Photoshop CS6 save PDF creates bad PDF files

I'm on a MacPro using the latest version of Lion, 10.8.3.

I am trying to convert my .psd files (CS6 13.0.4 x 64) into a PDF file with embedded fonts, but if I do a save as and select Photoshop PDF, and then select high quality printing, PDF files display text that appears partly corrupted, any application I discover in.

Examples, firstly the original PSD file:

Original.jpg

And here's what it looks like as a Photoshop PDF exported:

Corrupted.jpg

The text that seems normal (starting with Holmes) can be selected, but the rest is not normal at all.

Any ideas?

  • Open or save PDF files crashes Photoshop CS4

Whenever I try to open a PDF file or save a file (for example a flattened PSD or a JPG) as a PDF from Photoshop, it will crash and give me an error report.  My Macbook Pro is only 2 months old, so I thought that maybe CS4 was simply too old for her, but all the other aspects of the program works perfectly and only manipulation of PDF files will give me this message and cause the crash.  However, I just installed Adobe Acrobat Reader DC earlier today right before trying to save/open these PDF documents, so I don't know if this has something to do with this issue.

In addition, I tried to convert a JPG file to PDF in Bridge and also, he crashed and gave me an error.

Yosemite OSX 10.10.1 and already updated CS4 11.0.2 using (and had this error before and after this update).

I rarely have problems with Photoshop, so I'm not very familiar with a problem like that.

After various attempts at solving problems, I discovered that the problem was caused by a corrupted font, that I discovered by validating and accordingly to remove the incorrect font files.

I wanted to put it out there, just in case it helps someone else who might have the same problem.

  • Cannot save PDF files that are editable fields

I'm unable to save forms that have editable fields. I get the error "the document could not be saved. The disc you saved or the disk used for temporary files is full. "Free up space on the disk and try again or save to a different disk.

I am running windows xp, and began with Player 10.1.4 having this problem now, I upgraded to 11 and same results. My colleagues can save the same shape and I have over 80 GB of free space on my hard drive, which is where I am saving it to. I tried saving it to other locations on my drive hard but get the same message. However, I can save the pdf files that have no form to complete in them very well.

I could really use some help.

    Thank you

Figured out prtected mode has been set to enabled at startup. Turned off power and no more than problems.

  • Is it possible to save PDF files, so when the user opens the file it opens a pre determined size?

Is it possible to save PDF, so when the user opens the file it opens a pre determined size – say 100%?

I cannot for the life of me figure it out - or is - that it is dependent on parameters end users?

Thanks a lot for your help!

    It depends on.

If you have the drive, then it only recognizes your user preferences.

If you have Acrobat, you can go to file > properties > Page display > view original and set it to anything you want.

  • PS CS6 "save under" creates incorrect types

On photoshop cs6 (Mac Lion) try to save the file in tiff, creates the .pxr, trying to rescue .png creates PCX, raw creates .mpo, eps creates .gif, gif creates .bmp etc.

I noticed that the bizarre behavior in the beta version of PS CS6. Install the version did not help.

It is a known problem that occurs when you hurt something very specific:

You copied your old installation of Photoshop plug-ins, or you set your location of additional Plug-Ins folder to point to the location of Photoshop older.

Photoshop does not work well when you attach in plug-ins provided by Adobe from a previous version.

What you need to do is to install (ideally) your plug-ins specifically in Photoshop CS6, or (lack an installer CS6 taking charge of the machine to plug-in) copy just the 3rd party plug-ins and support files where they were installed before.  Do NOT copy the plug-ins Adobe, because that will lead you to problems that you see now.

  • Photoshop CS6 save for Web doesn't work do not

I use photoshop CS6 (cloud) on Mac (10.7.5) and when I use the save for Web > save, I got the following popup:

    -Adobe save for Web error-

Unable to complete this operation. An unknown operating system error has occurred.

    PhotoshopScreenSnapz001.png

I've been using CS6 for months and it worked fine yesterday before closing did. Today morning to start it did not work more.

I tried uninstalled and reinstalled photoshop, erase my presets, shut down/start, drive repair, repair permissions, without success.

The backup levels of web service always works in CS5.

    Any help will be appreciated,

    Raphaël K.

Hi RaphDuBus and thanks again;  I was able to solve the problem, in my view, completely.  The explanation is long, and I just included it in the thread at http://forums.adobe.com/message/5242626.  Gasoline seems to have been in the actual permissions manually (via Get Info) on the folder (the whole folder) to the user/Library/preferences.  I have no explanation of how they may have changed;  they have been changed in the CS6 download / update processes, perhaps because of a certain inconsistency 10.5, or that they had been changed earlier, and for some reason any did not prevent the save for Web working in CS5.5.  More details are in the thread referenced above.  Thank you!

I would add that the second problem related to the error message that appear on Photoshop (a message about not being able to save the preferences file) to quit smoking was also fixed.  It makes sense, both the Photoshop preferences and levels of preferences Web backup are included in the folder that was apparently the issue.

