Picture lock to prevent deletion

I just made the request of "locking picture" following in order to avoid the accidental deletion and I was wondering if anyone else thinks that it should be implemented?

Improvement / FMR. *
Short title for your desired feature:
A locking system and photo anti-suppression.

How would you like the feature works?
I would add a locking feature that prevents the photo are removed (until the lock is removed). This could be; ((1) an option to "Lock all" then the import-2) added to each photo in a command in the PHOTO menu in the toolbar, orders would be "Locking picture (s)" & "unlock picture (s). I wish that when you select a picture locked for deletion, a pop-up that says "this file is LOCKED and can be removed only after the lock is removed".

Why is this feature important for you?
I regularly removes poor-quality images. Would prevent accidental deletion of a bad image which may be of some importance to me. I also have photos accidentally deleted when I didn't know that they were part of the entire selection. This locking system would keep my favorite photos safe from unintentional deletion.

P.S. This is similar to what a lot of cameras have in their software. An addition to my request above is perhaps a way of reading if a photo is selected as locked in a camera, it remains locked when they are imported into Lightroom.

Thank you... keep up the good work,.
Nigel.

    How to restore pictures that have been deleted from Lightroom, but not removed from the 'drive '?

    You need a backup of your Lightroom catalog file before deleting the photos made. You have such a backup? If so, find the backup catalog, open it (double click on it) and then search for the photos you want and select them and then file-> export catalogue; Then go to your original catalog file, open it and select file-> import from another catalog and points to the catalog that you just exported.

    If you do not have a backup of your catalog file, then the only thing you can do is to import the photos again, and Lightroom will treat them as totally new photos with no editing and no metadata provided by the user.

    Moreover, the idea of importing photos into Lightroom and then later removing them to Lightroom should is limited to photos you will EVER want such a photos that are so overexposed or underexposed or blurred that they are essentially useless. The photos that you care enough to run a task on (including editing) should never be removed from Lightroom.

    Also, how can I restore photos after saving Lightroom.

    Is this the same problem as above, or another?

    Is it possible that you actually deleted pictures from the hard disk, as well as from Lightroom? Anyway, Lightroom cannot find the photos and you first need to find photos on your hard drives and then direct Lightroom to the location of the photo on your hard drive, using these instructions Adobe Lightroom - find folders and files moved or missing

  • Lost 9000 pictures after turning on the library of pictures of clouds and deleting on iphone. How do I get back them?

    Hi all

    I have 9000 photos on my iphone 5 s and they are all backed up on my iMac. Tried to transfer pictures 9000 for external hard drive, but took time and never managed (crashes).

    Vacation time comes, should as much space on my iphone to take pictures. Think maybe iCloud will be useful. Subscribe to greater ability to iCloud, turned on iCloud photo library on iMac and initiated to iCloud. Never finished. Maybe it's 12-13 June 2016. Then on the last night before departure holiday, maybe 16 June, decided to remove thousands of photos from my iphone in order to free up as much space as possible so that I can take a lot of pictures during the holidays.

    I took pictures of 1900 during the holidays.

    Returned home, turned on my iMac, see notes on iCloud saying Download 9000 pictures not completed. To be completed July 12.

    Today, to my horror, I found that iCloud has only 1900 photos from my vacation. And pictures of 9000 before the holidays went - not on my iMac photo app and not on iCloud (deleted on iPhone, but never expected copies on iMac to be gone too and thought iCloud would have some of them).

    Please help, it of all within 30 days or more - need the pictures back. My life in there somehow.

    Thank you and best regards.

    That's the problem.

    If you delete photos from your iPhone while you use iCloud photo library on the iPhone, the photos will be deleted icloud photo library and all devices sync with iCloud photo library. It's a synchronization service and not an external storage. ICloud library aims to keep libraries on all perfectly synchronized devices. Any photo that you import syncs to all devices, and any photo that you delete on any device in iCloud and all other devices are removed.

    Try to restore the photos on your iMac since the last backup of the Mac you made before you deleted pictures from your iPhone.

