    Hello

We have 1 machine that shows the above error, and strangely enough, it is only to show this error when you try to play the DVD. CD is reading and fine engraving. The H/W is a carpet * a DVD - RAM UJ-8425. The drive is correctly activated and we have about 100 other machines with exactly the same formatting and set up using XP that do not display this error. I changed the H/W and uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers of devices, but without result.

Anyone has any ideas that can help?

    See you soon

    Steve

When you get this error message exactly? You get this error message if you're looking for a DVD or watch a movie on DVD?

In your case, I would try to remove the upper and lower filters. Then follow this work around:

    (1) run Regedit (start > run > Regedit)
    2) go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
    (3) in the right pane, delete the "UpperFilters" key and delete the key "LowerFilters".
    (4) restart.

    Good luck!

  • "Popup error ' A:\ is not Accessible, incorrect function" when you try to read the "A" drive in Explorer.

When you try to read a disk in the 'A' drive from Windows Explorer, I get a Popup with a white 'X' in a red circle and a message that "A:\ is not Accessible" "Incorrect function" and an OK button at the bottom.  It happens to any disk, formatted or not, with the files or empty.  I replaced the disk drive - no help.

I don't know if it's a windows setting went crazy or a motherboard problem.  My BIOS seems correct.  If I do a 'fill' of window hardware in administrative tools he tells me that I have data on the disk.

    I have XP - SP3.

    Any ideas-

go to a command prompt and type "sfc/scannow" (without the quotes) and let it run... see if this is helpful at all.

Hope do you feel better soon.

  • : No is not accessible incorrect function

I am running Windows xp and the dc LG dvd player was fine until a couple of days. I uninstalled Nero and used nero cleaning tool. I uninstalled the drive. I can read him, but cannot write to it. I have a problem with the drive not being recognized, but that has been resolved with Article ID: 316529. It does not seem possible for 3 drives suddenly malfunction at the same time - is this something to do with a windows update?

Yes, a burner may stop working as a burner but still be able to play CDs or DVDs.  Looks like it's maybe your problem here.  Replace the drive should only cost $25 - $35 or more.  This is probably your best bet.

  • HP X 705 PEN DRIVE NOT DETECTED IN ANY PC

I plugged my USB on my laptop, and he asked me to dial before use. I formatted and the format has been successful. After that I was transferring some of my files and suddenly the USB connection has been lost due to unknown reasons. I reinserted it and then found out that it is not detected. I tried by assigning a drive letter in disk management, but I couldn't see my pen drive listed. I also tried to connect to other computers and devices, but none of them detected. I hope that there is not any problem with USB 2.0 as connection he used to work earlier. It could be a hardware problem and I can not return or ask the supplier I bought at snapdeal.

    Hello Hackerschoice,

You say it happened when writing files to it. The player bumped or moved while this was happening?

If the drive is not detected in ANY computer or device, then the reader has become physically corrupted or damaged in some way.

If snapdeal will not honor a warranty for a recent purchase, your only recourse is to contact HP support directly for your country and ask questions on the help of the guarantee.

  • NAS hard drive not accessible more: the device is not configured to accept connections on port 'files and printers sharing (SMB).

    Dear,

I am desperately looking for a solution for my specific problem how access my NAS.

I have a hard drive from Western Digital NAS (Book Live) which worked fine until now. Yet, I just changed my internet provider and I now have a new Fritzbox 6360. Now, I can not access the hard disk of the commune of programs in Windows. I contacted two suppliers already, but without success. I think I have some incorrect settings in my Windows 7, 64 bit. This is the situation:

-NAS is still working with my old Fritzbox, for testing that I went back-> ok

-I can access the NAS via the dashboard or a TwonkyServer-> ok

-When I access it via Windows Explorer, I wonder is to give my credentials (which don't work) or I get the error message: the device is not configured to accept connections on port 'files and printers sharing (SMB).

-J' changed my IP address (dynamic even static) and connections, password-> without success.

-J' tried SFC with the result that found no violation of integrity. -> ok.

    Any idea?

Can you please turn off the NAS, unplug the cable and Ethernet cable? Wait about 2 minutes then plug all the cables back in. Any security program or firewall to this computer? Try disabling it for now.

You have another PC or laptop which has Windows 7/8 and try to access the NAS?

You have a smartphone or a Tablet and download an application for the WD NAS and then try to access files.

  • Windows 7 sharing drive not accessible in Vista

We just bought a new Dell with Windows 7 Pro 660 office.

On the same local network, we have a Dell under Vista Home Premium laptop.

On the unity of Win7, we shared a call from external drive DriveG.

We have two computers in the same workgroup. Both are connected to the same router/modem.

Note that the drive on the Vista laptop is accessible by the Office of Win7. The reverse does not work.

I checked that the Win7 use HOMEGROUP (which isn't good that between Win7 computers.
