Photoshop CS5 welcome screen

Hi all

Since the installation of CS5 Web Premium, the Welcome screen does not display and I cannot find how to get it back.

I have the Welcome screen appears at startup and normally (all other CS5 programs) to get it back you go to the 'Help' menu, then select "Home screen", but this isn't the case in Photoshop CS5 (at least not with my software).

This was taken away from Photoshop, or has the process so he can show once again changed?

Photoshop cs5 lacks a welcome screen.

  • Problems with Photoshop CS5 - the screen turns black

In the last days I had serious problems with my Photoshop CS5. It works on a MacBook Pro, Mac OS X 10.6.8

While a simple example using the stamp tool or by increasing the size of the canvas of my screen suddenly goes black and I have to restart my laptop. This had been past about 7 times consecutively a few days that the screen would go black after a few minutes of working on the photo. This has never happened before, so I am quiet worried...

Interestingly, when I'm working on InDesign CS5 and Illustrator CS5 no such thing happens, it is only on Photoshop.

    What should I do? Help!

    Hello

    Greetings!

Go to preferences and uncheck the enable OpenGL GPU settings running.

    Restart photoshop and try again.

In addition, it seems to be a broken video driver or the number of the monitor.

When you start your cs6 ps installation, you will be asked the ps cs6 serial number.  After entering the who (and for failing to find a product calling installed), the installation program invites you to select a product calling.

If it is ps 5, select it from the drop-down list and asked the ps cs5 serial number.

Enter the correct number at the right time and proceed with the installation.

  • Download Photoshop stuck at 97%, then the Photoshop welcome screen does not load

    Hello

I tried to download and install Photoshop twice now, both times, the download is stuck at 97% for hours without even talking about what is the problem.

I noticed that Photoshop has been installed when even then I launched it. During the launch, the home screen takes forever to load only the top tabs. Once these top tabs loaded, the main screen is always empty for several minutes. I dropped so I closed the Welcome screen. This causes the main Photoshop window to remain numb for a good 4-5 seconds before being receptive again.

Is there anyway to fix this? I have disable my firewall, because I was constantly being asked for permission for application after application from Adobe for you connect to the internet and I have already tested the internet connection to be stable and fast.

  • How to report a bug? (Impossible to close the Welcome screen in Photoshop)

Adobe is marketing home and tell me how wonderful their products are very good, but when I have a problem and I'm trying to interact with Adobe to solve it (something I try to avoid), the assumption always seems to be ' oh it must be user error - you just need a little education "and not" hey this isn't how it should be - we'll fix it. "

I'm on the latest version of CC, running on a macbook pro running OSX 10.10.4

I'm in bridge and select a sequence of photos, tools/photoshop/load files into photoshop layers. After you load the layers, I find myself with the home screen loaded on top, like a modal window with no way to close it. The top of the home screen seems to be 'under' the OSX menu bar, so I don't have visibility where access to any button "close".

I tried to scroll to the bottom of the Welcome screen and selecting the "do not load at startup", but then I can't save this option because the only way I have to get out of photoshop is force it close because the Welcome screen doesn't let me do anything.

    Perhaps relevant:

I'm running on an external monitor, above my mac pro screen. The two screens are active and act in the way that they appear in the Visual extension of the other (for example I 'up' from my mac pro screen to get my big screen). I noticed that lately (maybe beyond 6 months) cc apps became not good to recognize where they are run and open dialogs on the wrong screen.

  • Welcome screen also blank and photoshop does not.

When I load Photoshop CC 2014.2 the Welcome screen appears empty. My Photoshop
says not responding do not. If I'm running photoshop as a different user, then the
Home screen works as expected, you can turn it off and then accordingly.

I was wondering if there is a way to disable the Welcome screen in the registry?
Any help will be much appreciated.

a brief update, I opened PS with my method in post 3, I then decided to leave the PS frozen by the empty welcome window 10 minuets. After this time, I went back in the PS and noticed that the content of the Welcome window appeared with the button "never show the Welcome screen" selectable, I disabled now the Welcome screen and you can open PS as usual.

Thank you, Ned.   I got it to where the program opens behind the Welcome screen.  I would like to get rid of have that arise every time.  This isn't in CS5 - but at least I get the program!

I have no familiarity with the program to be able to tell what to do.  If it's like other Adobe software, there should be a setting in preferences (assuming that there is an option) that allows you to dictate how the programs opens.

