  • All lights on screen Flash - Message - Please turn off the printer and turn it back on

I'm fighting a problem for a few weeks now with all the lights on the display starts flashing and the message please turn off the printer and turn it back on.   HP sent me a new printer that does the same thing.  The printer is an Officejet Pro 8600.  My computer is Windows 7.  I use a Belkin 750 db wireless router.  I talked to the service the customer several times with no results.  Did a hard reset of the printer, change the SSID of the router, because I think that one of my neighbors has the same router.  The thing most effective I did was change the channel to 6 which will operate for several hours until the display starts to Flash again.  Channels 1 & 11 starts blinking after a few minutes.  I know there are other people who have had the same problem.  I'm about to throw the thing in the trash.  My last printer brand X was set up the same way with no problems.  On the network, there are 2 iPads, smart TV, and an iPhone.  Need help please!

    Super Dave

Ethernet cable and connection with correction of the problem.  Its been 2 days and the printer worked perfectly.  Please pass this solution on your technical telephone support staff because I know that there are others with the same question.  Thanks for your help.

I'm having the same problem as described by others, "error of 8500 HP B87126D0, unit not turn off or print.

I followed all the instructions from documeneted on this thread. I also replaced the power Module, in the hope that would solve my problem. I have an OFFICE JET PRO 8500 A909n PRIME

Not sure why the solution cannot be posted here, as I see many others with this same error and the exact symptoms.

Whatever it is, I really appreciate a solution 'private' as well.  Really, I love this printer and would rather not have buy another.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Spoolsv.exe has 99% of the cpu when I turned off the printer after printing.

    Original title: spoolsv.

I recently installed a new printer Lexmark Pro715.  Everything works fine, no problems with printing, but as soon as I put off the printer after printing, spoolsv.exe takes 99% CPU.  If I leave the printer in mode 'sleep', the problem is, but I do not often print, I prefer to turn off completely.  There is nothing in the print queue, everything else seems normal.  I can use the Task Manager to stop it, but this isn't a good solution in the long term.  I run MS Update and uninstalled and reinstalled the printer, with no effect.  It's driving me crazy.  I have Windows XP Home Edition SP3.

From what I've read on the Internet about the print spooler using 99 to 100%, Norton is also sometimes involved as a contributing factor to a runaway print spooler for some people (where my request).

IIRC, people would set their Norton to start a scan and when it was made, the print spooler has run amok at 100%:

"Because I have Norton Antivirus, do a system scan every Friday night that I happened to see that the value SPOOLSV. EXE is using almost 100% of the CPU of the morning Saturday. It's the only time that it happens, so I simply stop the process in the SERVICES window, and life is good. I don't know why Norton Antivirus it triggers during the scanning process that I couldn't find anything on the Symantec relating to this site. »

If the problem resurfaces surface, using abduction special tools on their website, you can uninstall your Norton and view the appearance of things without him - you can always reinstall again once, right?

I disagree with Norton in general for its CPU and memory hogging and known interference with other XP processes (such as the restoration of the system), so I'd keep which in mind if the problem returns.

A few years ago, I used to like Norton correct, but will never go back or recommend it.  Microsoft Security Essentials with it's lower overhead and footprint and some regular on the analyses at the request of the MBAM and SAS should hold your own system based on your surfing habits.  Your system will reward you with an improvement in the overall performance of the system as well.

I can tell you that no single AV tool seems to know everyting so it is safe to use several respectable scanning tools.  Norton certainly doesn't know everything.

  • LaserJet Enterprise M506: How to turn off the printing of comments

During the summer, we had a number of works sent to our printer from somewhere outside the network which was Nazi propaganda. Work with our IT Department printers on our network have been changed from publicly in the face of a private network. Yesterday, we had a job came across this print a few characters on each sheet, until the ferry was empty. When I go in EWS and look at the log of the tasks, all it shows is printed and the time for the name of the work and the user as guest.  All other users are identified by their workstation name and their username.

Is there a way to disable the guest user account without going through all those who have to use the printer first have to authenticate?

