  • Is it possible to create a text on a curve path in Photoshop 6.0 (Windows)?

    Hello

I'm new to Photoshop and Yes... I use a very old version of Photoshop (i.e. Photoshop 6.0).

    I wanted to know:

If it is possible to create a text on a curve path in Photoshop 6.0 (Windows)? If so, how?

Note that I don't want to create wraped text (using the Arc etc..).

Specifically, I want to type text along the bottom of a circular image.

I checked the various blogs that explain how do to the newer versions (or MAC version) Photoshop.

I use the version of Windows.

Thank you... I appreciate all the help!

Looks like you're out of luck.  Text on a path arrived with CS (Photoshop 8)

    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Adobe_Photoshop_version_history

I doubt anyone here will be able to test it with such an old version, but the things that come to mind create each letter on its own layer of text and using the transformation that is free to rotate and position.  Something else will produce bad bad results - unless someone else has a better idea.

Have you tried to reset the preferences?  Uninstall and reinstall will not affect this file.

Launch PS and immediately hold down the keys Ctrl Alt Shift.  If quick enough, you will get a window to reset.  Say Yes.  If you see the splash screen, you are too late.

  • InDesign text editable Photoshop text

Is it possible to make a script that copies the text editable text of Photoshop InDesign?

    Why?

I have wired Internet sites in InDesign.

With a script (Rob day, can be found in this forum) I export the design from a psd layered and slice.

Of course all the text becomes pixelated.

Now, we try to improve our work with Sitegrinder (http://www.medialab.com/), which produces the beautiful text from a text layer psd to css style.

    How?

Well, I'm not script, but I guess something like this:

1 textframe give a filling so a visible frame can be exported to a temp photoshop layer, make a new layer of text photoshop with these dimensions and the position of the layer of temp and remove the layer of temp.

    2. copy the text in indesign, don't forget no fonts, size, text color, alignment...)

    3. paste it into photoshop text block and apply the memory of fonts, size, color of the text...

I am aware that it will not give a 100% style perfectly copy text, but it's not my goal.

BTW I am not actually do the script, I just want to know if this would be possible?

(If Yes, we'll pay someone to make the script when we need)

    Thank you!

I think that it is possible to make such a script - via BridgeTalk , you can trigger a script Photoshop since InDesign passing parameters to it. However, InDesign provides much more control on the text that it is impossible to recreate in Photoshop - alignment for example vertical in a block of text.

This is part of all things "Let's turn Mac OS in an iPad ' Apple tried to do from Lion, 10.7.x. In other words, applications start where you finally left on each start or restart. Many users hated. Apple then placed functions in Mountain Lion and before killing this behavior.

The OS will definitely remember this choice.

  • I want to sort a file of text editing

Use: Mac OS X El Captan (10.11.4)

Office of the Registrar the County gave me the voter information on some 200 000 voters in our County.  The information is on two discs. One is in the form of text editing; the other is in CSV format.  Unfortunately, when I open the CSV disc, which is sortable on any field, it includes only info registration for 65 538 voters, is less than 1/3 of the voters.

When I reconnected the CSV disc to the person who gave the information and explained that the CSV disk only displays information for 65 538 voters, she put the drive in his PC, to confirm that she had copied a completeness of the CSV file on the disk. 200 000 voters appeared on his PC!

I have concluded that the CSV file doesn't have to be compatible with the Apple software.  The instructions of the Office of the Registrar explain how to convert the file changing text in the CSV file, using the Windows software.  Unfortunately, I have no Windows software installed on my iMac.  The Office of the Registrar also stated that it had taken 10 hours to create the CSV file.

Is it possible for me to convert the file changing text in a Numbers spreadsheet sortable?

FWIW, I normally do not work with spreadsheets, but test a few large .csv files, numbers seem to have a limit of 64 k lines so convert the file of text editing will not help. On the other hand, LibreOffice seems to have more than 1 million more lines, so you should be able to sort your files in OL.

