  You must specify all the details of your video card and driver installed.

  The first step I'd take in troubleshooting would be to go to the video card / chip mfgr. Web site, then the plug-in model of your card and your operating system, download and install (read the installation instructions) the latest video driver. Test.

  I have a subscription to PhotoshopCC/Lightroom and Lightroom opens, but used Photoshop open. He has in the past, but not now.

  I just bought and installed a plug-in and wanted to use it. I had problems with the PS is not opening even before installing this plug-in.

  I tried to open it by the shortcut on the desktop and applications.

  After clicking on it, to open, at best, I learned only at the window of the intro to Photoshop. Then I have to sit and watch the spin reel for the next 8 hours.

  PS My Mac is old... 2009, EL Capitan 10.11.4 version running all the updates are up-to-date.

  by restarting, I mean just to close completely from the computer, and then restart to reset the operating system. This could be due to the incompatibility between Photoshop and El Capitan. Many people have trouble with the upgrade to El Capitan on a lot of recent hardware. Often the only solution was to get off at Yosemite.

  Usually uninstalling Photoshop will leave intact plugins folder and when Photoshop is reinstalled plugins do recognize again. You can also make a copy of your plugins folder before you uninstall and then copy it back after you have reinstalled. Ideally, if a new installation of the plugin would be recommended.

  You have a scanner? Material generally causes problems with Photoshop. If you have a see if there are new drivers available for use with El Capitan.

  I installed Illustrator from Adobe CC a couple of days, it worked fine, today not simply open. No more than the cloud of Creative Adobe Panel. InDesign and Photoshop seem alright, but with Illustrator, I can't even the window during initialization to pop up. I tried to download the executable file again and it seems to download, and then hit "run" just does nothing. So I can't even reinstall. Baffled.

  I use a Mac with OX X 10.9.4 and all of a sudden I could not open Photoshop. I had both CC and CC 2014 and neither would open. He begins to open, I get the splash screen, and then it just hangs. No matter what image I try to open used appear, I see so fine in the thumbnail on my layers palette but nothing on my real work space.   Most likely your video driver.  To test click Edition/Preferences/performance and uncheck CPU graph use.  If this is useful, you can visit advancved and use the base parameter.  Then update your video card driver.

  Two things to try

  (1) hold down the SHIFT key, and with the key launch Photoshop.

  If Photoshop takes over then you have a broken plugin filter

  (2) press ctrl-alt-shift on command-option-shift Windows on a Mac. With the still depressed keys launch Photoshop.

  A dialog box opens allowing you to remove your preferences settings.

• I recently bought a new Canon, downloaded an updated EOS and now Photoshop won't open my RAW images.  I tried several of the suggestions of others who seem to have the same problem but without success.

  Whenever I try to download an update it is said that it is not necessary.  I'm not as tech savvy as I noticed some of you all are but any help would be greatly appreciated.

  In photoshop cs6 go to help > about plug-in, click on the words of Camera Raw and see what version it says.

  If less than 8.8, try one of the linked below camera raw 9.1.1 installers then and I hope that your T6i files will open in photoshop cs6.

• Why don't photoshop won't open the files on network server since upgrading to OS 10.10.5?

  We have four designers connected to a network server. All were able to open Adobe created files on the server with computers using OS 10.9.5. Two of us upgraded to 10.10.5 and now Photoshop and InDesign do not open files from the network server, or save files on the server - Illustrator and Acrobat will be. We can copy files from the server back to our offices. This sounds like a problem of permissions with Photoshop and InDesign, but do not know how to change. We use CC 2015 versions of the software.

  Reinsert the disc3 not show a value, will not show even the icon and "Find" will not locate it.

  I ran uninstall also, but it makes no difference.

  The disks are same origin as the first used.

  Welcome to the community!

  Please click on Go > utilities > install and check Adobe Phtoshop is listed, if so, run the uninstall program.

  Reinstall the product using disks after that, if it is not then just launch the installer from the disc. (I guess that disc 1 will be used according to the instructions written on the discs)
