Photos of flag-picking

Hello

In my first Lightroom version (v.2) there is this beautiful sort function that doesn't seem to work with newer versions. Flag-picking photos and before a new collection-picked photos, Lightroom removed the old pick flags in the new collection, but the flags in the collection or database of origin have been preserved. So I could re - then take pictures of the new collection (that's what speaks of Scott Kelby p. 47 in Lightroom 2 manual). Well, this function no longer works. Is it just me or this is a feature that has been removed in more recent versions of Lightroom? I can of course the old pics of flag in the new collection retire. However, which also removes the flags in the original database and in all other collections where the image may appear (very annoying!).  Does anyone know how this feature works in the 5 Lightroom? Thanks for your help!

Yes, it changed into LR4. The indicators are now global.

  • Bug in version 6.2.1 of the filter? (flag to reset filters turned off all the time)

I love working with the filter with indicator / without indicator with my photos.
With the 6.2.1 last version, with indicator filter go back "filter off" all the time.
Example, 3 pictures are marked, I select, I merge them into an HDR... .and when you finish the filter is reset to filters turned off.
Also edit a photo in Photoshop... .returning to lightroom... .filters off

    Quite boring!

also ask, if you merge 3 pictures that are flagged (picked) in an HDR, it would be nice that the merged result is marked as?

I think that you have unlocked filters.  Make sure this file > library Filters > Lock filters is verified (the lock is also represented by the padlock on the right end of the library filter bar - make sure that it is locked).  When it is locked, the current filter is not changed by Photo > merge pictures (at least in my 2015.2.1 CC).

There is no flag in Photos feature - you use a keyword flag and a smart album, collect photos

    Microsoft Digital Imaging Anniversary Edition

I have problems with digital imaging.  Never been wrong before, so I'm puzzled!  Recently added pix from CD to digital photo Image file picked up but did not display the photos on the page of digital image library - they come just under the icon standard w/o a view of the pix.  I tried to delete these files where the pix would not come to the top of the digital image.  Digital image would not remove them.  I deleted the pix of the computer files.  Digital image still would not remove the files in the library. I went into the Control Panel, I removed & reinstalled the Digital Image, but all files keep coming back.  Digital Imaging tells me I have 4000 photos stored there!  If I do, where are they?  I can't find them!   Is there something else I can do?

I use Windows XP.  I've seen Info for Vista, but I need it for XP.

  • Automatic movement after tracking photo (selection)

I thought that see somewhere, that there is a framework that has allowed the software to automatically switch to the next in the library module photo if you mark it as a pick. I looked everywhere, but what I found something on the line who said that if I hold down the SHIFT key, it would automatically go to the next photo, if I picked it up. Is there a parameter so that it can do it automatically?

  • all photos are missing

I backed up my photos last night and now they are all gone.  I don't even see the boxes of images, only grey with exclamation points.  When I try to locate I see the files that I have used to have, but how do I know which photo I locate?  Also, it is not possible to select several photos rather than picking one at a time.

I learned that this is by far one of the issues more confused with Lightroom-lack of location photos when I backup or, change the name, put on external hard drive, etc.  In addition, just understand catalogs in general.

I can't wrap my head around it and I'm sure that there is an explanation.

I'm sure it's much easier for a lot of people!

    Thanks for the tips,

    Meg

Backups if done properly, would never affect Lightroom. Well, you must be a bad thing. All you have to do to make backups is to COPY (and not MOVE) the pictures on another disk. All you have to do to make backups of your catalog files is to enable the option in the catalog settings. You must do BOTH >

Files with? icons can be resolved via the instructions on this link (with photos).

  • Status of the indicator in the catalog is not preserved when the photo is added to the collection

    Here's my workflow

    1 import photos

    2. click on «All the Photos»

    3. in library mode, examine each photo. For each, I press X to reject, for the flag, or to not do.

    4. always in "All Photos," I select groups of photos to create Collections, for example, 'Beach 2010-11 journey.' I understand not all photos of beach trip: those which are marked with a flag, those that are marked to reject, and those who are not marked not anyway.

    And here is my problem

When I go to the newly created collection, no pictures are marked with white or black flag. All photos are present, but none have kept the status of the indicator. If I return to display 'All the Photos', the flags are still there, but they are not visible in the collection.

I do not create virtual copies during collections.

    I use LR 3.2 on OS X 10.6.5.

    Any help is appreciated!