    The pictures have been completely removed, or are they still in your recently deleted album?  This album will keep the photos for 30 days, if empty you not prematurely.

  • How to delete a picture library "referenced" without deleting the original photos in the application which is used to compensate for my projects?

    I made the mistake of setting up Apple Photos on my Mac Pro using the library option "referenced" (which is where my computer file are not copied in the Photos). However, throughout the year, I started to do the 'projects' in pictures by which I copied some files of original photos in the Photos app. My library is now made up of a mixture of many referenced files and some originals copied into the app.

    Now I did some heavy reorganization and clean up the photos in my computer folder, but obviously none of these changes can be found in the photos referenced in the Photo app.

    My goal now is to started using iCloud Photos but I want to do with a clean slate (i.e. without using one of the current referenced library that I have pictures).

    I have two questions:

    (1) is there a way to Photos to delete ONLY the pictures that are files referenced and not the originals that are copied into the app?

    (2) if the above is not possible, then what happens to my projects if I simply delete all the photos I have in the app? I'll always be able to see the photos of the calendar, that I did for example?

    I'm afraid that if I delete my entire library I will not be able to access my projects more in the future. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can manage this?

    Thank you very much.

    A

    You can consolidate all of the photos that are referenced. If you have used photos referenced in the projects (calendars, books), select the photo in your photo library and use the command "file > consolidate."  This will copy the original referenced in your photo library.

    To find all the files referenced requiring consolidation of create a smart album:

    File > new Smart Album

    Set the constraint for the album 'Photo is referenced.

    Now you have all the photo referenced in an album. You can select the photos in this album and either use ' file > consolidate "to copy in the library or press the ⌘⌫ key combination to delete the picture from the library.

    Before you consolidate or remove a photo referenced, using ' file > reveal in Finder ' to view the original file.  This way you can remove the copy on your disk after you have removed the photo from your photo library.  If the referenced file is left behind, pictures will not remove.

    If you want to use your photo library with iCloud photo library, it is essential to consolidate the pictures referenced, because referenced photos cannot download on iCloud photo library.

    Hi Raven,

    Do you have third-party security programs installed on the computer?

    Basically, if the internet works in safe mode and not works in normal mode, not applications or third-party security programs can be in conflict with the drivers from the internet.

    As a solution, I suggest to uninstall the anti-virus program and check if it works in normal mode.

    Warning: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  • Do not lock - automate the deletion of backups RMAN old day after a success

    Hi all

    Admin: Do not lock this thread. I moved here the database instance based on the suggestion of another Member, and the question to this forum. If you want to lock a thread, lock one in the forum of the database, not this one.

    I am looking for a way to automate the deletion of backups RMAN old days only after the occurrence of a success. At the present time, I have daily backups of L0 via crontab, and I need to create a script that can tell if a successful backup is done, then delete the old L0 if it has. Any suggestions on how to start? I'm stuck in code to see if a successful backup has been performed.

    Oracle 11.2.0.3

    Exadata (4 nodes)

    Linux 5.10

    * a from database forum

    A backup is completed when the backup command is complete.

    You have two 'blocks execution' in your rman script.

    Put the DELETE OBSOLETE between the end of the last execution block and EXIT:

    OUTPUT CHANNEL fs1b;
    OUTPUT CHANNEL fs2b;
    OUTPUT CHANNEL fs3b;
    CHANNEL fs4b;
    CHANNEL fs5b;
    CHANNEL fs6b;
    CHANNEL fs7b;
    CHANNEL fs8b;

    }

    remove the backup noprompt obsolete;
    "exit";

    You also want to do some other household:

    cross-checking of backup;

    delete expired backup noprompt.

    overlap archivelog all;

    delete noprompt expired archivelog all;

    Last updated. Just Live Chat with the final answer:

    There is a corrupted file that is installed with the product. Find, delete it and PS CS6 it will rebuild properly. Here's how:

    1. click the Start button, type %appdata%\microsoft\windows\sendto, and then press ENTER. This will take you to the roaming folder.

    2. open the Adobe folder. You will see a folder called Adobe Photoshop CS6.

