  When I scan for PC:

  JPG--> I get file names Scan50001, -0002, -0003

  PDF--> I get file names Aug_ssn_GPunto_lug20140001, -0002, -0003

  The Red prefix is the name of the first scan to PDF, I did, which is repeated at any time.

  Is there a way to change this?

  You can change, but it will keep up to your change as a prefix or you will have to appoint one by one afterwards. To change the prefix, please try your computer

  • Click the icon on the desktop printer,
  • Click on scan a Document or Photo.
  • Click on advanced (near bottom right).
  • Click the Destination tab,
  • Change file name,
  • Click Ok

  (The same for each type).

  Over the years, I have had this printer that it scanned to PDF very well.  Now all of a sudden it won't work.  I tried to use only Apple, only the drivers of HP drivers, and having both installed... nothing.  Is this a feature that went with the latest drivers for this printer?  If this is the case, I just need to know if I can put it on the sidewalk for the truck to pick up garbage.  Thank you.

  Have you tried to scan using the preview or Capture of Image?  It should do the same thing as the scan from the front panel.

  I like the 10.6 system because the drivers are included in the operating system.  I don't have to download the drivers with the software, I don't want not just to get the basic functionality.  My system is completely free of HP software and I like it like that.

  It is to replace an old but reliable scanner HP scanjet 2400 which I was using connected to a windows machine. on the scanjet I could scan multiple pages to a PDF, but I don't know how to do this on the 5510.

  Run the installation again,

  Be sure to select check the option software recommended during installation.

  (In the 3rd or 4th form).

  You will find the Hewlett-Packard with the HP Scan3 folder inside it.

  I've never used this analysis of the function of the computer on this older printer.  When I select "Scan to computer" on the printer I get message "no scan option - referring to the device.  Printer is connected to the wireless network.  I have the software for Windows xp disk, but my computer running Windows 7.  Can I use this disc?  If this isn't the case, I can download the software from HP.  Or y at - it another way to scan to my computer.  Thanks in advance for any help.

  I installed the All in One 3110 drivers and software in the new computer with Windows 7 automatically. But when I want to scan a document, it does not show the type of pdf file.

  The workflow default scanning set up to scan documents in black and white. Be sure to change the settings for scanning to scan color documents:

  1 open the HP utility and select your device.
  2. based on Scan Settings open the "Scan to Computer".
  3. click on the tab scan tasks.
  4. Select the affected shortcut and click on change... (or double-click on the shortcut).
  5. in the section of scanning from an HP device, click the blue triangle or button view details to expand the menu.
  6. in the expanded menu now, open the drop-down next to the Mode
  7. now select the color option, and then click OK to save the changes. The next scanned using this workflow is displayed in color.

• HP 7520:7520 scan to .pdf

  I have a HP 7520 and it does give me an option to select .pdf to my document scanner.  The only options for the Type of file in the edit profile are .bmp, .jpg, .png, .tiff.  These are the only options under the documents and pictures.  How to get the PDF added so I can scan to a .pdf file.  I don't know why this is not the standard options and have not been able to find an answer to this question anywhere.

  I think that you would have the ability to scan in PDF format with the software of the printer.

• HP Photosmart c4280 scans only 1/4 of page

  My HP Photosmart c4280 was never able to scan, and now I'm putting in place. I have the driver installed with the HP Solution Center, when I click on "scan document" it goes to the next menu and I select scan to PDF, then to the next screen I can hear the scanner moving and the image appears the first 1/4 of the document and then the scanner stops and the picture never changes until they tell me to restart and stop... etc.

  Please perform the below mentioned steps that should solve the problem.

  Click the Windows icon and then click on computer.
  Double-click Local disk (C .)
  Double-click Program Files.
  Double-click HP.
  Double-click on digital imaging.
  Double-click Bin.
  Find and double-click one of the following files. You only have to choose from.
  Hpiscnapp.exe
  Hpqscnvw.exe
  This will launch the HP scanning application.
  Select new Scan, and then change the settings you want to analysis.
  Click on accept to save the analysis to the desired location.
  Follow these steps if you need to save the analysis as another type of file, such as a. PDF:
  Right click on the recently saved file to open it in another application, such as Microsoft Word.
  Save the new scan under the type of file you want.

• Photosmart C7180 on Windows 7 x 64: big problems

  My Photosmart C7180 faithful went to a near-useless state because I attach to my new desktop running Windows 7 x 64.  I am connected via a wired/usb connection cable. Some of these new antics include:

  • Said solution center it is disconnected when it is not
  • The scanner does not work
  • When I try to print a doc, I receive a partial copy of the doc, plus 5 or 6 sheets of paper with a few random characters, printed at the top.

  I've installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled the latest version of the software as downloaded from the website (v 13.1.0) far too many times.  This does nothing.

  I ran the HP print and scan doctor... the print side says that it works very well (it isn't). the analysis option fails on the driver record, saying that "the scanning driver is unable to communicate with the product.  I followed the instructions to unplug the printer, reconnect, restart the computer several times... even once, it does nothing.

  Anyone out there have any suggestions, other than to transport this thing to the recycling center?

  I would try possibly using another method of connection. Maybe it's the USB cord that is defective. If you have another cord try that, or you can try to set up the printer on your network using a wired Ethernet connection.

  Try this and tell me how it turns out that!
