Photosmart 7520: Scan to email

Hello

I created my adr e-mail on the printer and checked my email adr. the PIN code, which is sent to me HP

But when I start the process by clicking (the printer), "Scan"--> "Scan to Email"--> Select the My Email account--> select the type of scan (video): the printer as it is unable to connect to the Web service?

The printer is connected by WiFi and have good acess and is no problem scanning/printing from a PC or MAC - what to do?

Concerning

Hi latifa.

I understand that you have some problems using scanning to E-mail with the Photosmart 7520. She seems to have the installer without problem, but it indicates that you do not have access to Web Services.

Try the procedure described here: Re: problems scanning Photosmart 6520. You don't have to worry about the title and mentioned printer, the steps will be the same.

Can't wait to hear if this helped.

  • Photosmart 7520: Photosmart 7520 Scan to Email problem

    Hello

I have the same problem as almost all the other posts in this forum. I can perform all functions with my Photosmart HP 7520, print from my Mobile / Tablet / PC, Wi - Fi all the Apps front panel, connect to the printer via IP fixed, applications via ePrintCenter etc... Until recently, I could also do a "Scan to Email" but which has suddenly stopped working to fail "unable to connect to Web Services.  Confirm access to the Internet and try again. "I tried all the previous suggestions including cycling the power on my router then the printer, all with no success. As mentioned the only funtion not working is "Scan to Email". I understand there is a 'special reset process' that is sent by electronic mail private users with this specific problem. Could you please make this available.

    Thanks in advance...

    Hi Shoe59,

I finally got the work of Scan-to-Email service.

I ended up removing the "Web Services" - via the printer-> Web Services-> settings Menu-> remove Web Services. Immediately after I went through the same steps of menu and "enabled web services" again (I think that something has been downloaded to the printer) and a page is printed with an activation code where you need to connect to your account connection HP and basically setup your account to e-mail printer as again from scratch. that is, you get sent to you 4-digit Code, enter this in the menu of the printer to continue setting up your account. I have set up several Scan-to-email accounts and tested them all and they work now just like before. The only witch hunt, I couldn't use the same EMail address of the printer as the connection HP site said that my old Email address was already in use.

I am convinced that there is a change in the backend (cloud side) which requires you to remove & reinstall web services to make it work again. Anyway give it a try if you haven't already and hope this works for you as well.

    See you soon

  • Photosmart 7520: Scan to email - server connection error

Apologies for another post on this subject, I worked my way through the various fixes but none have worked.

Scan to e-mail worked very well - we use it quite regularly. Then, about 3 or 4 weeks, we got our first message "error server connection." I'm not aware of nothing to bud in our home network, where we use the printer.

A moden is connected to an Airport Extreme (82.1.132.1, DNS 194.168.4.100 IP / 194.168.8.100). The printer is connected wireless. We can print and I see that the printer is registered on the network.

    I tried:

    1 Manual IP and DNS: IP 10.0.1.249, DNS 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4

    2. as stated above, but DNS changed to 194.168.4.100 / 194.168.8.100 - the same as AirPort Extreme

    3. automatic IP (10.0.1.7) but manual DNS (both variants above).

After each change, I stop, wait and restart the printer.

    Hello

    My apologies for jumping.

For HP to feature Web Services, firmware ELM1CN1607AR must be installed for the printer.

Download and install the latest firmware below, then check for the difference:

  • Photosmart HP 7520: Scan to email does not work

    Hello

For the last few days I am facing problems of scan to e-mail function. It gives me an error - "failed to connect to Web Services. "Confirm access to the internet and try again. I checked access to internet, is turned off and turned back on, but everything is fine, except that scanning to e-mail still does not work.

I also tried the suggestion of manual entry of the DNS server in the DNS address configuration, but it does not work.

    Kindly help.

    Kind regards

    Alok

    Hello @alok7,

    Welcome to the HP community!

I understand that you have a problem with scanning to E-mail app on e-all-in-one printer, HP Photosmart 7520. I'd love to help you with this.

Here are the steps I suggest to try everything first:

    Network Power Reset:

We'll leave the router and unplug the power cable (NOTE: do not reset the router.), and then do the same with the printer and shut down the computer. After a minute, plug in the router, wait to fully turn on, then plug the printer back in and wait for the wireless light become solid. Once the router and the printer are on, go ahead and re - turn on the computer. This will refresh the network connection.

