Personal e-mail on a company phone blackBerry Smartphones

Hello

I'm very new to Blackberry and on the ecosystem and wondered if you could help me? I just got a Blackberry Enterprise and thought it would be useful to add my Gmail account. I discovered how to do this, but before I do I wanted to check - will these messages routed through our business systems and be readable by our IT Department? If so, is it possible to stop what is happening?

Thanks in advance

Ouch... the pain of buying used. Here is a KB with some information for you:

KB05099 Steps to take before selling it, or after buying a used BlackBerry smartphone

Unfortunately, in your case, is that part of it... you need to remove the it policy which is latent on the device. Here are some procedures that may (or may not) work:

In all cases - wait that your BB will liquidate as fees and clean. This means that if you ever put anything on it, it will be lost.

  • Multiple e-mail addresses for a Contact blackBerry Smartphones

Does anyone know how to store, and most importantly USE more than one address of a contact on a Pearl running 4.3.0.127 software?  BB is a great email management tool, but it has a major drawback because I can store only one of the e-mail addresses of the person, unless I'm willing to have several contact entries in the address book for a person.  I can't store a person working address, home address and phone, let alone address addresses for both phones. Since I was with Sprint and SPRINT software FORCES of e-mail TO SEND PICTUREMAIL on someone of OTHER PHONE, it IS EVEN MORE a PROBLEM!

If you have a suggestion, please share it.

    Thank you

No offense... it's very easy to do. Go to your address book -> hoghlight a contact and click the Menu button-> change -> click on the Menu button and select Add an email address. You did!

You can add up to 3 email addresses.

  • E-mail account of decoupling of lost phone blackBerry Smartphones

Hi everyone, I need your help. I recently lost my blackberry and I had connected my hotmail account to the phone. Is there a way I can disassociate it now? I myself have retired to the fact that theres nothing I can do on the card memory and messages, etc., but is it possible to link the hotmail account so that he who has the phone has no access to my e-mail account? Please help because it can become a serious security problem for me. The only thing I could think is changing the password for the hotmail account so the phone would not allow the verification of authentication. I don't know if it would work. Worst case I have to disable my hotmail account and I really want to do. All advice would be a great help.

    Very much appreciated.

    -Shiv Kodnani. (Mumbai, India)

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Change your Hotmail password will work... DO IT NOW! Then worry about the rest.

You can connect to your Web of BIS carrier site and remove the e-mail account configuration. Or you can call your operator and ask them to do-, you must call them anyway to report the loss.

On your next BB, consider using a device lock password... that would protect your data against the one who picks up your BB where you lost.

    Good luck!

  • Photos of sending to other phones blackBerry Smartphones

I just want to check... it doesn't seem there is no option to send a photo of my blackberry curve to the PHONE number of another person. I can only send to an e-mail address, facebook or a Messenger contact. And then I see the "send using Bluetooth,' I want to explore at a later date...!

Can anyone confirm I can't send to a phone number or if I can, HOW?

by MMS, Yes. Most carriers offer this service.

In the United States, for example, TMobile, AT & T and Verizon do.

Sprint is the one who does not. Alltel has everything this week.

    Who is your provider?

  • E-mail on BB 8520 curve blackBerry Smartphones

    Hi, I'm new here.

I'm having problems to configure my BB 8520 curve to receive e-mails. First of all, I see that my BB is a little different from the others. People tell me that normally to configure the BB to receive emails that they go to configuration > configuration of email and their email and password. Well, I do too, but instead of asking my e-mail address they ask a series business and user.

Is - what happends because I've not given plan? Or to have your e-mail address on the BB curve, that you must have a service company?

    Thanks in advance

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

To use the Push RIM owner messaging capability, you must have an adequate data of your carrier plan. Carriers welcome BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) to their BB users. In general, BIS is not available through generic data plans. Several ships make stop what is needed the Blackberry data plan. Whatever they call it, it is the carrier that delivers BIS users of BB - contact - the for assistance. Once you have a compatible BIS data plan on your BB (fees regardless of your carrier will charge, btw), then you will have personal email added to the e-mail Setup Wizard.

Regarding the 'Enterprise' option, which does not apply to you at all (you know if he did).

    Good luck!

  • Phone blackBerry Smartphones can access. Need to reset to factory default.

My 8330's "m" key no longer works, and I need to enter my password, so I can't access my phone. I have everything backed up via the desktop software, and now I want to do a reset of the phone, and then restore the settings so that I can make outgoing calls and access my phone book and e-mail.

Is there a way to make a phone hard reset (i.e. to factory default) so that I can access my phone again? Any help appreciated. I'm willing to try anything, because my phone is essentially useless for anything other than incoming calls at this stage.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

As full a long time that you have made a backup of your data, you can use this procedure to reset your BB to the default settings (at least for the currently installed operating system, that is).

Good luck and let us know!

  • Smart phone BlackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry will register (on Airtel with prepaid card)

    Hello

I tried to get the BIS enabled on my phone and so far have failed. I searched on the net and do not have anything conclusive.

Basically, I am able to connect to the internet using my camera, but I'm not able to get emails or other data of work services.

During registration (airtel.blackberry.com, my provider is Airtel) I get a message that tells me that the device is not registered with my provider of wireless and asks me to register by going to 'Host Routing Table' of the 'Advanced Options '.

I was able to do, as many times and always without success. Also, I've rebooted several times and no. - GB.

So far, I have also contacted my provider of service several times, they were not able to help. Suggesting a reinstall the BB software, advice, I'm skeptical of.

Another interesting thing is that I am able to use Google Maps and GMail, applications when I activate "APN Settings" in "TCP/IP" and if I disable them I get a message saying that I don't have data services enabled.

Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem?

    Kind regards

    ShiftingPain.

On your BlackBerry device, go to:

1 send your service from your carrier's BIS site books:
    Of your handheld: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15402

Go to the Personal Email Set Up icon and sign. Then under help!, select Service books and select send service books.

    Your desktop PC: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830
North American carriers - scroll down to select your carrier
Carriers worldwide - find your operator from the list

    2. with the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart. This restart, even if you have already done this, is often necessary to install the service books.
