Periodic table of the elements

I created a table periodic elements, using a bunch of Boolean switches, color-coded and labeled as indicated.  Does anyone have any suggestions as to the best way to create a list of all the selected items?

The PC application uses a touch screen.  The general idea is below.

1 analyst clicks all the elements in the sample.  (I want to make sure the table only lists an item once, regardless if they click a button several times - I can make sure the button is disabled once they tap it once)

2. in a second tab, there will be a list of all the selected items on the 1st tab.  There will be a keyboard here, so that the analyst may enter the percentage weight for each element in the sample.

I've attached screenshots of what I have so far (not much).  You are looking for just a few general ideas - don't mean someone do my job...

  • help to get lost in a table of the elements.

Hi all. I need a little help to find something.

    Flash CS3: LIKE 1-2.

I've been messing around with colorTransform and it works via a series of clips, and somewhere along the way of the elements of my table started to get lost. Meaning, when I started a "trace (elementArray)" would recognize each element as a movieclip.

Now when I test only the elements 1, 2 and 5 are recognized as tongs and others come undefined.

Now the only thing I can think is the difference in the names for the mcs naming conventions (I shot two other files.). but that shouldn't be a problem. I checked and double checked the names of the instance and they are correct. No indication on what would be really appreciated.

    Thank you.

Thank you for your offer to help Kglad, but I understood it.

The code works, it was a problem with the video clips. They have been set to "track as button" so the clip of btnColor_mc has not registered.

  • How can I order items in a table of the element from the smallest to the largest?

Sorry for the question but I am a beginner.

    Thanks for the replies.

Go to the table palette; There is a sorting function node.

  • Drag and drop the element of the array of Clusters

I have a project that includes an array of 'tests', each of which is a cluster that contains an array of 'numbers', a matching the regular expression string and an array of "tasks" (all of them, is in turn, a group of elements).

    It is:

    • Tests (table of):
      • Cluster:
        • Reference numbers (an array of strings)
        • Regex (string)
        • Tasks (table of):
          • Cluster:
            • Task type
            • Basic channel,
            • Measuring channel
            • Other channels

I wish I could drag and drop to rearrange the task table in an individual event.  (It is a nice-to-have rather than a urgent request - more for my own learning that no matter what).  For now, I've implemented "Move up" and "Move down" buttons

Examples are fine for a single cluster that includes a table or an array of objects.  As soon as we have an array of clusters, it is difficult to access individual items within a specific cluster.

Who that it be completed can drag and drop into such a facility?

    Curiously,.

    Geoff

    Hello GeoffF,

It's certainly doable and you can even use the standard start drag and drop methods/events, the trickiest part is to determine the table of the elements that are selected on the mouse towards the top/mouse downwards and the swap of manual handling.  Fortunately, there are a few decent examples of how do this out there already, I suggest you take a look at this one:

Example of community: determine the Index of the clicked element Array in LabVIEW

    https://decibel.NI.com/content/docs/doc-22434

That should give you the selected table indexes, and then all you have to do is to move the elements around around the drop event.  I have attached a very basic demonstrative example that uses this code I just linked (you need to download that as well) and the events referred to swap two elements of the array.   The attached code is just thrown together, you'll want to design something more robust and scalable to any sort of actual use.

    Kind regards

  • some clues of the elements in the table 1 d

    Hello to you all,.

I am a very beginner in programming and using labview, so I have my apologies for any banality, I could write.

I have a table 1 d of numbers (1600 items) and let me know (this table) indexes of all items that are <1 and="">- 1.

Are there any suggestions? I am not quite aware of all the possible functions, that I can use.

Thank you very much for your help

It is a way to do...

You would wire your table to control "Your Array" and the output is a table 1 d with the indeces of the elements between-1 and 1

  • How to insert table 1 d elements in specific place in the 2D array

    Hello

I have a 2D color boxes [10 x 10] table, and I would replace elements with the elements of the array 1 d [4 items] at the precise place.

When I try to use, subset table replace "I can only specify the INDEX ROW or COLUMN INDEX where to start to put new items. But I need to select the two column/row index.

    Any ideas?

    Hi kamill,.

When replacing a 1 d table in a table 2D LabVIEW can only replace line - or columnwise.

When you want to replace specific, but independent, elements that you must use an autoindexing FOR loop to iterate through items of your1D or the berries!

  • Invert the table to the Add element to the front of the performance of Bay

    Hi all

I read in a few places that reverse an array to add the element to the front of it will give the best performance since no new allocation of memory is necessary.

I have 2 questions about this process:

    1. "reverse a table on requires pointers change.»

Is that mean that a table in Labview is like a linked list? who has pointers that point to the next element.

So when this inverse process occurs, the head of the linked list will be the last element of the array, and all links in the linked list will require a change.

Step 1: table of moose with one extra space at the end

    Step 2: Matrix inverse

Step 3: Add a new item at the end of the table opposite

    Step 4: Reverse again.

    2. the exercise of reverse Add then reverse is even worse in fact. Why is this?

"Overhead" is the need for new buffer allocations, which indireclly affects runtime but also memory.

Yes, often the paintings have an additional memory beyond the end of the table to avoid the resizing with each adding an item...

