Photoshop / video card crash at startup upward.

Hello.

I use Photoshop CC. When I start it up, the video card driver crashes with the following message: "display driver stopped responding and recovered. That photoshop crashes and makes it unusable. I use this graphics card: AMD Radeon R7 200 series, with the last driver installed. According to this Photoshop CC and CC 2014 GPU FAQpage, the card is supported.

Tested for Photoshop CC and CC 2014 video cards

Adobe has tested the following video cards before the release of Photoshop CC and CC 2014. This paper presents the video card in the series. The minimum amount of VRAM caught on video for Photoshop CC cards and CC 2014 is 512 MB.

Important: This document is updated as newly released cards have been tested. However, Adobe cannot test the cards timely. If a video card is not listed here, but was released after may 2013, you can assume that the card will work with Photoshop CC and CC 2014.

Adobe tested laptops and desktops of the following cards versions. Don't forget to download the latest driver for your specific model (computer laptop and desktop versions have slightly different names).

  • nVidia GeForce: 400, 500, 600, 700 series
  • nVidia Quadro: 2000, 4000 (Windows and Mac OS), CX, 5000, 6000, K600, K2000, K4000 K5000 (Windows and Mac OS)
  • nVidia GRID K1, K2
  • AMD/ATI Radeon: 5000, 6000, 7000, R7, R9 series, 7950 Mac OS
  • AMD/ATI over-pants: 3800 4800, 5800, 7800, 8800, 9800, 3900, 4900, 5900, 7900, D700, D300, W8100, D500, W9100
  • AMD/ATI FireGL: W5000, W7000, W8000
  • Intel HD Graphics P3000, Intel HD Graphics P4000, Intel(r) HD Graphics P4600/P4700, Intel HD 5000 graphics card

Note: AMD/ATI 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000 series, nVidia GeForce 7000, 8000, 9000, 100, 200, 300 series and Intel HD Graphics (first generation) cards/GPU are not been tested and are not officially supported in Photoshop CC and CC 2014. Some GL features are available for these cards, but it is possible that the new features do not work.

I tried to reinstall the driver. I also turn off the GPU acceleration in photoshop. All to nothing does not.

I use:

8.1 Windows with the latest updates

Latest version of the BIOS for Asus Z97 - PRO MB

AMD Radeon R7 200 with the latest drivers.

Update drivers for chip

I7 - 4770K CPU @3. 50 GHz processor.

Only, I get this error when you open the application Adobe CC. Same error occurs when you open Adobe first CC.

I'm not sure what could be the issue since the card is supported.

Any help is appreciated.

Go to the site of the manufacturer of the video card and update your driver video from there.

Do not go through Microsoft or via Windows update.  They are usually not updated.

Note: you are not Adobe here in these forums users .

  • Premiere Pro crashes at startup upward.

    Hello

My first Pro CS6 crashes at startup upward. I used the program widely in the past without any problems on my current PC and my PC is in good health, so this seems to be a recent phenomenon. I added no plug-ins or anything that would cause the problem and I've tried a fresh install of my CS6 set that has not solved the problem.

Any idea on how to get a log of crash can I submit for support or other ideas on how to solve this problem?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

OK, so I had to manually update my GPU drivers as the system OEM update lenovo has not to do it, and it seems to be resolved now.

    Thanks for you advice.

I'm having a problem with a fresh install of photoshop elements 10.  It turns out that now I have a problem with elements 9 as well.  I tried elements 9 in September and it worked very well. As I mentioned above, items 9 test had been working well.  I did several updates to my system.  I can't be sure of the timeline of 100%, but I think that most were made at the time that I was testing the items 9 and did not affect items 9.

I'm pretty sure that there were a number of updates that have been made after my last clean run of items 9 and before that I installed 10 elements, namely windows 7 sp1 and various updates, but I managed to install the trial version on a laptop computer with the same operating system and the same updates.

I think I solved this problem.  I doubt, it is a very common problem, but I'll post details in case it can help someone else.

I tried a lot of things among those who have been

    1. suggestion of photodrawken above
    2. stop almost all but the basic processes
    3. boot in diagnostic mode

    None helped.

I tended to think it was related video somehow.  As you can see from my original post that I have 2 video 'maps' one is integrated into the motherboard (ATI HD 4200), the other is a map of pci-e AMD/ATI HD 6770 discreet. I use these 2 cards for 4 monitors.  I decided to try several experiments.

    1. rolled back the driver to an older driver (April 2011 - not sure of the version) - in fact, it "seemed" to work (a bit) and was my first clue that I was on the right track.  As I said, it "seemed" to work, however, after a reboot, the problem was back
    2. update the driver through the automated search also basically had the same result - it 'seemed' to work, but the problem was back again after a reboot
    3. deactivation of card HD 6770 in Device Manager also seemed to work. and when I re-enabled it the problem returns.
    4. deactivation of the integrated HD 4200 has seemed to work so However in contrast to the reactivation of the HD 6770, the problem has not re - turn when I reactivated the HD 4200 My view of this was that, if the HD4200 was the last to be initialized, then I was OK.

