Photos will create new "moments".

I use Photos on OS X 10.10.5 1.0.1 (Yosemite).  For some reason, in the view "Pictures" of the Photos program, there is no new 'moments' created since mid-March, even if I imported a bunch of photos taken since then.  The photos can be viewed, for example, in 'Albums' "All Photos", but they do not appear in the 'photo view' because there has been no new 'moments', created under which they would be filed.  Can anyone help?

Please update the Photos to the current version, which is 1.5. It solves many present problems in earlier versions.

  • How can I force photos to create miniature previews?

    Hello

I use the latest version of OS X El Capitan and the latest version of Photo.

TL; DR my Photos library has about 26 000 images and missing about half of thumbnail and preview images so that if I click on the site I can see the image, but the place where the visualisΘe photo should be is just a white square of white.

Picture this fixed over time (if I leave the program open and wait long enough) on its own?

Or do I need to force it to happen?  And is there a good average force photos to create new images for preview and thumbnail?

Long story, so I recently came out of space on my external hard drive and I had a bigger, and I discovered that my old drive was formatted in "case sensitive" (I must have inadvertently done, not realizing the consequences).  I was somehow prevented from copy directly to my library on my new drive (because I didn't want to continue to use a formatted drive "case sensitive".  Yes El Capitan stop copying and prevents you from copying any part of the photo library at all being possibly a very small part of it was a conflict in the case.

I tried different things that did not work to transfer the player, including compress them the library and then copy and then decompress it (el capitan does not unpack it happen for the same reason case-sensitive I think).  Then, someone suggested to me that I use "PowerPhotos" (http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/powerphotos/) to "Reproduce" my photo on my new disk library.  I did and it works, and it seems that all of my copied images (using four different leaders as in Re: duplicated photo with PowerPhotos library), but when I do double it not to duplicate most of the thumbnail or preview images too.

Then I tried to 'rebuild' my photo library by clicking Control + option during the commissioning of the Photo but that is not recreate the thumbnail or presents in preview.  Then I tried a few suggestion that is in many places on the internet to remove a collection of files in the contents of the package before the reconstruction of the Photo...  I tried and it also did not work.  Then somewhere else on the internet, it has been suggested that I have rotate my images clockwise, and then again to the right and requiring photos to create new images for preview and thumbnail... it seemed to work but I left during the night and Photos crashed this morning when I wake my computer from sleep mode , and at that time he did about halfway...  I'm running a 2012 rMBP 2.6 GHz quad core i7 with 16 GB of ram.

    Thank you!

According to the Apple knowledge base article repairing the library must recreate thumbnails, see:

Difficulty of missing or incorrect thumbnails in photo - Apple Support

You can also try to select several photos at once and then use the command "Image > turn left" or just press ⌘R.  Then rotate the photos using ⌥⌘R.

This will make a lossless edict forcing thumbnails to be re-created.

If the repair does not recreate thumbnails, test, if the originals are in your library. Maybe the edited versions have lost connection with the originals.  You can edit the photos made at all?

You can P2V Ubuntu as much as you want and it leaves intact with the exception of any software source P2V you install, which is why with most of the Linux distributions I choose to use Clonezilla Live by creating first and empty VM with a VHD in the same size that the disk source hard and then start the physical Machine and the VM with Clonezilla Live and the disk image source hard to target hard drive via the local network.  Once image of the Virtual Machine will generally start without any problem and you now have a clone of work.  If you can not networked together, you can create an image on a USB key and restore the target of the Virtual Machine from the USB, for example.

To the extent where Windows 7, you will have problems of WPA that can reach the source as well as to run WPA on either and once WGA is running on both.  Nothing gets deleted however I read messages when some users have ended up losing access to the Source and the machine virtual without having to purchase additional licenses.  So which overturned a legal issues however doing a P2V with Windows 7 could be problematic.

Bottom line is that you must observe the EULA for the product!

  • Settings do not create new versions

    Hello world

First of all, thanks in advance to anyone who can help you with this...

    Context:

Trying to install new software (Adobe CC and 5 Lightroom and PS5) since I had several accidents and problems related to the opening.

Before this all what it has worked extremely well for a moment of the NGOs, including several plug-ins (suite of Nik, CS4, other)

Was using OS10.6.8 and Aperture3.2.4, upgraded to 10.8.5 and 3.4.5 in January 2016 - everything worked beautifully always having tested through previously cloned drive.

Another community of Apple support helped with the uninstalling CC and check for potential problems with the earlier erroneous CC release February 2016.

    Problem:

    • In any library I or now create (for example, test) adjustments to the newly imported photos are not new versions. Old photos/projects etc always work and create new versions
    • Aperture preferences are set to create new versions adjustments. Preferences ransacked, database repair and the authorities and 3.4.5 reinstaling have not helped.
    • So, how can I open to create new versions by making updated again...

    Concerning

    Gerard

Preferences ransacked, database repair and the authorities and 3.4.5 reinstaling have not helped.

Just a hunch, you restart the Mac after trashing preferences or sign in at market?

When you install the new version, a dialog window will open and ask you to confirm if you want to convert your old catalog. PLEASE HELP ME!

When I try to directly access the lack of pictures http://www.mmaamateurleaguereporter.info/Cage%20Championships.jpg I get Page not found.

Missing images have not been downloaded or they were transferred to the wrong directory on your server.

PS: %20 in a filename is a space (such as pressing the SPACEBAR on your keyboard). Avoid spaces in file names on the web because of the way that different different servers in front of them. Worst case, your Web page fails in whole or in part. Use hyphens (-) or underscore (_) traits instead of the spaces.
