  Serial numbers contain only numbers.  You can have a redemption code that is used to obtain a serial number (or you are using the wrong serial number).

  I bought Photoshop CC earlier this evening. However, when you launch the software, I get up a window that says: "sign in required. Please sign in with your Adobe ID ".

  I press the Sign in button. This brings me to the next window, where I get the choice between "license this software" or "Start trial". The title of the window is Adobe Photoshop Trial CC.

  I don't have a serial number, and I don't see why I should have a trial version of Photoshop CC. I also downloaded Bridge and Lightroom 5 (a part of the agreement), they both run without problems.

  Long version:

  There are various reasons why the serial number can be lost/invalidated. Usually (more common) it is because during the installation, a fingerprint of the system has been filed and the software has detected that the system is no longer one that you've installed the software on. This can be a very simple (as the name of the computer) to the complex (os type, NIC MAC address, CPU ID, a serial... OS) validation. At some point, the software determines: enough is enough, I don't trust it more.

  This problem existed before ThinApp or any other virtualization were introduced. Until a few years ago, it was common to "phantom", a role the same image on all systems in a company and system. Microsoft Office XP has been the finest example of an application of all uses and who did not like this mode of distribution. System admins had re - activate all systems in him the original CD.

  I bought Lightroom 6 (for $149.00 at Staples).  I followed the instructions to redeem my serial number.  After you enter the redemption code, I got the message of a serial number was unnecessary and I could download.  I clicked on download.  Downloaded creative cloud.  (after hours).  I don't want the creative Cloud version, I want to stand alone.  How can I get rid of the CC and get what I paid for?

  I ordered creative cloud, download adobe and manager creative cloud etc... When I install photoshop cc. When the blue button says sign in... Get a serial number? I get it now? I can't connected with my user name and password.  I have to talk to various people in tech support. They can help or they tell me the same thing over and over again. I test the download on a PC and it works, but not on my mac. Its been a week and client server my 1st order cancellation and never received a confirmation email with no link. I had to remind them and correct it. I had to fix my refund. They told me to wait 24 hours and still no email and it does not work... always get the serial number instead of my user name and password.

  Is anyone having problems like this?

  Now on this page, Adobe has done something smart and stupid. If you view the page with XP (for example), it does not show the Premier Pro because Premiere Pro only works on a 64 bit OS. If you view the same page in Windows 7, it shows Premiere Pro. I think it would be better if Adobe showed the (possibly dimmed) application with a note that it cannot be installed on the PC that views the page. Well, I took the cat on my laptop (XP) and I assumed that the person was also on XP so the evidence was made!

  I got help with this problem.

  You just disconnect from the creative cloud. Go to your preferences, log out. Open the first Pro CC, help to disconnect.

  Then again open first pro cc and sign back in, and you should now be able to open even more!

  If you are certain that you have the correct number of series, there are really not much that we can help you here. You can try to download and install the latest version of Lightroom 2. This will be the trial version, but when the trial screen there is an option to indicate that you have a serial number. Either way, Lightroom serial numbers start with the four first digits being 1160.