I was almost going to use this as a workaround, but I remembered that I had messed with some bios setting just before I replace my discreet previous card (series HD 3200) with the HD 6770. In order to convince me that I "needed" a new 3D map, I am tired of my old configuration running in what was supposed to be the optimal configuration for Hybrid CrossFire ATIs configuration, which was to set the bios to initialze onboard first video and I think that disable "surround the view."

When I went back into the bios and set up such as discreet card initialized first and re-activated "surround view" (with it the HD 4200 integrated does not seem to start at all), which seems to fix the problem.

So, as I said it is probably a rare problem, but if someone has multiple video cards and knows crashes at the start of the photoshop elements Editor, you should try making sure that your discreet card starts first, and your integrated card last.  The last piece of the puzzle, it's that I had run like this (pci-e card starts first, surround mode enabled) when I was testing photoshop elements 9.

I hope this will help someone else with the same question.

    Greetings - nPn

  • Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 crashes at startup (Photoshop.exe)

After update today with CC 2015, I get the above message whenever I try to launch Photoshop.  I tried a number of suggestions, but nothing seems to work.  I also called support and they told me they would call me back within 30 minutes.  That's more than an hour there.  I just tried to call back, and no one answered.  The website says they are open until 19: 00 PST, which is still an hour away.  Support sorry and an unresolved issue.  It seems that Adobe is looking for ways to make their customers to leave.

Anyway, does anyone have a solution to this problem of Photoshop?

  • Photoshop cc 2015 crashes at startup

I've updated my Photoshop and LR this morning, LR is fine but PS crashes at startup, saying: "the last time that you opened Photoshop CC, he unexpectedly while the reopening of windows." You want to try to reopen his windows again? "I already searched the forums and tried a few suggestions (deleting the file temp in the AutoRecover file, signature of cloud creative) but now a total loss. Running a MacBook of retina of 2013.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

I did a little investigation on myself, because Adobe is not really coming to the part concerning the fixing of this.

So in C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Creative Cloud Libraries\LIBS is a file called librarylookupfile

This is the file which seems to be responsible for my fall at least (and looking at the dump data, everyone is having the same problem). When you rename this file (or just delete) solves the problem for me.

I don't know what is the meaning of this file, it just seems to contain a reference to the fonts I used. I'm also not sure if it's really damaged or if there is a problem with the latest version of Photoshop when loading a valid version of this file.

Whatever it is, try to rename that and see if it works for you.

    Thank you.

  • Battlefield 3 crashes at startup upward. Atidxx32.dll seems to be the problem.

He spent two days on the phone with technical support EA. They finally say the question is on the end of MS and they get a great number of them lately. I tried all the fixes I found online so far. All the drivers and the software is up-to-date.

    Hello

It is usually an appcrash caused by problems with video card driver.

Make sure you have the latest video card drivers. If you are already on the latest graphics card drivers, uninstall and install a version or a few versions behind the last to make sure this isn't a last number one driver. If you have already experienced with the driver of the card later and earlier versions, please try the driver beta for your card.

  • Video application crashes at startup

Using Surface Pro 3 with the latest updates. The video application crashes at launch.  I have two accounts on the machine, on the other account, video application works very well.  I also noticed the same phenomenon occurs on other machines under my account!

I tried to uninstall and install without help.

I tried all methods of diagnosis published such as: using the app troubleshooting tool, and then synchronize the licenses of app.

In the AppData\Local\Packages\ * ZuneVideo * folder, there is only a single file c:\settings.dat under the folder settings. All other folders are empty.

Can you help me diagnose the problem?

    Thank you

    Hani Hello,

Thanks for posting your question on the forum.

According to the description of the problem, the video application crashes under your account and works very well under a different account on the same machine. You also mentioned that the same issue occur on a different machine under your account.

This means that the problem is with your account only. So, the workaround I suggest you to reset the password for the account and check if this brings any difference.

    Report ID: 1376e820-3a70-11e4-8f81-3417eba365e0

I don't think its related material, the same problem occurs on multiple types of hardware in several suites and will work very well with an administrator.

In our configuration of most of the users on the domain are not admin and students if this isn't really a poisibility to give all users of photoshop admin rights

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Hi all

Just for anyone else who gets the same question that we have, I think I found the solution, in our case at least.

I ran process monitor again to see if I could spot something strange that Photoshop was trying to do and then I found this:

It seems that Photoshop is trying to create a new file to the root of the directory windows called pslog.txt and when he fails to make the program crashes.

So I created a script that creates this file and then gives all users write access, and this has prevented the crash.

Hope this helps someone else who is in the same situation as us, trying to get the program to run in a domain environment.

Your problem is with nvoglv32. DLL which is a nVidia Driver I believe.  Web search for more information. and how to cope.  Be careful of any site offering to sell you a product to "fix".

    Can help you?

Hi, based on a large number of recent reports by other mac os x users, I will just guess, this could be caused by the report of trusteer. If you are a user of this program, please see if there is an update available for her or even keep order/uninstalled for now.
