Photosmart C4580 wireless problems after installing Snow Leopard

Hello

I recently installed the new Snow Leopard on my macbook to see I have printer problems.  I tried to uninstall the HP printer and reinstall.  I can print if I connect with my USB, but I can't make it work wireless.  When I try to print wireless, printing opens and tries to print.  Then I get an error message saying that my printer is offline.  How can I make 'online '.  This error message disappears when I plug in the USB cable.

I would really like my printer works as well as it did before Snow Leopard.  Maybe that's not possible, but I would at least the option of wireless printing.  I've been waiting with the help of HP for 20 min. twice and finally abandoned.  Any help anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much.

LSteph

Isteph: The main reason for you trouble is that you send the job thanks to a USB print queue configured. Each queue on a Mac is specific to a single connection method. Printer offline is the Mac error, which means the cable is not connected (of course it wouldn't be).

To fix this: open your menu Apple - system preferences - Print & Fax. Use the 'negative' at the bottom of the column to remove from the queue for this device. Click on the "plus" sign to search a new queue. You want to add a queue of bonjour for wireless connections. If a queue of Hello is not displayed then PrintDocs instructions above may help you to re-associate the printer to the network.

  • HP Photosmart C4580 Wireless problem - Snow Leopard

    Hello

My HP Photosmart C4580 has worked for wireless (albeit a bit slowly) until I made 2 changes:

    (a) I changed my router SSID (network name) and password

    (b) I have upgraded from Leopard to Snow Leopard

At first I tried to use the HP configuration utility to reconfigure the network my printer wireless.  It doesn't not work - he told me that my printer to be connected via USB, while he was already.  I tried different things and ended up reset wireless to the printer (using the printer menu).

Then, in the HP that I read that HP utilities do not work with Snow Leopard help files.  But the instructions for wireless network with my snow leopard printer did not work.  I could install my printer via USB (and downloaded driver), but it does not appear on the list without wire.  I couldn't find a way to configure wireless with USB connection, as I already had when I initially set up my printer with Leopard.

Video instructions to set up wireless for Mac (http://h30434.www3.hp.com/psg/board/message?board.id=Macintosh&thread.id=231) seemed promising, because it would finally give me a chance to give my printer on my network information.  Wireless Network Test report gives the network name (SSID hpsetup) (since I have reset the settings), that I found promising, although only under IP address, he said 'not applicable' (and obviously fails it test under 'Network name found' failed-it).  However, my macbook can't take any hpsetup network and on the network Page Configuration I printed the network status is 'offline', Active connection Type is None, URL is 0.0.0.0.  Apparently my printer cannot connect to this network hpsetup.

I have spent a few days on this and I am completely at a loss to know what to do.  Can someone please advise?  Thank you very much.

OK, we can solve the problem.

First you uninstall the 10.5 HP software before installing 10.6?  If this isn't the case, we might as well do it now.

Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard / click Uninstall HP
    Click on continue
Highlight your device in the left pane
Hold down the Ctrl and Opt, as well as Apple and click on uninstall
There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall all hp software. (At this point, if you continue, all HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled, this is why we do not run this thing all the time)
    Click on continue
    Let the cleaner it is.

Then, remove the printer in System Preferences, Print & Fax.

After that, go to hp.com and download the 10.6 complete package

Having attached to the C4580 usb cable and select Wireless when you can.  Follow the rest by.

I noticed problems where people have "special" characters in their password wireless.  If it fails, and you have no alphabetic characters or digital, you will need to go through the process of hpsetup ad hoc, as detailed in the video you mentioned.

Hello. I recently installed Snow Leopard on my MacBookPro. Since then, my Photosmart C4580 print wireless. I checked the updates of the software and the message computer read that I was up-to-date so I don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

  • Photosmart C4580 wireless problem

This all-in-one is not responding when he slowed down after a few hours without exploitation. The only way to bring back to life is in power it cycle. I tried the reset default, static and same ip address assignment to disable security on my network. Still the same problem. The only solution provided by HP support must it off when it is not in use. I think that's not a real solution for me. I really regret buying HP printer. If anyone can help it would really appreciate.

  • Aspire 5050 wireless problems after installing Windows 8.1

    Hi all

While I know that ACER does not support the Aspire 5050 running windows 8.1, I wondering if anyone of you tech people out there could help me please.

I have 3 GB of RAM installed and decided to run Windows 8.1 system is very smooth and fast, however, I wireless and no matter what I try, I tried endlesly for drivers to get a WiFi connection but nothing is done and would not go back to a previous Windows flavor.

For some reason, my Wifi connection light is permanantly on also. I tried older drivers but cannot solve the problem of no wireless conectivity rendered my laptop useless in its curret for.

If anyoe could help, I would always in your debt.

