Photos of Windows 8.1 for Windows XP...

I had vertical, horizontal and photos of som... Vertical photos, I had to turn pix Style Google, no problem - they showed, as expected, the Windows 8.1...

Went to my job, where I wanted to show the pictures on the XP machine, but they were NOT turning! Why? This was never a problem before. My solution was to upload the pixlr.com picures and there to rotate photos.

Nope, no compression. You can check-in click right properties and see the resolution and the file type stay exactly the same.

Hi, I have problems on developing an image as a wallpaper on my laptop.

It comes up with 'The file that c:\users\daniel\appdata\roaming\microsoft\windows Photo Gallery\Windows Photo Gallery wallpaper.jpg could not be written.

I tried right click and do it the long way to go to appearance and personalization in the control panel in the start menu. None of these work and I wonder why it's happening.

my computer is Windows vista Home premium and is about half a year. If anyone knows how to solve the problem of it not allow me to set a background please give me suggestions.

    Dan

Treat it as a corrupted user file.  To fix this usehttp://windows.microsoft.com/en-AU/windows-vista/Fix-a-corrupted-user-profile.  Use the new administrator account to do this.  Follow the directions given and everything will be fine and your new admin account should work normally.  Once you have ccnfired you can access, to all your acccess all of your programs and files, you can delete the old user obsolete and corrupt.

That's all there is to it.  Now that we know, this is the profile and not the system, the solution has been set for us.

I hope this helps. Feel free to post back with any questions as you go along.

    Vista
    %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows photo Gallery

  • Question about scanning of photos with Windows Photo Gallery.

I'm trying to scan photos with Windows Photo Gallery.  When I scan, it is not scanner full size. It gives me just a small photo to work. It does not give me an option to choose "paper format" which seems like it should solve my problem.  Help!

I was wondering... What are the dimensions in pixels of the scans? I think it would help if you increase the DPI of your scans to 600 300 or even... look for the custom settings button.

Also... If the scan bed (large white area) is included in any of your scans... try to get a glimpse and you will have an option to drag a rectangle around the exact part of the photo you want to include in your analysis.

Find much info on the scanning on the following site:

  • Photo Gallery Windows has stopped working properly

When I try to use the windows laetitia Gallery, it shows a window that says "microsoft windows."  Photo Gallery Windows has stopped working properly.  then he said: it's the search for solutions, and the solution is always to update windows.  When I check my windows updates, it is said that it is up to date.  I have an automatic update.   This has happened for weeks.  I checked for solutions, installed things he told me too, etc, it continues to be every time.   I am able to use windows movie maker and media player, but it has happened with the photo gallery.

Here is a solution I found:

    (1) Control Panel > Folder Options > view > show hidden folders and files
    2) go to: [reader
Letter]: \Users\ [user] \AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows photo library
    (3) delete all content (or back up if you like or at least copy to a folder separate until that you confirm the data is not lost and everything works as it should)
    (4) Photo Gallery start Windows

All files must still be there, and should remain intact, but the problem
should be resoved. It may take a minute or two to rebuild your library.

If this does not work go to start / search and type in reports on problems and Solutions, and double click on the program icon that appears.  See if he has everything related to this issue.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

  • How to import or drag and drop photos into Windows Live Movie Maker?

I'm unable to either import or drag and drop photos into Windows Live Movie Maker.  I just finished a movie and when I try to open a new project, I click on "Add photos and video", taking me to 'my pictures', but when I try to open him "add photos and video", the "file name" has so much history, it doesn't allow me to click on the location of my file.  How can I get rid of this story?  The first film was so easy, but this new project has been up to this impossible after about 7 hours of attempts.  Help, please!

    Hi Anniebp2,

I think perhaps the best next step after all your efforts of trying to fix the program.  For this, since it is part of the Windows Essentials pack, you can go to the page Windows Essentials and re - download and re-install the package, which will update and fix the movie maker if necessary. I hope that this solves the problem for you. Please let me know how it goes.

  • Photos in Windows Live Photo Gallery does not?

I use the photo gallery Windows for years.  When I updated to Windows 7 recently, I upgraded to Windows Live Photo Gallery and everything has been fine until recently - all of a sudden, when I open it, there are a ton of pictures that don't charge - they are solid gray rectabgles or rectangle of generic icon 'island '.  When I double click on it, my image opens, but I have to be able to see all my photos in the Gallery - is - anyone know why this is happening?

    Hi Tatifl,

    (a) don't you make changes to your computer before the onset of the problem?

    (b) what kind of image files you are trying to open?

    (c) that you get the error messages?

    (d) what is the size of the file you are viewing?

Put the computer in a clean boot State and check if the problem persists.

Note If the computer is connected to a network, network policy settings may prevent you from following these steps. We recommend strongly that you do not use System Configuration utility to change startup options on the computer, unless a support engineer Microsoft directs you to do so. This can make the computer unusable.

    a. log in the computer using an account with administrator rights.

    b. Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration utility. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

    c. under the general tab, click Selective startup, and then clear the check box load startup items. (The check box use the file Boot is not available.)

    d. on the Services tab, click to select the skin all the Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all.

Note: Following this step lets services Microsoft continue to run. These services include networking, Plug-and-Play, record of events, error reporting, and other services. If you disable these services, you can permanently delete all restore points. Do not do this if you want to use to restore the system with the existing restore points.

    e. click OK and then click on restart.

Note: Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    a. Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

    b. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option and then click OK.

    c. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

  • Green tint to my photos in Windows Live Photo Gallery

When I open an individual photo in Windows Live Photo Gallery, the background color that surrounds the picture is a pale lime and this actually dyed color image. If I move this image to other photo editing software, it seems normal. This has nothing to do with my color setting of Windows I've tried different settings.

On other programs, the background color is the normal white.

I found a solution by searching the Web.

Open display in Control Panel, click on "change display settings", click "Advanced settings", click on "Color management", click on the "color management" bar, click the box that says: "Use my settings for this device", click on "Advanced" tag, find "Calibrate display" and click it, follow the instructions in the menu for calibrating your monitor. " Save the new calibration settings.

Problem solved for me, the Green tint disappeared.

  • Change the order of photos in a folder of photos from Windows 7 Pro

I am a wedding photographer and until this week have used XP Pro. Due to a blow up PC, I had to get a new one with Windows 7 Pro on this subject. Under XP, I edited my photos in Nikon Picture Project and then copied to my images. I could then change the final order, they appeared by clicking on the left and drag it. This does not work when I copy them into a folder of photos of Windows 7 Pro, I can't change their order of appearance, I need to do this before I burn it to a CD/DVD to give to a client. It's a minor thing but cause me major problems. I note that I have almost 70 years and it took me several years to master XP, there isn't a lot of time to master Windows 7 no matter what help would be really appreciated.

Depends on exactly how / what to order you need.

In the images window, to the tr at the top of the page there are a few options to "reorganize by.

There is also a drop-down list arrow options view

Also on the title header for example name/Date etc if you click the title files will be re-arranged, usually to name, in alphanumeric order and Date, asscending or descending
