Photoshop Image Processor resize due to permissions error

Hi all

I'm trying to resize a batch of images in adobe bridge via the Photoshop image processor, and whenever I did, all my images produce this error message:

", I am unable to create a file in this folder. Please check your access rights to this location"followed by the path to the location of the file.  I do this on a computer at school, if while I'm not owner, I did not have permission to write files. All my permissions check out when I go to "Get Info" on the record, in that I'm trying to save the images, and the file is unlocked.

I found a similar position, but the solution was not relevant for OS X Yosemite, so I could not apply it. Here is the link to this one:

"Cannot create a file in this folder."

I hope you can help me,

Anja

If you put all the images in a folder and to select them in the image processor, it should work. You will also need to choose a folder where you want the saved processed images, assuming you want a different from the original ones.

  • I can't get Dr. Browns Image Processor Pro to work with Photoshop CC 2014 bridge

    We use the DR Browns wonderful Pro Processor Image script much, but cannot make it work with PS CC 2014 bridge. When I select files in Bridge CC, then go to tools > Dr. Browns Services 2.3.1 > Image Processor Pro it appears an error message that says ReferenceError: photoshop is undefined.

    The real script works fine if I run it from Photoshop CC 2014 - just not so I load it from bridge CC.

    I uninstalled it and re installed a few times, both manually and through the CC of the extensions Manager.

    I use a 64-bit Windows 7 computer.

    I guess that there are a few changes in the part of the script that loads Photoshop of the bridge, but not course. It worked fine in CC. Simply not CC 2014.

    I open the Dr Browns Services .jsx file but don't see anything obvious. This is the section on the Image Processor Pro part:

    //-----------------------------------------------------------------
      // This routine takes an array of files. If called by Photoshop,
      // it will invoke Dr. Brown's Process 1-2-3 with the files. If called by
      // any other app, it will send a BridgeTalk message to Photoshop
      // to invoke this routine with the same arguments.
      //-----------------------------------------------------------------
    drbrownserv.process123 = function (files) {
    // Bring Photoshop to the foreground.
      BridgeTalk.bringToFront ("photoshop");

      // Create a new BridgeTalk message for Photoshop to invoke
      // Image Processor with the selected files
      var btMessage = new BridgeTalk;
    btMessage.target = "photoshop";
      btMessage.body = "drbrownserv.process123 (" + files.toSource () + ");";
      btMessage.send ();
      } else {
    photoshop.runActionCommand ('611736f0-9c46-11e0-aa82-0800200c9a66', files);
          }
      }
      catch (error) {
      if (error.number != 8007) // Don't report user cancelled errors.
      drbrownserv.alert (error);
      }
      }

    Nevermind - Dr. Browns Services works very well with CC 2014. I just had a lot of trouble with the upgrade... After uninstalling any version of PS and bridge, reboot and reinstall just CC 2014 everything works as it should. I had trouble with the upgrade by 2014 CC on both computers I use - but re-installing fixed everything and was easier to do that I thought it would be.

  • Subfolder JPEG after using "Image Processor"...

    Hello

    I use 'Photoshop-> image processor' for resize my photos and I always get a JPEg in my dirtory of target subfolder, I don "t want to.

    In the "Image Processor", I selected the option 'Save in the same place' and under 'File Type' "Save as JPEG" with "resize to Fit"...

    Why Photoshop/bridge creates a subfolder, even though I specified to store the images processed in the same place (which means to crush it in my eyes)?

    If I can change this option or is it a feature request for CS5?

    Thank you

    KM79

    You can use this custom version that I created to extend, for my workflow, for CS4 Image Processor:

    http://www.Adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?event=extensionDetail&loc=en_US&EXTID=1698 556

    You can set a folder on the same level of origin or below and give it the name you want.

    He hopes to help solve your problem.

  • Bridge Image Processor ' open image first to apply settings "does not

    I'll start by saying that I used the processor to Image CS6 Bridge (via photoshop) a lot in recent years, mainly for editing and processing of images to use in the timelapse video. I need the first image appears in the RAW Editor so I can apply the settings I want for the whole timelapse.

    In CC bridge however, it does not.