In the software that I use the most, for example, if you select Edit-> preferences, the Panel that opens has what see you below where you can choose what the program has when it is launched...

  • New Welcome screen at the start of the last DC 2014 of Photoshop problem

I can understand the use of the new Welcome screen in the last update, but it takes 12 seconds to load each time.

I do not have to wait long to do this, so, how might I turn it off?

First, you must be a member of creative cloud paid to turn it off.

Wait for it to load.  After it is loaded, click the news or implementation tab if you're not already there.  Scroll down so that you see the footer.  (Note that the Mac can make it not obvious that you can scroll to the bottom).  You should see a checkbox titled 'don't show welcome screen Again.  Check it, and then close the dialog box.

Note You can bring it back once again my by selecting the element 'Welcome. '... "in the Help menu.

  • Photoshop Elements 9 opens to the Welcome screen.

Elements 9 opens to the Welcome screen. Organizer and Edit will not be not open. I can't disable the programe so I can re - install. I tried pressing Ctrl + Alt + Shift but nothing happens.

    Hi Brian

I pressed Ctrl + Alt + Shift while 'pole' Barber was turning and sometimes more.

Using the direct link on the editor did not work. Just the same welcome screen and no message.

Tried your method above with the organizer and got the Catalog Manager, selected current catalog can fix.

When finished I rebooted my system and started 9 items in the usual way and hey presto! Everything works normally.

Thank you very much for your advice.

    Very much appreciated.

    Kind regards

  • Photoshop cs5 vs elements vs creative cloud

I am trying to understand Photoshop witch I will need to do the things I want to do, like add icons and graphics to a photo or add a background to a photo a bit like green screen. I am interested in buying the creative play of cloud, but a member of the family said that I need Photoshop CS5, but I need to know that Photoshop is included in the creative cloud or if I can do these things to one on creative cloud apps. I don't want to spend that kind of money on a product that I don't need.

CS5 is more commercialized, but you can buy CS6 if you are sure that 4 years of program that is no longer being updated will work for you

  • Adobe Photoshop CS5

My setup: my name is Floyd

CS5 Extended, W8, 64-bit, 8 GB of memory, Dell XPS 8500 computer with processor Intel 3770.  24 inch Dell 2410 monitor. I bought this desktop & monitor specifically to running Adobe CS5 Extended and other photography related programs. I installed the same program I have installed beforehand on a W7 desktop a year ago.  None of these problems I am describing below existed on W7 or CS3 CS4. Also, these problems still took place outside Photoshop (which I opened through Adobe Bridge).  The only other programs I have installed on this computer are so of calibration for the monitor/printer of Datacolor and Imatch image management so.

    Photoshop (PS):

1 BLACK SCREEN: This problem happened about 10 times the only half an hour, I have used the program for editing.  The background behind the layer on which I work becomes sometimes black, my window border.  Sometimes the whole screen goes black with the exception of the presence of the mouse pointer.  Sometimes move the mouse returns the windows PS, sometimes it isn't.  Sometimes I don't and they return in less than 60 seconds, but once that lasted several minutes, and I stop the program via the Windows Task Manager.  Hesitate to start by clicking the mouse when I don't see anything.

2 SELECTIONS: Selections are described by a dotted line "mobile".  That's what I experienced in previous versions of PS.  However in W8 border disappears every 4 seconds, still missing about a second and then comes back. Boring. Distressing.

When I got the computer I installed all the updates that are available from Ms.  Then I installed CS5 Extended Suite.  I ran the updates again, but he said that I was aware.  When I found these two problems, I ran the updates in both bridge and Psalm in both cases, he went to MS, not Adobe and once again told that I was aware.  During the decision-making process for the purchase of this configuration, I found many references to the MS and Adobe CS5 with W8 compatibility.  Sometimes only made "Some problems."

I would appreciate your help.  Thank you, Floyd

  • Reinstall Photoshop CS5

I am ready for the end of my laptop (receive messages to blue screen). I bought Photoshop CS5 in 2011. I do before the death about the seats or the serial numbers of my laptop?  Or is it simply reinstall/download when I get a new computer?

    Thank you!

While the machine runs always, don't forget to disable the software on it before she died.  Otherwise, you will need to contact support by chat and ask that they turn off for you.   To disable, you can just open one of the applications and choose Help-> Deactivate.

Insofar as he put on a new machine... you might have trouble getting CS5 on Windows 10 machine so look around forums to help in this regard.