    Thank you for the research

You can consider a nano USB wireless to work around the problem. They don't cost much and are tiny. Amazon has a cargo of choice that operate with Win8/8.1

  • Format and install Snow Leopard on Mac Mini

    Hello

    • I have a Mac Mini
    • Using boot camp, I have a Win10 partition which is now, the entire hard drive.  Really.
    • I have the installation of Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.3) DVD
    • I directly connect the optical drive and a wired keyboard to the system
    • Start by pressing the [CTRL] key.
    • Download the white screen with the Apple logo in the middle of it.
    • .. then nothing.  He's here.  After 10 minutes, I pull the plug and restart the Windows partition and return to the slaughter of these discussion forums for clues.

    Issues related to the:

    1. How do I FORMAT and INSTALL Snow Leopard on the Mac Mini or m, I was too impatient after the [Ctrl] restart using the OS X DVD?
    2. Is there an external utility that I should get to format the drive?
    3. I can do this in steps - can I install OS X on an external HD and then use it for the crater / rebuild the primary drive?

    Input greatly appreciated!

    Rade

usually it is booting by pressing the C key to start from the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive.

or start by pressing the Option key to get a list of the bootable devices that you can choose from.

See <Startup for Mac - Apple Support combinations>

NOTE: This does not imply that you run your Mac mini Snow Leopard.  I guess that your wording she used to run Snow Leopard, and that your Mac mini still has a DVD/CD player are good signs.

  • Three beeps when trying to install snow leopard

Hey guys, this imac has el capitan, I am trying to reinstall snow leopard but I get 3 beeps. This research, I came across info suggesting either bad ram or I'm going to need at least a 10.6.7 to a flash drive as suggested in this thread here: three beeps when trying to install snow leopard

I have the original disc from apple with 10.6.3. Possible to use this disc or my only option would be to try to get an OS x 10.6.7 on a USB? If so, I just found the 10.6.7 here: *.

I have it on my windows desktop. I guess my next step should be to install on a bootable flash drive. So yes, I have a 16 gb flash drive that I use for windows, do I need to reformat for mac first and then copy the dmg file downloaded to it?

< link published by host >

You're right, three beeps point to a problem with the RAM. The first thing to do is to remove and reinstall ensure that it is firmly in place. If not, then replace the RAM, if you bought it from Crucial or OWC then the RAM has a lifetime warranty.

  • Re-install Snow Leopard to a notice of Imac I3 mid-2010?

    Hello

I have already received some good answers in another thread, but it had a different title, so I thought that I post here and maybe some members will more experience with this:

I just bought a used Imac which is currently being shipped to me.  Here are the specs: mid-2010 21.5 inches screen, model A1311, series: W8114294DAS, Intel Core I3 3.06 ghz processor.

He will come running to El Capitan, but they advised me to wipe the drive and reinstall the original operating system, which is the snow leopard, and then upgrade from there to El Capitan, with my own Apple ID. However, it seems to be difficult with this particular model. If the computer is initially supplied with Snow Leopard 10.6.4. My drive of detail might not work for the re - install.  I was told that Apple would be able to ship me a custom. I've also read about yet another thread that maybe these models came with a slightly different version of Snow Leopard, and this is why the retail CD may not work, even if the computer came with version 10.6.3. and it would be better to get a custom. Is this true?

Then there may be a problem with an update of the firmware that the computer may or may not have and which could cause problems (not allow Snow Leopard install at all, or instead to install Lion). Is it possible to say if he had this update and maybe disable it before attempting to erase and install Snow Leopard?

Does anyone have advice/stories to share before I actually try it? Or what would be the best way to go about this? I thought that I would try my SL CD detail first, and I hope that it will work. Otherwise, I could order the CD on measure and try this one. If I can't erase, at least I didn't damage, but what happens if I erase the disc, but then failed to install Snow Leopard? I was left with a blank computer. Or I would be able to install it once the disc has been erased?

Someone also said using SuperDuper may erase the disc elsewhere or at least to make a back-up? I have not used before. There is no personal information on the computer again, I would try to re - install before anything else, so I just need a way to install El Capitan under my Apple ID, then I'll be able to install updates, or even a new operating system, as it becomes available.

Is there a risk to try to use my SL CD detail if it allows me to erase and install (such as the installation of the 'wrong' version of Snow Leopard)?

Here is the link to the original thread: purchases used Imac tips?

    Thanks for any idea!

You can try this much easier.

1 - Connect to App store with your apple ID.

2 - install download 10.11 - he will say that you have already installed just 10.11 to proceed.

    3. create a usb installation program.

4 - start the installer - erase hard drive and install a clean copy of 10.11

    5. place the iMac with your apple ID.

Create an installer for OS X - Apple support bootable

  • Can I install Snow Leopard on a Mac Mini 2008

    Hello.

