Photosmart Premium C310: Photosmart Premium C310 impression in Yosemite

OS: mid 2012 Macbook Pro retina, Mac OSX Yosemite, fully 10.10.2,"limited up software date / patches

Printer: Photosmart Premium C310

Connection type: Wireless (IP via DHCP)

The printer started to play up. Symptoms: when I try and print on it from my Macbook Pro, it causes the printer restart. The documents are not particularly complicated. Sometimes I can print a text document a simple word, but most of the time, she causes the printer to break off and restart. He the NAGs tell me the printer stop me properly!

However, if I try to print the same documents from my iPhone 5 w / iOS8, then all documents work fine. I also tried of 10.9.5 iMac and it print flawlessly.

It seems to be specific to Yosemite OSX on the laptop that is causing the problem.

I understand that you experience problems printing from your computer Mac OS X 10.10 to your HP Photosmart Premium e-all-in-one printer C310. I would like to help you to solve this problem today. I also want to thank you for all the details that the you have included in your original post. Based on this information, I agree with you that this problem is caused by the computer Mac OS X 10.10. Can I please you follow the steps below.

Step 1: Resetting the printing system:

To begin, I will have you reset the printing system on your Mac because it is important that we have a pleasure to work with for troubleshooting clean slate. Please click herefor instructions on how to perform the reset. When the site opens, follow the steps under"Reset printing in OS X Lion system." This Reset deletes each printer on your Mac. However, it does not uninstall printers. Therefore, if use you other printers on the Mac, once the reset is complete simply make sure printers are attached via a USB cable or connected network and (+) add hide them po do add not your HP Photosmart back in right now.

Once the reset is complete, proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Uninstall the drivers and software:

Please click here to find out how to properly uninstall your printer. Once the site opens select the drop-down menu 'Mac OS X v10.6, OS X v10.7, OS X v10.8 and OS X v10.9' because they are the same for Mac OS X 10.10 and follow the steps under the second method to complete uninstallation.

Once the uninstall is complete, please continue on.

Step 3: Check and repair your Mac disk permissions:

  1. Open Macintosh HD and go to Applications
  2. Go to the Utilities folder
  3. Open disk utility
  4. Select the hard disk volume, you use (usually on the left)
  5. Select verify disk permissions
  6. Once this process is complete, select repair disk permissions

Step 4: Manually load the driver:

Step 5: Check the Apple updates: 

  1. Go to the Apple
  2. Select System Preferences
  3. Select software update
  4. Click update now
  5. Install your available updates
  6. Computer restart

Step 6: Add the printer:

1. click on the menu of Apple , then Preferences System.

2. click print and scanand check if the name of your printer appears in the printer list.

3. If your printer is already listed, remove and re-add the printer to check the communication with the Mac. Click on the name of your printer, click the minus sign (), and then delete the printer

4. click on the plus sign (), click Add a printer or a Scanner, click the name of your printer

5. click on the area of use or with the help of Print and then select the name of your printer on the shortcut menu. Make sure you have the driver HP Photosmart selected and not the AirPrint.

6. click Add to add the printer to the list.

    I bought a Photosmart C309a printer that I hooked to print wireless to my router dsl 2wire and 2 laptops and 1 desktop.  Installation was easy enough, but when the printer print test photo during installation on one of the laptops 2, he printed the same photo over and over again (I cancelled the print job after 7 draws).  It also does the same thing when I went to print any document (printed the same permanently).  OS is Vista Home Basic, on the problem laptop and Windows XP Home Edition, on the other laptop and Windows XP home edition on the desktop.  All other functions (IE copy) work very well, I then spent over 4 hours on the phone with technical support from HP who took control of my computer, did an uninstall L3 and reinstalled (several times) and still unable to solve the problem.  I returned the printer for a replacement, which has just arrived, and I'm having the same problem.  One strange thing I noticed, is that when I check the impression that she always says that I print pages 3/1 (for a document of a page or a picture).  I also noticed this 'error' when I print from the desktop or the laptop XP, except that when it is done that (correct number) print pages, it says 'delete' under status and the print job completes successfully.  Someone at - it ideas?  I can't face another spend 4 hours with technical support to search my computer just to tell me that they cannot solve the problem!  Is this a Vista problem?

    As reported in another post, I found a solution for this problem that affects the prints of c309a with Windows Vista and Windows 7 (not Windows XP!).

    I've disabled 'bidirectional support' in the properties-> Ports and no more additional copies of my c309a.

