4-5 years used as stand-alone Copier only - NOT connected to a computer. Was working fine, but 2 months ago got the error message "load paper into the main tray ' although the right type paper and the amount is loaded correctly. I understand your Photosmart Premium C309 gives you an error "on paper" and the printer does not pick up paper.
Looks like you have exhausted all troubleshooting solutions available for this issue. All I can recommend is to contact HP telephone support to see about a replacement or upgrade.
Contact HP:
Step 1. Open the link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Step 2. Enter the product number or select Auto detection
Step 3. Scroll up to "still need help? Fill out the form to select your contact options.
Step 4. Scroll down and click on: contact HP options - click Get phone number

I have a HP Photosmart C6380 all-in-One printer. It worked well for a number of years, but last year, whenever I want to print something, the orange light blinks and an error message is displayed in the window. Your printer is not designed to print on that size of paper. If you want to print on the paper, I think that a DesignJet is better suited for these types of photos.

I see you are having a problem printing to an Excel document.
I suggest you install a default substitution such as the jet pilot desktop 990 c driver.
You can follow this thread of Shane, who will show you how.
After that, you can try printing again from Excel.

Other suggestions for this problem has not worked for me, but the info at this link on how to reset the computer worked! I thought I was headed to the store to buy a new printer, but this fixed.

No black on Photosmart Premium C309g print
Is my regular black ink stopped printing completely.
I changed the cartridge and it will not print or copy of black.
The printer also gives an error message when trying to align the cartridges.
Thought that the cartridge may be faulty but tried a second without change.
Otherwise, the printer responds to commands and prints with color inks but no black (no picture).
Help, please!
If the printer is on a guaranteed thing might be worth the time soak the print head, as described below...
(1) get a pan and put 1/2 "of very hot (not boiling) water in the bottom.
(2) remove all ink cartridges, then remove the print head Assembly.
(3) gently put the printhead nozzles down in water and soak for 5 minutes.
(4) remove the print head and gently dry the electrical contacts.
(5) replace the print head in the printer and then reinstall the ink cartridges.Can you let me know if it works?

Scanner Photosmart Premium C310a for error on Windows 7 64 bit
Hi all
I bought a HP Photosmart Premium C310a this weekend. Everything works fine except the scan. This is what the problem is:
When I try to scan (through the centre of solutions) I get an error message as soon as scanning starts software (hpiscnapp.exe) that says: (translation of the Dutch for some of them may not be accurate) the scan cannot be made because the HP imagingdevice has a network and is used by another program or computer. Try again later.
Description of the error extended; 4, [(0,400,80004005), (2,33,80040013), (3,33,0)]
Nothing (no other program or computer) is using the scanner at the moment. The strange thing is I have Windows 7 64-bit systems and on the system, 32-bit and Windows 7 32-bit system works very well. [EDIT: just encountered the same error on the PORTABLE 32-bit too :-(]
Scanning from the façade C310a and selecting the computer also translate this error.
Wireless connection to the C310a directly via an "ad hoc" connection does not either.
I deleted all HP components (including using the abduction utillity L4) and them reinstalled several times. Through the page Web of the C310a scanning is possible, but with resolutions lower (max 600 dpi). I ran the diagnostic HP, no result (HPPS.exe) program.
Context: C310a is wireless in the same network as the three laptop computers box.
Laptops: 2 x Windows 7 64-bit, 1 x Windows 7 32 bit
No problem: 1 x Windows 7 32 bit [EDIT: just encountered the same error on the PORTABLE 32-bit too :-(]
Problem: 2 x Windows 7 64 bit.
Been strugling with this problem for a few days. Would be very happy if someone knows how to solve this problem.

Hi Travis (and maybe somebody else who will have the same problem in the future).
So I finally got to do the work. Here's what I did. I backed up my data, wiped my laptop completely and reinstalled all software, including 64-bit Windows. Now everything works flawelessly. Don't ask me why, or what caused the problem because I know and still can not understand.
At least everythings works as it should and I hope it will stay like that.

HP C410a Photosmart Premium: bad printing quality on the picture
Printer HP Photosmart Premium C410a, just replaced all THE cartridges (genuine HP) - he always tells me cyan and magenta are weak, but the test page printed fine and I cleaned the print heads. When I print a picture (of the program Apple Photos) the ink begins to blurr and run. It is a new problem, all worked well.

Photosmart Premium C309g - print in color, not black
I have a Photosmart Premium C309g which, until a day or two before, worked very well. Black ink does not work.
I tried already. .
- Change both black cartridges (regular and photo)
- Cleaning
- Alignment (when I try to align printer says "Alignment failed."
Print fine - but not black color.
Problem happens both when printing from a computer, as well as select black copy then copy - gives only a blank page.
Printer on a network and is used for both Mac and Windows 7.
You can give me any help would be appreciated.