Your FAQ quotes says nothing about any reversal trick. To do this, the elements of the array need reverse look up, then inserted using the space soft (if it exists!), then the need even to reverse ber alements in place. Seems like a lot of work to do over and over again. Yes, it might be slightly more efficient that have to be allocated to each prefix operation but we do not really know what the compiler does. Maybe if soft is available, it would be to move all the items up and insert the element first, make a new allowance that occasionally necessary. Who knows? I have the greatest respect for Darren, the author of the "source". Perhaps he can clarify what he writes.

Benchmarking valid what is quite difficult.

In all cases, you often know the final size, so it can be distributed in one shot and the items replaced with valid data that you will. It's always orders if magnutide more effective than any other solution.  If you need to grow an element of a table at a time, add at the end, never at the begginning.

  • read the elements and index of a table

    Hello

I use the function buildArray to build a table 1 d of 1024 items.

Aferwards I want to extract all items + index of all the elements in another goal.

I mean if e.g. the 1st element of my table is 10, the second is 45, the third is 65 and I want to have (0.10), (1: 45), (2, 65).

    Can you please help me.

Use a loop FOR.  AutoIndex your table.  Use the table to build inside the loop TO create a table of the index (starting from the terminal i) and your indexed element.  Connect the new array to the output of the loop FOR (again, use autoindexing) to create a 2D array.

  • Get all the different values in a table - 'or array elements' does not work with I32

    Hello

I just found out that "array elements or" does not work with a table 1 d of integer values. I didn't expect that.

I did a semi quick forum search and did not find a pointer to an effective solution. Can someone give me a hint?

Do not back my initial intention is to list all the values that appear in an array of integers.

I thought that if I converted the figures for powers of 2 and or I had solved the problem at hand - only to discover that the elements of array does not.

If someone could propose a different approach, I'd be happy too.

I should mention that the execution time is a factor here - I need a fast code, but any suggestions are welcome because they could help me get started.

  • Set the color of the element table (active/inactive)

    Hello

I have an array whose elements are in the date format. is it possible to programmatically change the color of the elements for the active/inactive States?

    Thank you

    Hello labviewette,

If you mean the colors of the elements in a simple constant table in the active/inactive case you cannot change the colors.

In Active mode, the text is always black with white background and in idle mode it's the two grey-white.

I hope I have understood you.

    Hi rachid,.

Whence this table? Is a device for the acquisition of data AND measurement data?

If yes you can just change the type of waveform data, where a timestamp is included.

However, you can also create a waveform on your table 1 d using construction wavefrom, as here:

  • Build the name of guard of the table of the last element, but not the others. Workaround solution?

    Hello

Sorry if this has been posted before, I did the search first, but can't find anything.

Problem is that I have two configurations which are identical and must be ordered by a single vi. Given that they are the same, they are configured with the same sets of parameters so I decided to create a cluster of these and then build an array of clusters. In this way I need to use only a thread and if I need a given parameter I can get it easily from here (or so I thought) and also because I need to see if anything changes I can compare a thread instead of each of the parameters.

The gui has the list of parameters, then in the block diagram I group them appropiately, using "Bundle name" and then each bundle in a table by using "build the table. Problem is when I have the index in the array for the first place of the configuration and usage to unbundle the parameters I need, using "ungroup by name" (although if I use "Unbundle" the same thing happens) and lo and behol, the output names come from the configuration of the second, not the first.

Here's the curious thing, though, even if the names are all wrong, that the values are correct. I could live with that, but it's more boring it will be another very difficult user to understand the schema more this is just a proof of principle to test with two, eventually there will be eight or more and who's going to get really confusing.

Is there a way to get around this? Even if it is to change the names after unbundling.

Check the attached vi to see what I mean.

I think you forget an important point on the tables.  The only thing that may be different between each element of a table is its value.  The elements in the array must all share the same properties.  This would therefore include the names of the different elements that make up the cluster that is a table element.

It seems that the last group that builds in the table is the one that defines the names of the items that are in the element of the cluster.  You must give all elements of the array with the same name within the cluster.  Or use a cluster of clusters rather than a table of cluster to create your data structure.

You get it because dims_t is an array of OBJECTS - not a table of scalars. But your SELECT statement returns scalar.

There IS NO such object, named "dimension_id"; It is an ATTRIBUTE of the object DIM_O. DIMENSION_ID is a SCALAR which, as says the exception, is a "No nested table element; If you cannot select/Update lines of it.

What you do is equivalent to the following:

    DECLARE

    dims_t dim_T;

    number of dim_id;

    dim_o design;

    BEGIN

    Design: = dim_o (3, 'ghi');

    SELECT DIM_O (DIM_ID, LABEL) BULK COLLECT INTO table DIMS_T (d_o);

    end;

    ORA-06550: line 7, column 1:

This SELECTION is trying to design it as a table when it's a SCALAR - so the same exception you get.

Automatic line extraction would probably be your best bet.

Each of the elements will have the "column of the database" the "Source Type" value with the value of "Source" is the name of column it represents.

Here is a cheat I used:

Use 'Form on the Table' and delete all the stuff you don't want. (for example the automatic process DML)

Basically it is a wizard that does all the hard work (of the foregoing) for you.