    3. delete the folder Adobe Photoshop CS6.

    4 PS CS6 should start now. It will rebuild the Adobe Photoshop CS6 file correctly.

    It worked for me.

  • problem with the locking insert and delete between two linked tables help please.

    Hi guys I have a problem with a table of locking in Oracle forms, but when I try in SQL happens here too many users. I was wondering if anyone can shed some light on this?

    I created two scenerios one that works and is not based on the primary key and foreign key constraints (but one that works is not possible for us because it would mean change design table that we can not do).

    I've hardcoded in 1127,1128 number to make it easier (in reality it is a sequence)

    OK scenerio one (our scenerio)

    two tables
     CREATE TABLE testSFLABPR
       (     LABP_REF_IRN VARCHAR2(25 BYTE),
         LABP_REF_REF VARCHAR2(30 BYTE),
         LABP_REF_SL NUMBER(8,0),
         LABP_CONFIG_ID NUMBER(8,0),
          CONSTRAINT PK_testLABPR_IRN_SL PRIMARY KEY (LABP_REF_IRN,LABP_REF_SL)
       ) ;

     CREATE TABLE testSFLABP
       (     LABP_IRN VARCHAR2(25 BYTE),
         LABP_OPNO NUMBER(3,0),
         labp_no NUMBER(8,0),
          CONSTRAINT PK_testSFLABP PRIMARY KEY (LABP_IRN, LABP_OPNO, LABP_NO) ENABLE,
          CONSTRAINT testFK_SFLABP_SFLABPR FOREIGN KEY (LABP_IRN,labp_no)
           REFERENCES TESTSFLABPR (LABP_REF_IRN,LABP_REF_SL) ENABLE
       ) ;
    OK now session is done the following
    DELETE FROM      testSFLABPR     WHERE   LABP_CONFIG_ID            = 1127;

    INSERT INTO testSFLABPR(
            LABP_REF_IRN,
            LABP_REF_SL,
            LABP_REF_REF,
            LABP_CONFIG_ID
            )
            VALUES
            (
            'SOPENSHELVING',
            1127,
            1127||'CF Route',
            1127
            );

    INSERT INTO testSFLABP
          (
          LABP_IRN,
          LABP_OPNO,
          LABP_NO)
    VALUES (
    'SOPENSHELVING',
    1,
    1127);
    session one remains in this State.

    second session now does the following
    DELETE     FROM testSFLABPR     WHERE   LABP_CONFIG_ID            = 1128;
    second session is now locked until a commit or rollback occurs.

    If I run the exact scenerio even with only a primary key on the table without locks held
     CREATE TABLE testSFLABPR

     CREATE TABLE testSFLABP

  • Can I import an old profile and prevent deletion of old emails that no longer exist on the server?

    I removed all the emails from the server and archivated them locally. A few days later, I reinstalled my windows, but I forgot to save the profile Thunderbird.

    I have an old backup, but whenever I try to use it, it doesn't (of course) delete all emails that do not exist on the server. Is it possible to avoid this automated sync or remove before opening the profile?

    Looks like you are using an Imap account.
    If you just try to save emails residing in mbox files (mbox files don't have any extension)

    Make sure Thunderbird is closed before doing anything in the profile folder.
    If you are familiar with the profile folder, you can copy paste the mbox files (without extension) in the account of 'Local folders' which is located in the folder "mail".
    and then restart Thunderbird. the indexing file (.msf) will automatically be created.

    OR
    Try to import them using a tool in "local folders".
    ImportExportTool addon:

    How to install the addon:
    Download file as addon for desktop or downloads folder.

    In Thunderbird
    Tools > icon menu or modules > Modules

    • Click the gear icon and select "install the addon from file".
    • Find the downloaded as file and click 'open '.
    • You have to restart Thunderbird.

    Make a right click on the "Local Folders" folder or another folder in "Local folders"
    Choose "ImportExporttools" > "file Mbox import.
    Select "Import directly one or more mbox files" and click OK

    Find the folder of mbox files backup profile
    Select mbox files, and then click 'open '.
    It has to import the folder containing emails.
