• Plug iMac 27 inches 5 k for Photoshop and Lightroom

  Hi all

  I am a hobby photographer (has a Nikon D750) and I am interested in buying an iMac 27 inches 5 k for Lightroom and Photoshop. What configuration should I I look for reasonable (works smoothly 95% of the time) performance? Usually I update every 3-4 years max, so I want to be a bit future proof without excessive spending that I don't know that there is something even better in 2018-2019. I currently own a 2011 basic configuration end 13 inch, Macbook Pro and other than the magnificent 5 k screen, it's only the performance of Photoshop and Lightroom that are really convince me to level because it is still a great everyday task computer.

• Management performance issues and huge catalog

  I shoot architecture and real estate. I turn every day hundreds of frames and my current catalog becomes huge. I'm also starting to see a huge performance hit recently. Last night I just changed until 03:30 because LR would take some time as 20 seconds to perform a single task (like changing a slide or photo of the flag). A lot of time spinning beach ball. I have an external hard drive which I support to locally.

  What I was wondering is if I have everything except the most recent project files copy the disk external then keep it unplugged when I WIP edition if it would help performance issues?

  MacBook Pro (10.9.5) and LR CC running. I optimized my catalog and I also have a Cocktail for Mac running on my system to clean the memory, etc.

  Other ideas of huge catalogs management would be useful. I prefer not to make a new catalog for each customer that I shoot several each day and passing backward between catalog every day would be a pain in the thigh.

• LR5.7, D4s, ElCapitan and new home number

  I am REALLY frustrated right now and can't figure out the head or tail of all the chatter on the web about ElCapitan vs the earlier operating systems and attachment feature.

  My D4s used to attach wonderfully to my MBP and LR5.7.  Then I upgraded to ElCapitan and cannot get the attachment feature to work.  My camera is not recognized.  I have read so many things about it works, but not that CC/Cloud is justified then it isn't, and so on, I am simply overwhelmed and need an answer of creators.

  Will be my D4s attach to my MBP with the following:

  MBP

  OS - X ElCapitan v10.11.4

  LR v5.7

  Nikon D4s

  And if it won't work, what should I do to make it work?  I'm not really interested in the purchase of new software at the moment.  Something cash flow...  Is it possible to update my 5.7 existing or it removed for CC?

  Unfortunately, Apple beat the Nikon SDK with El Capitan and you need to update your Lightroom abreast.

  You do not need cc and can get a price of upgrade for the Lr6 then update to 6.5.

  The above mentioned permissions have nothing to do with that.

  Apple broke it, Nikon took time to update the SDK and Adobe didn't update old software...

  When I start the creative cloud, information that any programs not installed and I can download SP6. But I installed the latest versions of photoshop and lightroom works correctly.

  Make sure that you had not changed the language on creative cloud desktop

  Also try to perform steps below

  On the desktop creative cloud on the right side click gear icon and exit Creative Cloud App

  Then right-click on the creative cloud desktop shortcut and choose Properties.

  Then click on the Compatibility tab

  In compatibility mode ' ' make sure that ' run this program in compatibility mode for "check-box is disabled."

  If it is checked, uncheck it and click on apply, Ok. Then launch Creative Cloud application and try.

• Serial number and lightroom 6

  I have a plan with adobe and download all the updates, but have not updated for a while. right now I use LR5. I tried to upgrade the other day, at LR6 repeatedly, and the download crashed every time. I spent most of yesterday trying to get support from adobe, and even they have not been able to understand or the other. What does not occur if it's my catalog has been updated, but without LR6 I can't access it because the catalog is now too new for the LR version, I have at my disposal. My question is should I update LR 6, because I don't have it, and even if I asked it adobe did not it me my serial number? I was wondering if this could still be the problem, as someone at - it ideas I can try. I tried the update via the Cloud creative and autonomous, but neither have worked.  I use a Mac thanks

  You have subscribed to the CC in Lightroom, but you do not use? You always use 5 Lightroom?

  Even though Lightroom upgrades your catalog file to Lightroom 6/Lightroom CC 2015, your Lightroom 5 catalog is unchanged and still usable in Lightroom 5.

  In addition, I think that your post is confusing to me, I don't really know what the problem is or what you're trying to say. The catalog can be upgraded to a Lightroom CC 2015 catalog, if you were not using Lightroom CC 2015. Are you sure you don't have the 5 Lightroom and Lightroom CC 2015 installed?

  I have trouble making the distinction between Photoshop and Lightroom. Especially when you look at the subscription offers. For the software only sub you can choose Photoshop. There is no option to choose the CC or Lightroom. They always come together? Or I can choose who I want later in the process. They list them as if they were two separate programs, but I only know photoshop and have never heard of lightroom. Can someone please clarify?

  Speaking of subscription, LR is available in the subscription of photography which includes LR, PS and all CC features.

  Please use SQL for SQL command Append KM... You can delete the unnecessary steps in the KM.E.g. fi you won't create I$ table, control flow etc, then you can remove related steps.

• Owners of a Lightroom 6 and Lightroom CC

  Is - redundant to buy Lightroom CC and 6 Lightroom? When I travel I often have difficulties to access the Internet. I understand that I can work offline for 30 days without access to the internet, so that Adobe can check to see if my account is up to date. In addition, given that I bought both and downloaded accordingly, I expected to be able to see the two CC with Lightroom and Lightroom 6 in my applications list and use both, but whenever I try to access 6 Lightroom, I Lightroom CC. in my account of the documents that I have bought and downloaded 6 Lightroom, all I can find is CC with Lightroom.   Region 6 LR and LR CC exactly the same program. Files same get installed on your drive no matter what/who version you are installing.

  Here's how the 2 versions are separated.

  The difference comes in how you connect to LR.

  If you use an Adobe ID which is, or has already been, associated membership of photographers (even if the subscription is completed), it then becomes the CC version.

  If you sign with a id Adobe that is NOT and never has been, associated with a subscription plan then the program becomes the version 6

  If you need to have 2 separate Adobe ID to have the CC and version 6 active. You can do that on a single computer at the same time.

  But if you have 2 separate Adobe ID you can sign Out with one and sign in with the other. Who would turn LR of CC to 6 or 6 CC depending on which one you used to sign out of and sign back with, subscription ID or no subscription ID.

  I have both. Don't ask my why because ultimately I don't really know why I bought the upgrade to version 6. I have a subscription.

  Adobe does not integrate or covering Dreamweaver and Lightroom. It is easy to download galleries from lightroom, but how do I integrate these galleries on my website using Dreamweaver. I confess that I use Dreamweaver 5.5, but I see nothing in later versions, making it easy to do. I would think Adobe would be in addition to that. Maybe they are, but I'm not aware of any improvements.
