What I've read, the pen tool will help me a lot but I'm having a difficult learning time to use it.  Can't anyone recommend a BASIC ' Pen tool for Dummies "teaching to help me get started?

Try to watch this tutorial. It should open the eyes a bit. Don't forget to watch in full-screen mode and 1080 p.

I am a member of the Adobe forums and help has always been good.

I have items 6 and 10, and there is a tool of the stylus pressure.

Once the editor is open and the Brush tool is selected, click on the small arrow beside the brushmark.

In the menu you will find the pen pressure.

You can also click with the right button on the Brush tool and click on the pencil tool.

You may know this, but if you do not I hope it helps.

  • Pen tool: how to trace node

For example, if I wan to draw

    -------->

I would click to create a starting node. Move to the right, then create another node to form a line.

Then I'd go diagonal to the left, but then I can't go back sharp part of the arrow to draw a diagonal line to the bottom left.

Is there a way? I want to create an animation of an arrow is designed to help connect the tracks.

Using the pen tool is slightly different than in Illustrator or Photoshop. My technique is to select the tool pen (g) then use Alt/Option and Ctrl/Cmnd to change the pointer. If you have trouble positioning of a Summit so you can place it anywhere with the default pen then select the point using the Ctrl/Cmnd key as a modifier and move it to a new location, then continue drawing.

The only problem with alignment or placing a vertex directly on top of the other, is that it is very difficult to make diaper changes.

My technique would be to shoot an arrow on paper first and decide how I naturally attracts it. Then, I'd probably use two shots, one for the line and a dash v under the arrow head shaped. I start to draw the arrow from the point, then back up and add the V.

The other option would be to draw the line to change direction and move the pen to the back, then down, then to the point of creating a kind of arrow head closed. If you use two paths you can put them in the same shape layer and then add the trim paths to complete the animation with just two keyframes and the paths will be deleted in the order.

The other option would be to draw the arrow in a full form not with a stroke, if you have a nice looking arrow. Then I would add suddenly to the model which was broad enough to cover the entire arrow, then apply trim paths to this feature and use it as a track matte to reveal the arrow. Everything depends on the design.

Adobe Premiere Pro CC - 2015.4 version 10.4.0 (30) build

    Operating system - OS X 10.11.6

    Sequence/images - images of reflex digital H.264 in a 1920 x 1080, 16:9, 29.97 FPS

I'm adding a chart and try to hide a file HAVE with the pen tool. As soon as I click on the tool pen under the control of opacity effect, a small portion of the image is cropped on the right side. Even when I finished the mask, he trims still on the right side.

Here is what the chart looks like no mask at all. http://i.imgur.com/CtKbvOD.PNG

Once I click on the tool to start feather mask, it cultures immediately a small part on the right side. http://i.imgur.com/W5ICaJR.PNG

  • Pen tool in Ultra key

When a green screen overlay with "Ultra key", I use the pen tool to select the person who I want to composite.  After the outline of the person, I would expect the peripheral green screen to turn black as if I was using a cache of transparency.  But nothing happens.  The person exists inside the outline of pen tool but the entire screen stays green.  However, when I use the pen tool in the "Opacity" effect, the space outside the Pen becomes black.  This is the effect I want to see when you use the pen in the Ultra masking effect.  Using the tool feather Ultra mask key in the effect on the area outside the area parked (as with the opacity effect)?

    Windows 7 Professional

    Premiere Pro 2015.3 Release

Do not use the pentool/mask feature in Ultra key

Effects with alpha masks do not go well together.

Mask with opacity and use Ultra to get key remains attached to him.

I also noticed that the selection is automatically deployed opposite.

I use PC Windows 10.  Someone at - it suggestions please.  Unnecessarily Adobe do not seem to provide support outside office hours.

Check your layers palette. The targeted layer's pixels in this area who have 50% or more opacity?

  • Pen tool does not work in Premiere Pro CS6

I've never had this problem before. When I import a video I need to expose a person with the pen tool, I can't do anything. It also did not work in After Effects, but I installed Quicktime Alternative and the pen tool has started working again in Ae but not PR. was an error message that has not been installed Quick time and some components would not work. But the time of Quick ALT set who. Am I missing something?

The pen tool in Pr CS6 is for the keyframes in the timeline.

Mask feature was not added until I think that CC 2014.

  • Pen tool, some paths, basic shapes, etc.

Hi, first sorry for my bad English.