  • Some colors change from Photoshop CS6 save for web?

I have a picture with great color surface: #fffdfd, when I save for web (jpg) this color is changed to #fefcfd (in JPG format).

I just can't save as jpg with #fffdfd.

(was trying to uncheck convertir convert to sRGB, don't embed color profile - always #fffdfd becomes #fefcfd when save for web)

However, the #fefcfd color when save for web, does not change.

Why some colors and some not? Is this a bug?

    Window7 64 bit, Photoshop CS6

Save for devices & Web will remove some color from the file data.

Browsers are not color management. Most of the formats of file on browsers assume they are sRGB. While Photoshop gives you the possibility of incorporation sRGB color space of a document, it also strips data that are not relevant. It is a common phenomenon.

PNG - 24 on the other hand will give you the exact color matching.

In addition, save for W & D, JPG quality questions a lot - the same color quality 10,20,30,40, 50... 100 wil give you reproductions different colours on the output end JPG.

If you are concerned that much on an offset of +/-1 hexadecimal value of RGB color space, do not save for web & devices. Do a "Save as" instead. Then use an image editing / application like ResizeMe resizing to resize the quality of your document. This, in most cases will retain information colourspace but just drop the resolution and quality of the image, giving you a smaller size.

On a sidenote, you can also read this article on how to better manage the color spaces: http://viget.com/inspire/the-mysterious-save-for-web-color-shift

  • Photoshop CS6 "save under" does not work - Please Help!

    Hello!

I have a question, and I can't seem to find a lot of answers for her

So I have Photoshop CS6, and I know how to use it, I was

used for a while. Everything worked fine on my old laptop,

but I encountered some problems on my new laptop.

So I worked on a painting for hours, everything was well-oiled

Once I'd had enough and will save my. PSD as one. JPEG

For some reason when I click on "save under" nothing appears

The usual pop-up window did not show upward, not even an error window pops - up program

I am really confused and extremely frustrated

I was clicking on the "Save as", but still nothing is happening, I tried to restart, and it did not help.

My "Save" pictures normally, but the "save under" does not work. It is not grayed.

My picture is RGB 8 bits, the size is 900 x 1200 and image resolution is 300

I use Photoshop CS6 on my Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro 1370

Someone please help! I was very frustrated by that.

Try to reset the Photoshop preferences:

Hold down the CTRL - Shift - Alt from the cold Photoshop start.  If you get the keys to the low enough - quickly and you have to be VERY fast - it prompts you to confirm the removal of your established preferences, which will lead to them all being the default value.

  • Photoshop CS6 windows cannot open a .hdr file

    I can't open files .hdr with Photoshop CS6 Version 13 x 64 for windows 7.
I just updated and installed the optional plugins, just in case it would help, but I still get the same error: "Could not complete your request because the file format module cannot parse the file."
I read online somewhere else what this error code means that the files are corrupted with other types of file, but I wasn't sure with these that I never used before .hdr.

Sorry if this is a discussion of repeat, I saw most of the other discussions were errors trying to make one - I just try to open a.

Nope, that just tells us the file extension is .hdr (which we already knew).

Can you post a file that we can take a look at?

I still suspect that they have the wrong file extension.

  • Photoshop CS6 do not play or process files Audio Dolby Digital (AC-3) of my AVCHD video files.

Photoshop CS6 Extened do not play or process files Audio Dolby Digital (AC-3) of my AVCHD video files. The video plays fine just no sound at all. When processing still no sound. Is there audio codecs (AC-3) I can download and install. How do I install them. Do I need to convert audio files to another format & if so how & what format.

    Thank you

You need to run your files through a conversion as Adobe Media Encoder, or even splice on the audio tool to separate WAV files by opening it up in the hearing. Otherwise, you can of course try as brake conversion tools at hand or MPEGStreamclip but AC3 CoDec trade involving granting licenses fees, there may be limits. Under these conditions, the smart solution is to choose another audio format in your device photo in the first place, is the settings to avoid all these steps, if possible. The AAC standard commonly used for STROKE / H.264 recording or audio MP3 would be much less annoying for further processing.

  • Cannot save PDF files: "program error".

I have to save a file in PDF format with the [PDF / X-4: 2008] preset, for offset printing, but I get "Can not save as"nomdefichier.pdf"because of a program error."...
It will save in the preset "high quality print" and other formats, but not this preset.  I thought it may have been a corrupted layer or something because it was created from a template downloaded from printing, but I get the same error message when you try to save the other simple files in PDF format...

    I am running CS5.1 on OSX 10.9.2...

I'm feeling a little stuck, don't know how to do this...

any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you

Well, it seems that I figured out, and I'll share the solution for all those looking for the same thing.  I didn't reset the preferences of re from photoshop in command, Option, shift.  a prompt appears and asks that if you want to remove preferences, say Yes.  It worked!

It is apparent to when Acrobat tries to show online content when recording.

OK, figured out, this is the plugin extensis font management, I update that I have to leave for now, but now the system is back and catchy as usual, thanks to all.
