Photo sphere on Droid Maxx?

Hey guys,.

I was wondering if you guys have found the camera sphere on the Droid Maxx function or know if he could come to our phones in the future? I love this feature and tried it on a Nexus phone before. Everyone that I've shown he thought it was amazing. Not many devices have this feature, even if it's a feature of the stock android operating system. It allows you to shoot panoramic, but in 360 degrees. It of amazing and is a feature unique to Android 4.2 + devices. I know that many customers love this feature if they say he can do.

Thank you for your time!

Brandon

The device was designed to be much simpler. That being said, there will be improvements in the next software update. I can't tell if these features will be added if.

  • DROID MAXX camera & Dock car Griffin

I think I found a bug using the camera while the camera is embedded in the car Dock Griffin. Not a big deal, but it would be great if this could be studied, and possibly fixed in a future update of camera for the Droid Maxx. I have attached a photo of the dock that I use and some screenshots in a word document.

    Firmware: 12.7.7.obake

UPDATE: I went and spoke with a representative of Verizon and it was able to verify this bug with an all new MAXX DROID and a brand new Griffin Car Dock it in the store. So I'm leaning towards it being a bug in the software of the camera or something that has to do with the tag NFC in the car Dock Griffin himself.

    Thank you

I reported this to Matt. I saw the same thing on my Maxx. I was able to select the entire document, but it sure is not appear correctly. Thanks again for reporting this.

  • Transfer data from Droid Maxx Droid Turbo

    Hello

My new Droid Turbo arrives Monday. How can I transfer all of my Droid Maxx above my new Droid Turbo? Is there a simple way to do this? Thank you all!

To migrate from Motorola app should be able to help with that. It is designed to transfer data from one phone to the other. It seems simple enough to set up & use.

  • Changed security policy Droid Maxx

    Hi all

Long time Android user. Wife and I own the Droid Maxx XT1080. She began to receive a notification "Security Policy Changed, Internet sharing disabled" this error coincided with no internet connectivity despite being connected to our wifi (which I have cycled power just to be sure it wasn't the problem). I have also restarted the phone, cleared the cache, 'forgotten' & manually reconnected to our wifi with no luck. We also called support of Verizon who have never heard of this error. Someone at - he already heard of this?

Your wife has the device attached to a work email account? The most obvious thing I can think of is that a new policy has been pushed down.

The only way to tell for sure is to remove all e-mail accounts and see if it changes. I do not consider this a mistake - it is a change of policy to use... Let us know if this is helpful.

  • Droid Maxx

I recently got a Droid Maxx and speech playback through the entirety of the header before the message. I called Verizon and they said that it is a function of the Droid Maxx and cannot be disabled. I'm a bit of a person impatient and don't really care to hear this information unless I want to. Anyone know if Verizon is correct on that?

    I beg of you.

If you do go ahead and Google Voice installation, note the phone number they assign you (you don't need to give, it is only if your phone can send calls to voicemail of Google.

When you install the application on your mobile phone, it can give you an error of not being able to access the settings of your operator. It is also a thing of Verizon. AT & T, T-Mobile and other allow Google Voice for it. However don't be afraid.

You can complete the configuration manually by opening the dialer and these three numbers:

    • * 71 [your Google Voice number]

    • * 90 [your Google Voice number]

    • * 92 [your Google Voice number]

You will get a confirmation or anything like that. Once you press "call" for each, the phone simply hangs up after a few seconds. The next time someone calls you however, the call will go to Google Voice if you don't answer and you'll see all this work!

    Good luck!

  • Droid Maxx (Kitkat) - car dock Griffin (Dialer)

    Hey guys,.

Today, I write about my current business with Motorola. This is the case number is140121-006278.

I use my car griffin dock to make and receive calls on my Maxx Droid while I'm on the road.

I noticed since the update of Kitkat on my Droid Maxx replacement I got Verizon today only once

I use the Dock car numbers on the keypad are really hard to press. I have been troubleshooting

with Motorola and Verizon Tier 2 Tech Support level 2 and were able to get this fixed up.

    Info on the device:

    • The system version: 19.5.3.obake - maxx_verizon. Verizon.en.US

    • Build number: SU2-3

    • IMEI: (removed for security reasons)

    We tried things:

    • Safe mode

    • Force stop & erase the data on the phone in settings---> Apps

    • Reset of data without restoration of data or google account

I don't know what to do, because even the gal that helped me at the Verizon store Corporate in Beaverton, OR say the same thing on his Droid Ultra with Kitkat.

Has anyone else noticed this who has the car Dock Griffin made 4 Ultra Droid & Maxx or has heard of this problem?

