Placement of the COA sticker

Hello

I would like to ask if it is possible to place the sticker inside the carcass of a computer in the place outside. Because we met torn stickers that cancel the license for the operating system. Another option is, can we just photocopy the original sticker instead?

I am referring to an OEM license.

Thank you.

France

Hello Roggie,

Thanks for posting your question on the forum of the Microsoft community.

Photocopy of the original label is not an option. You can place the stickers inside the computer case. However, it is possible that because of the heat inside the envelope, the label can destroy.

The COA has full adhesive on the back and a sail port new left-position with support that allows a complete adhesives.

You can place stickers at the bottom of the housing.

You can also check this link:

I hope this information helps.

Please let us know if you need more help.

Thank you

  • 0x8004fe21 win 7 MGADiag not true report a different product than the COA sticker key

I have an Asus laptop K50IJ with Win7 Home Premium SP1 as (bought new in December 2009, from a reputable retailer) and about 5 years later, began to "this computer is not running genuine Windows" for some time in the middle to late February 2015, 0x8004fe21 appears on pop up message. I continued to by clicking on the red x to close the window because I have not had time to try to solve the problem. I was afraid to click on the link "Pay online now" in the pop up because I wasn't sure if it was a legitimate link or not. Last week, I started the research question, but I still don't know what to do. Control system info panel says that Windows is activated. I ran MGA diagnostic tool and noticed that the last 15 characters of the product key in the report are different from the sticker on the bottom of my computer. I found a lot of posts with corrections to this type of problem, but none of them are exactly my situation. We were on Windows update KB3004394 but that is not installed on my computer. Many precautions are noted so I hesitate to try something that changes the register or license key and product (e.g. slmgr /ilc or IPK) because I know not if the product key on the sticker will be valid. According to the report, "remaining Windows rearm count: 3 ' and a message says that the screen will become black permanently after a month, so last week I changed the system date of the month return to February (so today is 01/03/15) just in case where I can't solve this problem in time. I don't know if change the date system will be actually buy me more time, but the more I read about this type of problem, plus I'm not sure what to do. I'd like suggestions on how I could fix it if I should place a phone call to resolve. Thank you!

the COA sticker is supposed to be different,
SLP is OEM SLP (System Locked Preinstallation)
which means that you purchased the system with windows pre-installed.
If your system has not changed since you bought
other than the installation of programs and updates,
It is a positive WAT KB971033 false failure.

The key to the ASUS Win 7 Home Prem SLP is 2QDBX-9T8HR-2QWT6-HCQXJ-9YQTR http://www.galwayland.com/2010/03/windows-7-oem-slp-key-collection/

  • Key to Windows product activation on the COA sticker is wiped out

The product key on the COA sticker is annihilated. My laptop is in the form of post formatted with the trial version enabled...

How can I get the key...? Windows 7 Home Premium...

    Original title: activate Windows

Using your recovery win disks you do according to your instructions from PC manufacturers, when you got the PC, or even dial that PC manufacturers support to request the recovery discs, for which there will be a small fee

(Using disk recovery does not require any key to be entered)

  • Win7 home premium than oem may be activated by the product key on the COA sticker

I bought the original family win7 premium (OEM) DVD with the COA sticker on the box and the product id is 00359-OEM-8783781-40649.
I installed it in my mini laptop of wakatobi zyrex (wakamini mp1291) / atom intel N450 1.66 Ghz/1 GB RAM - RAM /HDD = fujitsu MJA2250BH G2 ATA
and activated by-> control-panel\system\windows activation\ (link) activate windows now.  After this "code: 0xC004C008»
' Description: the activation server determined that the specified product key cannot be used "appeared.

    Question:
    1. How can I activate win7 without having to buy a new one?
2 can you solve this problem just e-mail no phone because I have only a cell phone and you know it costs me much if
haved make a few calls about this issue?

  • I have a windows vista family software premium 64 bit I want to dasactivete the license to install a new license. my pc is now able to 64-bit in a new pc, I have the windows vista edition dvd Home premium 64-bit with the coa sticker

I want to contact microsoft to plan the new linses to activate the software

There is no way to disable a Windows. Install Vista Home Premium on the NEW PC and try to activate it. If activation fails, activate your Windows by phone. "A programmer is just a tool that converts the caffeine in code" Deputy CLIP - http://www.winvistaside.de/

  • New PC came without the Windows 7 disc and the COA sticker

Is there anyway to find out what is my COST and anyway to make my own record of what is already installed?  Or maybe get a CD-ROM of replacement directly from Microsoft without having to buy a whole new product since this is activated and genuine.

    Thanks for any help.

If you do not have a Windows 7 disc to the seller, you have really even a valid license of Windows 7 at first.  A valid license of Windows 7 includes documented product key, original installation DVD and the license agreement wrote.  The "song and dance" the seller "lose the drive" everything is wrong in itself.  If the seller cannot provide a disc of Windows 7 genuine, real, the license is not valid because as a result of an incorrect license transfer has occurred.  The only media that can replace Microsoft are "retail" and not "OEM" meida.  See: How to replace Microsoft software Carey Frisch

  • Windows COA sticker worn, how can I get Win7 key #?