Restore the default settings of the network and reconnect:

    1. on the front panel of the printer, press your up wireless icon

    2. Select settings.

    3. Select restore default network settings.

    4 turn on your printer.

    5. once it is initialized to save, press the wireless icon again.

    6. Select settings.

    7. Select Wireless Assistant , and then follow the prompts to enter the details of your wireless network.

    8. try to activate the web services again.

Configure a manual DNS for your printer:

You mentioned that you have already tried defining a manual DNS for your printer, DNS that you used. If you have not already tried so, I suggest to use primary like DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as the secondary DNS.

If your web services connected, even if scanning to email does not work, you may need to reset the web services on the device.

NOTE: Reset web services clears the custom email ePrint you have configured on your printer. Please be aware that if you have a personalized email ePrint, after doing this, you will need to configure again and will not be able to use the same address.

    1. press the Web Services button on the front panel.
    2. tap on settings.
    3. pressremove web services"and confirm deletion.
This will bring you to the homepage.
    4. press on the icon Web Services , once again on the printer and go through the installation process.

    5. once the web service has been activated again, try to configure your scan to E-mail

Please reply to let me know if these measures have helped to solve your problem.

    Thanks for posting!

  • Photosmart 5520: Scan to email: server connection error 403 (with app and scan)

I scanned to send several times than I can count, but a few days ago, I get nothing other than the error "connection server 403 error." I checked the forums and someone said to go into apps and download the application. It did not work. I rebooted and tried everything, which he expects. Yet, nothing. Is this error to do with something outside as the real servers HPs - or is this something internal that I can fix it? I went as far as I can without resetting to factory settings (which I am fearful because I recently had the country code has changed on this issue and do not want to return to the country of origin), someone has any suggestions other than what I've sifted through the forums already?

  • HP Photosmart 5524: scan to email problems

I can not scan to e-mail (or access apps) of the printer itself. "Blue light" wifi is on, and I was able to print by sending documents by e-mail to the printer. Thus, the internet is certainly connected.

I've used the scan to email successfully, but since I changed my internet provider I can't any longer.

I'm working on a Mac OS (10.5.8) which is not supported by this printer (annoying that the Mac is not very old!)

    Any help much appreciated.

    Hello-

Is there a way to solve this problem by removing the web services, reactivating it. This would however, you must obtain a new email address.

You can also try to remove the app (scan to e-mail), and then reinstall it.

Let me know if it works.

  • Photosmart 7510 scan to email does not send eMail

I can scan a document to a file, go to my email, attach the scanned document and send it without problem. However, when I use the Document to e-mail functionality, email opens a window to the top on my desk with my properly included email sending and the attached scan as I expect. I insert the name of the recipient and click SEND, but the message is never sent. I'm puzzled.  What should I do?

Thanks for providing this information comet64.

You need to configure a local e-mail client, e.g. Microsoft Outlook, to be able to scan directly through the software.

Set up an application email with Outlook.com.

Here is an example of the settings of SMTP that you will need to configure Gmail.

What are the SMTP in Gmail settings?

I have provided a document to set up email for windows 8.1.

How to perform a scan: Windows 8.

  • Photosmart 7520: scan to printer

I'm used to be able to scan directly from the top of the glass to the printer. Now I can not because I am set for the ADF Document (CAD). How do I copy again directly in the glass to the printer without going through e-mail, computer, memory card or USB key? Can the ADF v be turned on and off?

You are right. Thank you. I do not understand why I kept stuck in ADF when there was nothing in the status bar. But copy seems to work now.

I still have problems with the blinking light on Panel and a message "no computer connected. I found a fix by restarting the computer, but it becomes quite annoying to always have to restart the computer. It happens only once or twice a day, but this should not be the case.