This is the way Lightroom works... has always. Flag State is local to the folder or the collection in which it is defined. It shows that in this collection or folder. In fact, you might have the same photo in a collection and rejected in another and neither in the photo folder.

  • change the same variable in different loops

    Hi all

I use an event producer/consumer-controlled architecture where the two loops run processes acting on a common variable.

To be more precise, I intend to change a flag photo in the loops of consumer and producer. That's why I need to share this variable between the two loops.

I thought that the best way to do this is to use the indicator of functional photo as part of a Global Variable:
1 / FGV initialization, which is a cluster that contains the indicator image

2 / in two loops, the image indicator last value is extracted from the FGV using an action of 'read '.

3 / the value of the indicator of picture is wired through different processes that would change partially or totally

4 / Finally, in two loops the photo update flag values are wired as input to the FGV.

Above is the ideal case, I expected to work. However, this does not work, and is what I've actually implemented:

    (a) in the loop of the producer, the indicator of picture is updated via a shift register, and at the same time, the new value is stored in the FGV

    (b) in the loop of consumption, the indicator of the image is retrieved from the FGV, and its present value is stored in the FGV (as in the ideal case)

Then I don't why it does not work. I use other FGVs in my VI and which are modified by two loops, but THEY work...

My VI is really great, so I can't take a picture of him. Can I give you a diet simplified what is my current architecture, whose shot at him. I hope it helps.

    Thank you.

    Florian

    Hi Florian.

Two FGV reads on the left side of your curls below will be a problem unless you use the data flow to control. The FGV bed (as shown) will occur at the start and then after the structure of each loop ends. When you really want to 'read' when Gets an element from the queue or in the loop of photo - when there are new values.

The loop of consumption is fairly easy to treat. Just run the Dequeue 'error' error 'in' on your FGV. This will ensure that playback of the FGV happens when you get a new item.

The photo event loop is a bit tricky. You could send a user of the consumption loop event (after your FGV write) to the photo event loop. In this case the user loop photo, put a reading of the FGV. This ensures that you will get the changes made in the loop of the consumer. The only downside to this approach is that the photo loop always runs once when a change is made in the loop of the consumer. You can use a Boolean value to prevent the image to be written (ensures also the image is always written after the end of the event Structure).

    Here is an example:

  • Facial recognition Lightroom

    Hello

I am new to Lightroom and I know how to set all and facial recognition by creating the faces, I don't know even how to organize pictures of one person and how do I sort them according to the date they were taken. For example if I created a face for my son and I want to create a CD with the photos of my son just can I do in Lightroom and how I can create it. I see people in the catalog (left panel) I know how to create the file, but how do I get the photos from the 'people' that is displayed on the right panel?

can someone help me with this :-)

    Thank you

    Martha

Hi Martha. Facial recognition in Lightroom tags are key words with the 'person' checked property. All keywords are available in the library module. Try this:

    1. Press G to enter the module development in grid mode.
    2. Find the control panel list of keywords on the right.
    3. At the top of the keyword list Panel is the keywords filter box. Type the name of the person you want to filter in the box to search for the keyword.
    4. When you search for the keyword, hover your mouse over the key word. On the right displays an arrow that says "Click to view the photos containing the keyword"
    5. There is a sorting function on the toolbar under the grate. If you don't see the press of T toolbar to display it.

Instead of manually filtering, you can also create a 'Smart' Collection which includes the special search criteria. Smart collections are created in the right panel in the Collections section. Here is the smart collection to find pictures of my daughter. Some ideas for the criteria that can help you (criteria depend on how you use Lightroom to tag your photos):

    • all the photos containing the tag a certain keyword (keyword of your son)
    • all Tags photos with a score of 3 or above
    • All the photos with the tag '5 stars '.
    • Photos marked as 'Pick '.

When you have all the photos you want to burn to a CD using the file, export function.

    1. Click Edit, select all to select all images.
    2. Click on file, export
    3. Choose export to at the top and choose the CD/DVD
    4. Select any other options you want for the files (resize, rename, tattoo, etc.)
    5. Click Export.  (My computer has a burner, so he says 'disc burning only is not supported on this computer' and my export button is grayed out.)

    I hope this helps!

    Kind regards

  • LR3 Mac Bug - display signs of inquiry

Bug: When you view several pictures for the survey (N), you can not just a photo of flag/rate/color. Instead, all of them get that qualification.

This seems to make opinion Survey unusable for editing purposes. Previous versions of the LR do behave that way.

Is there a new setting that I am not aware, or is this a real bug?