I have a Mac Mini 2008 with the info printed on the envelope:

    Mini Mac 2.53/2X2G/320/SDI/AP/BT

    Model no. A1283 2008

I tried to install Snow Leopard using the gray installation disc supplied with my Macbook Pro.

It didn't work, probably because the drive is linked to my MBP (I guess).

So now I think ordering setup of Snow Leopard on the Apple store instead:
    http://www.Apple.com/shop/product/MC573Z/A/Mac-OS-x-106-Snow-Leopard

But I'm not 100% sure if the previous failure, I had was really just because of the gray drive or the Mac Mini 2008 does not support Snow Leopard.

Hope someone can give me the answer, so I'm not an unnecessary purchase.

    Thank you!

This is because the gray disc is specific to your model of MacBook Pro. Any Mac that has an Intel processor, at least 1 GB of RAM and running 10.4 or 10.5 can run 10.6.

External DVD USB drives are cheap. Usually $20 for a good quality player. Just buy one of these at Best Buy or another store and use it to install Snow Leopard. Then you also have a drive for something else that you have on the disk.

  • Boot problems after installing Vista SP2 (KB948465)

I installed SP2 via update.  During the update process there was a power failure.  After that (I don't remember if it's immediately after, or if a few days elapsed) I had problems with the startup.  Initially, seemed the Startup Repair to fix the problem, but not permanently, and the Startup Repair had to be used repeatedly just to start.

After a few times of what is happening, Startup Repair did not turn, and the PC wouldn't start.  After about 5 attempts using the decision-making power, sometimes choose the Startup Repair, sometimes choose to load windows normally, he did start.
I immediately did a system restore to return my PC before SP2 was installed.

After the restoration of versions prior to SP2, Windows Update showed that the SP2 update failed.  It was on 9 November.  As I need my computer, I didn't reinstall SP2 until I had finished this work.

As I thought that the problem is probably caused by the power outage, on 10 September, I reinstalled SP2.  Windows Update show no SP2 as an available update, then I downloaded and installed the standalone update.

Between the 10th and today, 14, Windows Update has installed more than updated.

Today, I was unable to start for the first time since the reinstall SP2 and Startup Repair has allowed me to open a session.
I tried to uninstall SP2 via update.  The first part of it seemed to work, but when it came to reboot, the PC stopped at the end power to the bottom of the procedure.  I used the power switch to turn the PC back on.  After startup, the PC told me that deletion failed.

Then I tried the system restore.  Unfortunately, the first available restore point was post - SP2 installation.  I restored it for the point that is as close as I could.  I tried to uninstall SP2 again through Windows Update.  This time, I receive a generic error message immediately (less than a second) - it does not attempt to go through the configuration - restart the procedure.

I haven't restarted my PC since then.  Most updates have been downloaded automatically, and the PC tells me that a restart is required.  I'm a little worried that I will end up with a completely insensitive PC.

I use an Acer Aspire X 3200 with Vista home premium pre-installed.  I don't have a Vista disc.

Original title: problem after installing Windows Service Pack 3 on Windows XP Home Media edition pc

My pc runs Windows XP Home Media edition.  I installed Windows Service Pack 3 successfully, or so I thought. Whenever I turn on my pc a box opens indicating "files which are required for Windows to run properly have been replaced by unrecognized versions."  To maintain the stability of the system.  Windows must restore the original versions of these files.  Install your Windows XP Professional CD2.  I don't have any Windows XP Professional CD that I use the Home Media Edition. If I press Cancel repeatedly, the window disappears to return with the same information, but ask me to install Windows XP Professional CD3.  How can I stop this happening?

    Hello

Step 1: I suggest you perform the SFC scan on the computer and check.

SFC tool scans system files and replaces incorrect versions of system files by using the correct versions.

To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start and type cmd in the box start the search.
    2. right click on cmd in the list programs and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue
    3. at the command prompt, type the following line and press ENTER:

    sfc/scannow

    Reference: http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/system_file_checker.mspx?mfr=true

Step 2: Also, look for error messages in the event viewer. If you find error messages after return the exact error message so that we can help you better.

  • Problems after installing KB978338 on Windows Vista SP2

I met a problem after installing KB978338. The update installs without error or problem, but the system is extremely inadmissible after the reboot. The "\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\desktop is not accessible" error, and the system is practically unusable. Normally opens the Task Manager and system seems inactive, but you try to start a new application from the Task Manager gave an error "hose is not valid.

System is Vista Home Premium SP2 installed without any obvious problems before the update. Start the system restore and go back to immediately before the update of the results in the system back to normal functionality and responsiveness.

I've never seen or either of these mistakes before and my research has not yet been able to find something similar, so I am at a loss to start this kind of problem with an update of troubleshooting.

Please tell us how can I still troubleshoot or solve this problem.

So I "hid" the update and you call this one closed without resolution.

While the overall rating of gravity for KB978338 is moderate (critical vs), it of still a security update and must be installed.