  • Photosmart HP 7520: Scan lost PC connection

My HP Pavilion is connected to my 2.4 Ghz wireless network, as is my printer.  When you try a scan PC for my printer, I see the message "no computer."  This just started a few days ago. If I scan to email, it works fine. The printer, I reset the IP address and the password.  The computer prints to the printer via the wireless network. In addition, a laptop in another room remotely connects and prints well. I ran two times printing and scanning doctor.  Both times he concludes that the connection is good. Yet, no scanning of the printer.  The box in the toolbar at the bottom of the PC continues to say "Scan of the computer is currently unavailable.  From there I try enable and check the autostart box, but no change. I also downloaded the latest version of the software updated 12/15 no change. However, I found that if I use the HP Scan application on my PC now I have added to my office, it works very well (to the PC).  It's a little more "awkward", but it does the job. I'd rather eat the scan from the printer.  It was quicker and easier. Does anyone know why the printer is unable to 'see' the PC while it is connected to the network and all the functions the scanning started work on PC?

Hi @Javaunoand welcome to the Forums of HP, as you know it is a good place to ask for assistance from members of the community! I'd love to help you with your Photosmart 7520. If I understand your description you can scan when you start scanning from the printer software, but when you try to scan from the front of the printer, the analysis did not make for a lack of connectivity.

Be able to scan from the computer leads me to believe that the connectivity is not the root cause of the problem. However, I found something that might help.

This document contains information on the possible causes of an interruption of the connection wireless, tips to avoid the question, tips to maintain a connection and troubleshooting to help you re-establish the connection Wireless on your printer; The printer keeps Wi-Fi connection.

In addition to the solutions proposed in the document and you've probably already tried, please make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet, not a surge protector / power bar. Questions when it is connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power

In this document, you will see:

It is also good if you already haven't, to be sure the printer firmware is up to date. This Firmware update improves and addresses the following issues:

    • Update the firmware of the modem FAX to avoid false failures FAX Test
    • Solves problems in networking that can cause the printer not responding
    • Improves the reliability of the cloud print
    • Improves the reliability of printing using HP ePrint and printable applications
    • Improves the reliability of the printer, automatic updates
    • Improves support for AirPrint™
    • Corrects the minor defects

Update firmware to improve the functionality and performance.

Disabling UPnP can be worth it too if the problem at this point. Follow the steps below to disable UPnP in the EWS printers,

1 type the printers assigned to IP address in the Internet Explorer address bar. (you can get this report you would have printed everything by following the steps described in the document that I posted above)

    2. click on the network at the top tab

    3. Select the option of networking on the left

    4. click the UPnP option on the left

5 Select the option 'Disable UPnP'

    6. click on 'apply '.

And finally, I would like to disable IPv6 on the printer. This setting can sometimes cause problems. Follow the instructions below to disable IPv6

    • On the front panel of the printer, press the wireless icon, this is the second of the four icons on the top.
    • Navigate through the Wireless advanced settings menu and go to the IPv6
    • Disable IPv6

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance. In fact, if this helps you to find a solution, please click on the button "Accept as Solution" down below in this message. I'll look for a response on your part, thank you.

  • HP photosmart 6510: error on hp photosmart 6510 showing-95 when using scan to email

My photosmart hp 6510 displays error - 95 when using scan to email. Help!

    Hello @twinec, greetings!

Thank you for joining the Forums of HP Support! I came across the question you posted, and I want to help you with the best of my knowledge.

You can try a manual DNS address assignment to fix most of the analysis of the questions by e-mail. Try the steps mentioned below and check:

    • Get the IP address of the printer, you can touch the 'Wireless' icon on the Control Panel printer to get the IP address.
    • Type the IP address in your web browser to get the EWS page on your computer printer.
    • Go to the 'Network' tab - click on "wireless (802.11), and then click «network address (IPv4)»»
    • Click on the radio button that says 'Manual of the DNS server' and under manual type favorite 8.8.8.8 and manual replacement enter 8.8.4.4 (it is Google's DNS server address)
    • Save the settings. Restart your modem, router and printer.

Let me know how it goes! Good luck

    See you soon

  • Photosmart HP 7520: scan hp connects to the scanner

I have a new MacBook Pro that came with installed Yosemite.  I think that HP Scan frequently does not connect to my scanner HP Photosmart 7529 using my wifi.  I get an error indicating that the scanner... is currently unavailable.  I called the service of HP and their only solution was to do the following in order: 1. turn off the router, 2 disable the 7520, 3 put the router 4 switch 7520.  Now, it works but it happens regularly and frankly is quite a pain and I'm sure is not how it is supposed to work.

The scanner worked well with my previous MacBook Pro (OSX Lion).  The scanner also works through preferences, but that method has very limited functionality.  How can I get this problem?