    I have the printer wireless HP Photsmart 6510.  Lately, the impressions of it were of very poor quality, there was ink stains and streaks on printed documents, sometimes I need to print some stuff about two or three times to get a version that is good enough to use.  Tasks tend to occur around the same area, to the right of the center of the page, and the veins, which occur less often, going from one side of the page to the other.

    I only ever use ink HP, never a third party ink cartridge, and I do not have the refills.  I did a printer head cleaning process, but it's not better.  I have to admit that I am very disappointed because I am a user of HP printer long life and this is the first time, we gave poor results.  I can't afford to just go out and replace the printer so I have to stay with it, but I need to get these tasks and sorted streaks because is it costs me time and money having to repeat things two or three times to try to get a copy, which is as clear as possible!

    Here a link to a document that deals with poor print quality for the printer model that you mentioned in your message. It will give you trouble shooting to try to correct the poor quality output that you get from the printer. When you repeat the print head cleaning utility, be sure to make all levels of available cleaning. Each level offered cleaning is more energetic in trying to erase the hooves of the nozzles. Did you manually wiped the cartridge and the contacts inside the print head to ensure that accumulate only not part of the problem with the release of the printer? It is also a clean ink smear tool located on the front panel of the printer you want to use. To Access Setup button > tools > clean ink smears. Make sure you have letter paper own size loaded in the machine. This process can take several minutes to complete. I hope this helps.

    I've used this a handful of times and since it had been a while, I got new ink, put it in and it will not be printed. I did a test and all came fine. Tried to print from my laptop and it got in the queue, but the pages were empty. I tried again and again... even. No no color... no black. I had a cleaning to help the Tools option and even put in a new set of ink (now it gets expensive) and the problem persists.

    Thanks for getting back to me with these results. It seems that the printer is not printing black ink. If the black was printing there is a level of black ink, since you have new cartridges in the printer.

    This is the support material designed to be used with this problem - printer prints a blank Page or not printed in black or color ink.

    If you get through this troubleshooting document and it is still not printing in black, that would indicate that there is a problem with the black ink cartridge or the printer, but hopefully just the cartridge.

    At this point, I would contact HP Tech Support by phone. If the printer is out of warranty, it shouldn't matter because you put new cartridges in, and they come with an own warranty. You can find the warranty date on the underside of the cartridge. There is no charge for support when troubleshooting a part that is under warranty, and they can replace the cartridge if it is found to be defective.

    My printer prints crooked. It is very sensitive when you print borders. Borders are not straight. I do a lot of photo printing and use different types of photo paper, but the results are the same. It's never happened before. I just cleaned all rollers and everything is back there. It's always the same. I also noticed that the rolls are not picking up the paper as it should, in particular the photo paper. Yet once, this has never happened before. I bought this printer in November 2009. Can it be fixed, or it's time to replace it?

    I'm sorry to hear your 5520 Photosmart was the impression at random, but I will certainly do my best to help you find what's happening

    Initially, I wonder, is it something that you tried to print before or never thought so that it can be printed?

    Have an AMD processor, I am assuming that you are working with a Windows operating system, then what version of Windows you have?

    If you unplug the printer from the computer before starting the printer, it still trying to print the page?

    If you have not configured the ePrint feature on your device or really added many personal setting, I would recommend restoring the printer to its default settings (to erase from memory) and then let me know if the problem persists. To reset the default settings, select Setup, press tools, and then click Restore Defaults.

  • Photosmart Premium C310: Stopped C310 Photosmart Premium connection

    My HP Photosmart Prem C310 is connected to my wireless very well and has print from my Mac desktop very well until last week. The wireless is fine, that the computer and the printer are on the same netwrok wireless according to the netwrok test report.

    To try to reconnect to the printer, I deleted the system printers and scanners preferences screen. Now, when I try to add the printer, it does not appear in the list under default. I tried also added using the IP address on the wireless network Test report, but get only the message that the computer is "impossible to test the printer on the network" and "cannot connect because of an error."

    I tried to stop the printer and the computer, but nothing works. I am at a loss and extremely frustrated.

    Re-installing the printer should work in this case, but in the future try the HP Scan Diangostic utility first. Recently, the same error came on my C310a and the utility Scan fixed it no problem. You can find the tool below.

    We do not have the software 10.8 HP for your printer posted on hp.com and yet, once that happens, you can just download and install. You don't need to do it though, in order to get your printer running on your new Mac.  Simply connect your printer, on the sur le meme same wireless network or via a USB cable, add in printing and fax and let the operating system find and install the software from the Apple software update.  You will be able to the printer and scanning will however be of Image Capture.
