Photosmart C8180 All-in-one: HP Photosmart C8180 All in One updated required for memory problem
Very slow images scanning and cropping, image rotation distorts or does not complete. Poor IQ, sometimes with thin horizontal stripes. Message says update necessary for the solution Center, little memory but what update? Have tried to unplug the power and usb, turning works but no improvement.
Images are for the publication, so 16-bit, 1200 dpi sometimes, so need memory, but will send you directly on the external drive in order to preserve space on the laptop.

HP Photosmart desktop printers do not have an internal memory that stores digital images, copies or prints. Make sure that all cards in the slot in front of camera has been removed.

All-in-one HP Officejet 4620: printer problem
Printer works fine with the office. When you try to print from laptop, black is faded or nonexistent. The colors are sometimes normal and sometimes faded. Are passed through the HP print and scan doctor including updated drivers and the problem still exists. It started when I replaced the black ink cartridge. HP used cartridge, not off the mark. Printer is set up with WiFi connection with a Belkin N600 router. Both computers are HP. Last screen with print and scan doctor says printer has some serious problems.

You know, even if the printer prints fine on a computer, I can't help but feel that the question has something to do with the printer itself. Let me explain; I wonder if when you print from a computer so the settings are grayscale, so 3 colors would be coming together to create a composite black.