  • DROID MAXX HD repair

    Hey guys,.

I was wondering you guys don't know if Motorola has a way to put a new installation of the operating system android Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX HD if I sent it to them for repair. He has cronic random reboot problems. I have tried factory reset settings and start android menus. I cleared the cache and left bone stock. Verizon sent me a replacement phone, but sucks the vibrator on the new similar device. If I really want to send this unit I had nine of Verizon in to get fixed. But I wonder if they would actually be able to solve this problem. I am sure that it is a software problem, but I can't seem to get a straight answer if it's something they can do for me back on the phone reps. I remember with my iphone, I could force it to connect to itunes and it installs a new copy of iOS top. I have to imagine it is possible for them to do, but I'm not sure.

    Thank you

    Brandon

Yes, the phone can be flashed by Motorola. They should be able to get to the top and running, and if they can't they will replace it. It is at their discretion. If it is still under warranty that there will be no charge for labor.

If you have a backup phone that it is, in my humble OPINION, the best way to go. It is, of course, your decision on how you want to manage. I hope this helps.

  • Unable to connect to a wireless network with Droid Maxx

I have a Microsoft wireless router. My laptop and a smartphone from Samsung can connect to the internet without any probplem. However, two smartphone Motorola Droid Razr Maxx can stay in touch. The phone can find the network, will connect for a fraction of a second, then just go to 'get address ISP. " I checked the log of the router, and it shows that an Android device on the network.  Do I need a new router, or someone can help me to connect my phone so I can use the network to save time of data?

    Hello, Marie ZKreider,.

Thank you for the Microsoft Community approach. I understand that you have problems with your smart phone wireless network connection. The question you posted would be better suited to the forum of Support from Motorola. I suggest that you check with Motorola support for more information.

  • What is the right choice of MAXX?

I was completing the profile, you are prompted by the investigation and asks him what kind of phone I have.

The phone itself says Droid Maxx.

However, the profile options are Ultra Maxx Droid or Droid Razr Maxx?

I chose Ultra Maxx, but I would like to know if there is a way to say exactly that via the phone.

The site of Verizon shows the phone as a Droid Maxx. NO Razr or Ultra mentioned.

    Thank you!

    Byrd

Just to clarify things completely, the actual names are Ultra Droid, Droid Maxx and Droid Mini. Clarifications on this forum, they list the Droid Maxx as Droid Ultra Maxx. They didn't want any confusion on the Droid Razr Maxx, Razr Maxx HD Droid and Droid Maxx. It's a simple solution to prevent people from getting confused. I hope this helps.

  • intermittent voice transmission

Droid Maxx. 2 years and more. Sometimes what I say is not heard at the other end. Then it's OK. No trend about the power of the signal or other obvious factors. Not seeing any physical problems with issuer being blocked. No hearing problem. Suggestions?

Using Advanced calling? If you are, is it better if you disable VoLTE?

  • Dalvik cache

Then it updates earlier made clear the dalvik cache in the start menu of recovery to take an incredibly long time. I know that this has been discussed at some point, but no real explanation was ever given. Does anyone know if the Moto X 1st generation suffers from it as well? I was just curious to know if this could be one of the reasons that Motorola decided to not upgrade the Droid Maxx. Did someone never found a fix for the delay to the clearing the dalvik cache? I had many features of many factory and never saw it take so long to clear the cache, it is usually done in a few seconds. I would like to hear of a Motorola technician who understands what has caused the phone to start taking so long to clear the cache after the update. Thank you.

Just to be clear, although it is confusing, the cache partition isn't Dalvik cache. Dalvik cache is stored in the/data partition. The cache partition stores things like log files, temporary files for system applications and system update files, until they are implemented.

I know not why this happens, but my guess is that, rather than a simple format of the cache partition, Motorola began to crawl the system files to remove file by file - perhaps, they are sure wiped or something. I'm not sure.

If I remember correctly, the Turbo on KitKat and Lollipop had the same behavior, but the Turbo 2 on Lollipop is now an instant wipe. See here for reference on the Turbo in 7-10 minutes to erase the cache partition: http://androidforums.com/threads/droid-turbo-reference-and-tips.879102/#post-6797620

The 2013 Moto X also had the same behavior when it has been updated to 4.4.4 (see https://forums.motorola.com/posts/db89ab1a65) and it has been updated to the lollipop, so I would say that this has nothing to do with this decision. It's probably more that Motorola just doesn't have the resources to work on the update and would rather spend on M updates for new phones (unlocked 2014 Moto X, Moto models G, Turbo, Turbo 2, Maxx 2, so updates to security for the platforms that are already on the M.)