I bought the ipad pro and pencil to apple, when it came out last year, trying to replace my macbook and imac in illustration and design work. I hope that Adobe, as one of the major design software developer, would a pro for us software "artists" in a few months. Not need to be too pro version full of mac os, but at least something that works for all kinds of artists:

1 - drawings of hands free

    or

    2 precise geometric designs

The first option in this version of works "Illustrator draws" regular, not great and not bad. We can make several good designs, the quality is good. But whenever I need a more specific move, small details. Frustration begins: no path, no selector to move a part of the drawing (just move the entire layer), etc.

In the second option "illustrator draw" is simply not do work with this kind of artists (my case). I hate to be repetitive, but all I can say is that I tried to work with adobe apps with my ipad pro and apple pencil. And it is impossible (for my kind and style of work).

I downloaded graphic Autodesk and Protosketch. Two of them, it is much MUCH better that Illustrator draws, I can get the end result in both entities. There's the pen, Bezier work tool just fine, select traced, paint, paint, move, align, insert the position and scale, remove and what I want is possible with these applications.

So my question is, why adobe do not develop an app that make already what these apps do for years?

Where is the pen tool (Bézier, etc.)? where selection points? where is the base of any vector software?

    Hi Lucas,.

I'm sorry to have taken so long to answer. Thanks for posting.

When the draw was created, it has been designed as, well, adjuvant to Illustrator CC. something that would allow people to start a project away from the desktop computer, and then complete it on the desktop.

People have started using it to learn more. That has intensified since the introduction of the iPad from Apple Pro and a pencil and we receive many requests and suggestions to make the application more "useful". And we take them seriously with regard to the evolution of the draw. That said, despite the fact that they are requested with a certain regularity, I am not sure that the plan is to incorporate an Illustrator - Bézier or the selection tools in the app. I would like to have more information for you...

I pass all comments along to the team produced and I'll share yours, in its entirety, with them also.

Thanks again for taking the time to post.

    Sue.

  • Pen Tool not work - Adobe first CC

My pen tool does not work properly. In the timeline panel, he's not a keyframe on the video line. In the audio, it will be. The pen works more as a selection tool in the video portion of the timeline. Everything is developed and illustrated. I uninstalled and reinstalled the program. Any ideas?

There is a bug with the keyframe on the timeline show feature

Have to wait for an update.

  • Features of the line of my mouse and the pen tool are thicker than my tablet.

Hello, I have just built a new computer and tried drawing in Photoshop but it turns out that my features of line of my mouse and the pen tool appear to be twice as thick as my Tablet features. I am currently using the Wacom Intuos small Pen & Touch tablet. I messed with the settings and put sensitivity to pressure for setting low to make sure that I get a fixed size for each shot, so it's probably a sensitivity problems. I don't have this problem with my last computer when I used the same Tablet and the program Photoshop I use now. Does anyone have suggestions about how can I fix? Thank you for your time.

Occam's razor would tell us that it is almost certainly a problem with spring pressure.

Or the other of the two first round brushes by selecting in the brush Panel must ensure pencil and mouse identical brush sizes.

The other thing to look at is the options bar.  The other icon highlighted in red, is the pressure change opacity.

You can use both at the same time.

  • Refine the edge using the pen tool?

I can select with the pen tool and then use the side I refine my selection?

Yes you can but not directly. Right-click on the canvas after you create your drawn path and in the menu, select "make a selection. You can refine that as usual.

Please can someone tell me what I am doing wrong.

Then the filling is already built into the brush.

If you did the brush off-trail with thick lines, check the latter if there is a fill applied and delete it. Then make a new brush or replace the existing one.

How can I get this feature on Illustrator CC?

    1. as previously, your form must be selected or you will call a new form.

    2. in the preferences > General > confirm that "disable add/remove Auto" is * not * checked.

Or the other of them solve the problem?

  • Photoshop CS6 Pen Tool Lag (only Pen)

Hay guys, pen my tool of Photoshop CS6 has suddenly started to train and be slow when Im active on this tool. It is delayed and will slow down when I click on layers and do some other stuff, but ONLY when im on this tool. I have to wait 2-3 seconds for what it is to happen after I click on a point on the pen tool. Sometimes it's ok when its on the 'path' one but when its sequel "Shape" his late and goes really slow. This has only started to happen and he was quite fine the last time I used the pen tool. IM using Photoshop CS6 on Windows 7 and my computer is more than capable of handling the pen tool, as it has done completely well before. I tried enabling the GPU and change the setting from advanced to Basic. Also, I tried reseting my computer / open a new document and reopen Photoshop whgilst pressing Ctrl-Alt-shift to delete the settings but nothing worked. Can't seem to find a solution and im really confused as to why he suddenly arose and began to occur also if im on any other tool of its fine, no lag, nothing: L

EDIT: Sorry, I just realized all that creates a form based on a train line, so the Rectangle and Ellipse etc tool is lagging as well: S
