  I downloaded the latest version of Photoshop CC but when I run the application, the program requires a serial number. I don't understand, I've already put my ID, and it worked perfectly for the CS6 version... It was written in the contract that the subscription of the CC has given access to new applications CC and now they ask for a serial number, that I have not yet. What is the problem?   I found a solution to my problem with the described behavior. The problem is the selected language. At least the thread opener french that could be the problem because you are only allowed to use the software in this language you chose when you subscribe to the cloud. I know but in any case, it's ridiculous.

  In my case, I unintentionally installed Photoshop CC in German, even if I wanted to install it in English. Maybe, because I'm based in German and Adobe Intelligent guess my default install language must be German, it has been installed in German.

  What have I done to solve the problem:

  • Uninstall Photoshop CC. (you could do this by going to the folder/Applications/Utilities/Adobe Creative Cloud / Utils / creating cloud Uninstaller.app (MacOS) don't know where to do this in Windows, but you can find it.)
  • Start your creative cloud.
  • Set preferences for your language app to the language that you have your subscription running. (You can do this by pressing the gear wheel, choose Preferences and the applications tab gives you the opportunity to do so.)
  • Reinstall Photoshop CC.
  • Launch Photoshop CC.

  Has worked like a charm for me, hope this helps you.

  And Adobe in case you read this. It's funny that people encounter a problem like this only because they choose the wrong language. Shame on you.

  When looking for my serial number for my photoshop cs6 mac I get an old version of photoshop cs2 windows I left a long time ago and that has been installed with a disc.

  Since then, I've downloaded cs6 I need now to turn off on my old mac and activate on my new mac.

  I launch any adobe application and invites me to the license of the product.  I connect to my account, but still asking for a serial number.  I did all the updates and saved it in and out of the MAO, but none of it worked.  Help, please.  I have the students creative cloud edition.

  I am copying and pasting my response to another thread - let me know if this is useful for you or if you do not use a Mac.

  Cancel / close all Adobe products.

  On Mac, open the Terminal (amenities > Terminal) and type:

  sudo nano/private/etc/hosts

  You must type your password for the administration.

  Then make sure all the lines that look like:

  127.0.0.1 *. Adobe.com

  etc., are deleted.

  As a general rule, your Hosts file should have no extra registration after the commented section - but check before you remove all of the rows.

  I don't know the exact lines for Adobe that you will need to remove - but I think they should be pretty self-explanatory.

  Press CTRL + O and it will ask you to save as file name, press ENTER to save.

  Next, you need to clear your DNS cache.

  Type in the Terminal:

  dscacheutil - flushcache

  Output terminal, reboot AAM and you should be sorted.

  Thank you Jeff, just close that, today, I was about to make the call and decided to check one last time the page 'my orders '.  There was my serial number!  Great!  I don't know why it took so long, maybe Adobe has been flooded with new orders of LR4, waiting for my credit card erase, or what, but at the end and a day late, I got my serial number.