    I'm going to: Tools > Photoshop > image processor. Bridge then open photoshop and gives me this window (I understand that you can not make a timelapse with only 5 images):

    Screen Shot 2015-10-03 at 4.01.20 PM.png

    I have the box "open the first image to apply settings" checked and when I click on run it just start convert raw to JPEG images and does not give me the RAW Editor to apply my settings.

    CC Bridge and Photoshop CC are up-to-date.

    Did anyone see anything wrong with what I'm doing?

    Hi alexm,

    I suggest you to create an Action in Photoshop and save your collage that you perform on an image using the Raw utility and you can perform this action under preferences in Image Processor Utility.

    Create the Action see: Record actions | Tutorials Photoshop Adobe CC

    On the other batch is an another way out

    Reference: Photoshop help | Process a batch of files

    Let us know if it helps.

    Kind regards

  • image processor disappeared in bridge CC 2015

    Photoshop Image Processor has disappeared from the CC bridge after the recent updates.  How can I get that back?

    Hello

    I have now resolved the issue.  I uninstalled PS CC 2015 and reinstalled.  Then in the preferences of CC BR, startup scripts should check PS CC 2015.  All the tools now back.

    Updates last week BR PS and LR have been a real mess!

  • When I try to batch photos to resize in Scripts > Image Processor function, an error message that says: "comand"Pen"is not available. What can I do to fix this?

    When I try to batch photos to resize in Scripts > Image Processor function, an error message that says: "comand"Pen"is not available. What can I do to fix this?

    Yes Adobe tile action fails with the error when he didn't is not the active selection. Note that the Cut Out, built-in frame and thumbnail (selection) after their name. These actions require an active selection to the selected mobile dotted lines before using the action.  Action seeks to soften the selection that were provided to you.  There was no selection, so there is nothing to be flag.

    In addition, the step of the pen in the action of the tile is an interactive step on its dialog box is.  An interactive action defeat as the design of the Image Processor script commands.  Isn't interactivity in a batch.

  • Import of high-resolution images of ArcGIS (PC) to Illustrator C4 (Mac)-"Cannot take place due to an error" / "the file size is too big.

    I make a great conference poster that will contain images of ArcGIS. The poster will be 92 "x 42" and Imaging will cover 91 by 22 in the page. The problem is that I need very high resolution for imaging, but illustrator won't import my files. I use ArcGIS 10.3 on Windows 10 and Illustrator C4 with OS X 10.11.1 (El Capitan). I was not able to import any .tiff file into illustrator (is this possible?) and I get "cannot take place due to an error" or "the file is too big" errors when I try to put .jpeg, .png, .ai files exported from the GIS. I think that the problem is due to the differentoperating systems, rental However, can I open and edit (resize etc.) files in preview without any problem, so there is also a problem with Illustrator. The files that I use are more than 150 MB at 300 dpi, but I really prefer to use 600 dpi, Illustrator can't handle these files sizes? I don't want to lose the resolution using .jpeg, .pdf, etc., many types of compression will cause problems with vector layers from ArcGIS.  Please notify!

    Update your AICS4 to something with the ability to access more than 3 GB of memory RAM as CS6 or above. You'll never work with CS4, at least not to the resolution as you seem to think you need. Indeed, you could probably use 150ppi or the bottom of the poster and not obviously nothing to lose. And for the record, I worked for 17 years for the USGS working with ARCGIS and AI.

  • Script alert: "Sorry I couldn't treat the following files" (Error Message by using the Image Processor)

    I am a seasoned Photoshop/Bridge CS5 user who has recently upgraded to CS6.  In bridge I ran my first batch of Image Processor, trying to convert a set of RAW. NEF files. PSD files with a basic editing action that I created apply them.  Photoshop CS6 opens the bridge files and applies the actions, but then I get the error message "alert of Script" "Sorry, I could not deal with the following files" and a list of all the files in the batch, I tried to run the script on.  The files all remain open and are saved on my hard drive in a folder created by the Image Processor script, but will not close unless I close them manually.  I never had this problem in CS5 where would apply the actions that you want to the batch of photos one at a time image processor, then save and close.  Reflections on how I can fix this bug?