Someone else may have more information.

    Hello @petermfwlet,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you want to scan files editable text your Photosmart HP 6520 e-all-in-one printer to your Windows 7 computer. Because it is a Photosmart printer text editable reading iris (OCR) software does not come with this printer model. In order to have the editable text supported HP options offers you will need to use a model of the Officejet printer. By saying this, you may be able to use third-party software of the seller to scan documents for editable text. You can also analyze your HP Photosmart camera PDF files and use a third-party vendor software to convert the PDF file to a Word document.

Please click here for instructions on how to scan a PDF document via the HP scanning software. Once the PDF file is saved on your computer, you will use the third-party software to convert the file.

I can not recommend a third party software to convert or analysis files to editable text. However, I did a search on the internet and found a list of programs that can suite your needs:

When you check the paths in the boot.ini file, and the recovery console is installed, you will always get an error message indicating that the startup path is not valid.

If the recovery console is actually corrupted just to uninstall, you can reinstall or burn a cd with the recovery console.

go here for instructions on deleting the recovery console.

Here's how to make a bootable xp recovery console cd

    Courtesy of JoseIbarra

You need start by booting in XP using a CD Recovery Console, you can do (no XP media required) and run a chkdsk with error correction command enough times until it is clean and if it does not, you can create a new boot.ini file (this is usually one of two things).

    Here's how:

Use the XP Recovery Console to check the file system on your HARD drive and fix the problems and then try to start your system - this may be all you need to do.  Or, you are welcome to just start trying things that might work.

Boot into the Recovery Console Windows using an XP bootable installation CD.

If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and do not forget what you have (no XP media required).

This is not the same as recovery disks that might have come with the acquisition of the system store.

You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    RC. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.thecomputerparamedic.com/?p=8    (courtesy of Daavee)

Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD:

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

When you install ImgBurn, DO NOT install the Ask toolbar.

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/recovery_console_cmds.mspx?mfr=true

A good idea before you start things must first verify the integrity of your file system by using the chkdsk command.

In the command prompt window, run the chkdsk command on the drive where Windows is installed to try to fix any problems on the afflicted player.

Running chkdsk is fine, even if he finds no problem.  It won't hurt anything to run it.

Assuming your boot drive is C, run the following command:

    CHKDSK C: /r

Let chkdsk finish to correct the problems, he could find.

It may take a long time for chkdsk complete or they seem to be "stuck".  Be patient. If the HARD drive led blinks always, chkdsk is something.  Keep an eye on the amount of the percentage to be sure that it is still making progress.  It may even seem to go back sometime.

You must run chkdsk/r again until it finds no error to correct.

Remove the CD, and then type "exit" to exit the RC and restart the computer.

You have not to set the BIOS to boot the disk HARD since the CD won't be.

    ===============

    as for the other problems:

    did you use Registry cleaners?

    These can damage your system

You seem to be free of infection, it would seem that a part of your process cleaning has removed a necessary file.

    ===============

Checkdisk with parameter/r should be run. and run it again until there is no error.

This is in short, that I just got this error working on a disk recovery & Dell laptop.

This is probably due to read/write to the CD/DVD drive.  It's very annoying and simply a file library, catalogue missed reading it will mess this!

Hello everyone. I have this sony vaio PCV-RS310 which has been ravaged by some kind of malware... well I know this is an old machine all standards but I like it a lot and it had Windows XP Home Edition installed (my favorite OS) and I tried to revive, but recently he lost power while I was trying to do a repair of a few boot floppies that I did from the microsoft Web site. When that power is is relit, I had more access to the usual screen that I had at the start. I do not see when I turn it on is the logo of sony for a few seconds, followed by:

Every thing in there seems to work except for one of the RAM sticks, which I ordered it and the hard drive only shows half of the space. When I turn it on, I get a short beep... that tellls me the system is ok... I think so.
