I have a PDF file containing the text and formulas. I ran through the text recognition and exported. DOC. Fine appeard text recognition, but the formulas becomes absurd. You can see on the screens below the following Word and Acrobat.

    So, my question is how to explain Acrobat to let the formulas in the form of images?

    And also - is there any type of parameters exist to improve text recognition?

    TNX you very much.

    Hello

    You can correct text recognition errors by going to tools > strengthen analyses > text recognition > correct the recognized text (if you use Acrobat DC). You can also edit directly the document of the tool edit PDF.

    Acrobat recognizes the text throughout the document and so it will handle the formulas as well. Currently, the forms cannot be left in the form of images.

  • How to do the field work of signature for Player users? Security settings change when the doc extension?

    I struggled to fix a problem all week and I'm at my wits end. The customer service was no help because the person that I spoke with could barely speak English and even less understanding of the problem that I explained it. Hoping someone here can get an idea, here's the question:

    I use a professional Windows 7 operating system. I created a Microsoft Word's doc and used Adobe Acrobat XI Standard to create a form from it. It automatically detected fields, which includes a signature field. I had fixed all how it was and "Save as other - reader extended pdf - activate filling out forms in & save in reader.

    The document is a report that will be sent to a small number of people who have to fill in, sign and return digitally and I'm assuming that most, if not all of them will open the document using the free Adobe Reader software. So I thought I'd extend it's what I had to do to make sure that they could fill, save to their computer if need be and also digitally sign. Signature field is automatically added in by acrobat for me and I do not change the properties of it at all except to add a border.

    When I open the form in Reader (also XI) I can fill in all the fields, save it... but not signed. Security settings say signature is not allowed, even if I went back to the original form of pdf and the security settings to this topic say allowed for everything. I don't know how to resolve this... Please help!

    I've attached a few screenshots, but can include more if necessary...acrobat-not extended-security settings.pngacrobat-save as options.pngreader-extended.pngreader-security settings.png

    You must apply the rights of the reader to the file by file - save as other - Reader - Extended PDF - activate tools more. I'm not sure that it's available in Acrobat Standard, however.

    No of course not. For two reasons, you can easily reason for yourself

    -If it is possible with basic Java, why we would ever want to write third-party libraries as well?
    -Why core Java should deal with proprietary formats?

    There are hundreds of files formats in existence, core Java to be able to deal with them? No, of course not. It's silly to even expect such a thing.

  • PDF to DOC conversion

    I have a little trouble with that. I tried a couple different pdf to word converters, and they have just created a document word with images of the pages in the pdf file. I was told that it is possible to convert an editable DOC file. These are the converters I tried to use.

    [URL removed by host]

    Anyone know if it is possible to convert a pdf to a file real editable doc?

    Thank you

    Adobe Acrobat can convert PDF to word PDF files to doc format that is made of texts, not the images. If the pdf file is a scan (and it takes a good scan), the pdf must be OCRB, first.

  • You can convert multiple PDF to DOC (MS Word) files at the same time?

    Hello

    I use Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard. While I can simultaneously convert several files in PDF format by selecting all the files you want, right click then "Convert to Adobe PDF", there seems to be no way to do the opposite of this, which would be to convert PDF several files in a different format, in my case the format in DOC or MS Word file (2003).

    I scanned the help files, the knowledge base and here (the forums), but I can't seem to find an answer.

    Could someone tell me: is it possible to simultaneously convert multiple PDF files to another type of file using Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard or other software? If it is possible using Acrobat 8 Standard, could someone tell me how I would do?

    Thank you

    If the standard batch processing, the answer would be Yes, but I think it's only one Pro feature.