    Get your number of history States. I moved mine the default of 20 to 60, and all is well. For the record, this action does not work on 16 and 32 bit.

    Remove resetting of the State history, you will get into trouble if you copy more than one file type. If you go with the change above, I would recommend only with one type of output at a time.

    The script should probably define States of high story then put back to the end. The problem with this, is that machines perhaps isn't able to handle the large amount of stages of history. Which means, hit the stages of history can lead to 'out of memory' or "scratch disk is full" errors.

    Then tried to empty the trash again and got the same error 50 yet.

    I rebooted my macbook. When it restarted it flashed the apple logo, progress bar began to charge up to 15%, then the black and white code popped up for a few seconds, then a box pops up saying "your computer has restarted because of an error, press any key to restart." It is now is an endless restart loop.

  • Russel Brown Image Processor Pro works is not about Photoshop CC 2015.5.0

    Hi all

    I went to install Russell Brown Image Processor Pro 2.3.1 on my Adobe Bridge / Photoshop CC. I have a Mac computer and that you have installed manually (by following the steps described in the provided Pdf) the Image Processor Pro by dropping plug-ins in their designated files.

    Now, once I did, the Image Processor Pro is displayed in the menu drop-down from the bridge, and when I press on it (once), the only thing it does is to start the Photoshop application without further intervention. There is not a pop-up of any kind.

    I have the latest version of Photoshop CC 2015.5.0.

    My question is, does anyone know a workaround for this problem?

    Thank you

    Update: for what it's worth, I managed to find a Dr. Browns Services facility, and who install it on the site of Adobe here: https://creative.adobe.com/addons/my_addons

    It has an option to install it, which is what I did, and that's available on the CC bridge, however with the warning.

    Whenever I get close the bridge and then run it again, a pop up appears to indicate this:

    I click Yes, and then go the preferences at the bridge, as part of Startup Scripts, activate the Services of RD Browns. I close the bridge, start it again, then get this popup:

    I choose ok, Bridge opens, I go to tools and in its menu, there is Image Processor Pro Dr Browns Services and fully operational.

    As long as I never close the bridge, Image Processor Pro is still there, but whenever I close the bridge, I need to follow the same steps above here.

    Hope this can help someone out there.

  • Adobe Photoshop cc image processor

    I want to save my images in a subfolder of the original but cannot find this option in the dialog box "Save." I don't want to save in the original folder as they will be renamed.

    I use the plugin image processor pro script is better than the image processor.

    However if you use the Image Processor provided with Photoshop. The jpeg format, you save is saved in a folder of Jpeg under the PSD in a PSD subfolder. and the Tiff into a subfolder of tiff.

    This seems to be a problem independent of the operating system or version of the product. What happens and when can we expect a patch? The fact that Adobe is unable to save a PDF file to other file formats has been a permanent frustration of my colleagues and myself for some time. I would be very grateful to know a method to fix the error so that we no longer have to rely on third party software to do the job that your product is supposed to do.

    Also, if anyone out there is in the same boat, I encourage you to take the floor. I also encourage other people to try to save the PDF files as images and report if you encounter the same problem.

    Hi Geoffrey,.

    Thank you for pointing out this problem. Let me check a few details about this problem with Acrobat.

    In the meantime, please try this:

    Open a PDF in Acrobat

    Go to file > export to > Image > JPEG

    Save as dialog click on the settings button in the lower part

    In the color management pane

    Click on the drop down to RGB

    Select Off & Ok

    Save the file in JPEG format

    I would like to know if it works.

    Thank you

  • I've set up an image processor in Photoshop and is to ignore some jpg files - can I batch convert convert these files to make them compatible?

    I have a number of jpg files in a folder that I am running a custom action on.

    It works very well for some files, but it completely ignores the others. Even if some of the ignored files are JPG files, I think they could be another type of jpg file, and that's why Adobe is ignorant.

    Is it possible for me to batch convert all these files, be it through Photoshop or another program, in a PS compatible files so that the image processor will treat?

    Thank you!

    The preference file may be corrupted, try to reset as mentioned above.

    Except that the only thing comes to mind is he thinks the file is a duplicate one ignores. But that's just a guess.