    Edited for spelling

I don't know if this is possible.  What happened is a person on the network loaded a print driver and used your ip address, by mistake, or whether and his work has been sent to your printer with the incorrect coding resulting in all pages. One thing if you can work with your service COMPUTER is loading your printer by using the host name (the host hame can be changed to what you want it to be) rather than ip address. This way your printer can have any just like ip address any computer when it connects to the network and because this will change most of the time to turn the printer off and then back to this topic in most of the cases will prevent what is happening now.

  • My computer freezes when I turn off the printer. HP D7360, Windows Desktop.Photosmart 7

When I turn my printer off the computer crashes.  HP desktop computer.  Windows 7.  Photosmart D7360.

    I reinstalled the drivers.

Have you tried a different usb cable? It could be that the usb cable is grounded on which could be a short circuit in the usb cable, or the printer port. Although it is also possible that this is the USB controller on the motherboard of your computer to try another cable is fixed not try with another computer if possible. If the other computer does not have any problems, then it's HP desktop computer. When you do that, you are out of my field of expertise friend . (In other words, if this does not work, try your luck on the forums of office or by calling the 1-800-474-6836)

    I hope this helps!

  • Turn off Photos launch when connecting iPhone

Pictures launches whenever iphone is connected to my iMac.

How to disable that? I have connect/disconnect several times a day.  Embarrassing.  If I want to use pictures, the icon is in my taskbar.

I couldn't find the answer online, where my question here.

    Thank you, Vince

With the connected phone, select the Import in Photos.  You should see your phone on the top left.

Uncheck 'Open pictures for this device'.

  • Can I please turn off Photos?

Until very recently, I used a PC for my photos, but when I got lucky that I bought an opportunity 27 "iMac, as many people see this platform as the bee knees when it comes to media. (It runs El Capitan).

I used Lightroom since it was called Pixmantec Rawshooter, pre version 1 and love it - lately I added to it remains creative Cloud applications. I have over 50 K images in different catalogs in LR - and I draw quite frequently, using the SD card on the iMac drive to read the cards.

Which brings me to my question. Having to close the Photos is annoying, but something I could live with if it wasn't for his tendency to eject the card and the flag, the map also read makes it inaccessible, even if I remove and reinsert. I googled some tips, like remove the check mark in the upper left corner, that work until I have format maps (what I'm doing after each shot). At this point, I have to get out of my old laptop Windows and a USB hard drive, copy the images of cards on this and fix the hard drive of my iMac to import photos into Lightroom.

Many people have a lot of arguments for the use of Photos and iCloud to store and synchronize between all devices and so on — and they are more than welcome to do so, , BUT I would like TO HAVE THE CHOICE! (I'm sorry for the cry, but I just spent the better part of an hour to perform the procedure above).

Is it possible to uninstall or disable the Photos app that runs constantly? Windows 8 and later has implemented an application of pictures that is almost as annoying, but it can be bypassed by choosing another default app for the pictures look a/edititng. I guess I could go back to Windows, but there are other aspects of the Mac, I like.

    Thanks in advance

    Kjetil

Which brings me to my question. Having to close the Photos is annoying, but something I could live with if it wasn't for his tendency to eject the card and the flag, the map also read makes it inaccessible, even if I remove and reinsert.

To avoid this, don't quit Photos opening - simply click on the yellow "minimize" button in the traffic light in the toolbar to close the window.  The window will be minimized and out of the way, but not to eject the card.

There is no real help at present.

Right now you can only try to disable the autolaunch of any application altogether. But it does not always work and any update could break.

This Terminal command to disable auto-start for any photo application, not just Photos. If Lightroom will not launch either.

    • Photos of quit smoking and unplug any camera.
    • Open a Terminal and paste this command and press return:

defaults write currentHost - com.apple.ImageCapture disableHotPlug - bool YES

    • Restart the Mac. It is not necessary, but it worked for me after the reboot.

I found this fix in a post of JadedEye ( leonie)
