Update for Outlook junk e-mail filter keeps

Every day for a month I get notification of the need for an update.  The update is for Outlook junk mail filter.  The update appears to install ok but he will come back a few hours later and wanted to do it again.  It's not really install or Microsoft doesn't realize that it is installed.  In any case, it makes me nuts to install this thing day after day.  Help!

With the help of MS Vista.  For several months, any update for the junk e-mail filter will fail constantly.  The icon "new updates are available" remains in my bar tasks until I manually hide the update.  All other updates install normally on the automatic cycle.  It's just spam those who fail.  Since I do not use Windows Mail, it is what worry?  I use Outlook Mail, and I was wondering if it pulled out of the same set of filter?

Is it possible to fix either where it will download correctly - or-stop Windows Update of that need as new version of each month is available?

  • How to hide all the future updates to the Windows Mail Junk e-mail filter?

Is it possible to automatically hide or ignore all future updates for Windows Mail Junk e-mail filter?

I don't have, and never plan to use Windows Mail, and I'm not sure that I could never be convinced that I should, someday.

Therefore, all the updates of Windows for this are very very little, but the update system keeps their important marking - so I have to hide them every time.

Is there a technique to automatically remove this update until it is important to my system?

I use Windows Vista Home Basic SP2.

No, you can not hide all the future updates Windows Mail Junk Email Filter. But here is a workaround:

1 configure automatic updates for the 'updates but let me choose... '. "setting.

    2. when an update of the Windows Mail Junk e-mail filter is available for your approval, thereafter, hide it.

    Hello

Because you have tried all the steps of troubleshooting and still faces questions, I suggest you do an InPlace upgrade using the Installation of Windows Vista disc.

Note Run a repair installation will not damage files and applications that are currently installed on your computer. However, before you perform an Inplace upgrade, you can take a backup of important data. In case of a worst case scenario, you may have to reinstall all the programs. Make sure that you back up personal data to disks or other external storage devices before performing an upgrade on the spot. To perform an upgrade in-place, follow these steps.
    a. close all running applications.

    b. Insert the Windows Vista DVD into the DVD drive of the computer.

    c. in the settings window, click install now.

Note If Windows does not automatically detect the DVD, follow these steps:

Click on start and type Drive: \setup.exe in the box to start the search.

Note The placeholder drive is the drive letter of the computer's DVD.

    List programs, click Setup.exe.

In the settings window, click install now.

    a. click go online to get the latest updates for installation (recommended).

    b. type the CD key if you are prompted to do so.

    c. in the "Windows Installer" page select the operating system you want to update or Inplace.

    d. click Yes to accept the Microsoft software license agreement.

    e. on the which type of installation you want? of the screen, click upgrade.

    f. when the installation is complete, restart your computer.

For more information, please see the link:

How to perform an upgrade on the spot on Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 & Windows Server 2008 R2

Once the upgrade has completed, you must activate your copy of Windows Vista.