I have a G60-535DX laptop, hard drive has been replaced and has no recovery Partition. Is there a way to get Windows 7 key # if I have a serial number of the product? The COA sticker is worn, it can not see all the characters. It came with Windows 7 Home Premium.

If you can boot into Windows, the easiest way to retrieve the key is to use a utility calledMagic Jellybean .

If you cannot start Windows, or who have already replaced or reformat your hard drive, then you have four choices.

    (1) use the recovery disk series or usb recovery media that you should have created and put in a safe place.

    (2) buy a HP or an HP partner recovery disk

    (3) purchase of a new facility under license of Windows 7 DVD

    (4) install an operating system open source as a version of Linux

If you are using a serial or usb disk recovery recovery media, you use the activation of license key. The Windows certificate of authenticity is just there to provide proof of legal license and in case an owner has decided to install a non HP Microsoft Windows version.

  • Cannot reactivate XP Home after a clean install (part of COA sticker missing)

My son had my old Dell inspiron 600 m away from the College, and I decided to completely wipe and reinstall XP Home before donation locally. Unfortunately the COA sticker on the base used in part, and I can't read 25 characters 3. No problem, I thought, because I know there is software that extract the product key from the registry. So I did this... and got a product key that's nothing but one on the sticker! We have never reinstalled Windows before product key has certainly never been changed since we bought the laptop in 2006, so for the life of me I don't understand why there should be a different product than the sticker under the watch key.

Well, I didn't have much choice at this time, so I used the product key from the registry during the reinstallation, and it has been accepted and worked well. However when I try to reactivate windows, MS site says that the key I used is "not allowed." I tried to go through the routine of phone to talk to someone and explain my situation, but the Nice robot just told me to go buy a "true copy" of windows. Well, we already have one of those, and I just want to turn it on. Of course, I'd appreciate any suggestions on my next steps. TIA!

Unfortunately, without the sticker from the bottom of your computer, you may be out of luck.

The difference in key OEM (like Dell) how can install using a unique key because of the huge number of machines they sell.  The sticker is there for you to use in a situation like yours.

If you can not go out only 3 characters?  Any reference to what they are about?

  • If the purchase of a laptop on eBay, if she is not a COA sticker, is still a legal installation of Windows?

I want to buy a laptop on ebay. I asked the seller if the laptop has the license on the side sticker of her reversise and if the version of windows 7 was legitimate.  I was told:

"Dear buyer, the unit does not have a license on the lapel sticker, but it will have a license Windows 7 installed. We also give you the keys for your records. »

Is this legal?  Do I need a permit sticker?

    * original title - do I need a license on a laptop sticker? *

    Hi chrisyy,

    What brand of laptop computer?

Each copy of Windows sold will have a certificate of authenticity (COA) with what comes in the form of a sticker on the machine.

The sticker is delivered with the new laptops/computers desktop computers.

If you bought a laptop computer, then you can or cannot get the sticker because it depends on the seller if they did or not.

However, I recommend you contact the manufacturer of the computer directly for more information.

    Hope the helps of information.

Please post back and we do know.

  • Missing on the new PC of PowerSpec COA sticker

Just bought two B328 Powerspec PCs and neither one has a COA sticker.  Their tech support says no more COA stickers, the recovery disc focuses on the BIOS for Setup key.  Is this correct?  I see this as being a nightmare if there is a problem that requires hardware replacement or reinstallation of the operating system. These computers are preinstalled with Windows 7 Pro and come with floppies installation for Win 7 Pro and Win 8 Pro.

Ok. they use a key of windows 7 OEM SLP with a bios compatible windows 7.

You should be able to reinstall with the provided windows recovery discs 7 OEM under normal circumstances. The dilemma is, if for some reason any computer fails to communicate properly with the slic table that the solution is to change the product key to the one on the certificate of authenticity.
Just to be clear, this isn't a bios compatible windows 8 and does not have the embedded product key. The product key is integrated into the OEM recovery media. (In windows 8 OEM, the product key is embedded in the bios.) support of information gave you is only correct for preinstalled windows 8. They seem to be misinformed.
I believe that this is the case:
Note: All manufacturers that use the SLP OEM system are bound by contract to include a certificate of Authenticity sticker (COA), which has a COA SLP key on the computer

They owe you two AOC by two of unique product keys.
as for discs of windows 8, I can only assume that they are media upgrade for which you would have to buy a license. (Note that both computers qualify for upgrade $ 14.99 price if you buy it in the time of delivery).
  • move pictures from a memory stick in a different place, and release in addition to the memory stick. I find that the pictures (copies) are always on the memory stick

I don't want to make copies, which I already have, I want to get out in addition to the memory stick of mnving content in a portable hard drive permanently. My photos are totally assembled in 3 different places in my windows computer (not my fault) Photo Gallery, I don't want the images there are... My collection is private.  Picasa collects all the photos again. I want the originals stored for future use in a hard drive laptop or on disks.

I do not use the photo gallery, you just need a viewer to open the pix.

Also, I don't know why you get 4 copies. Some libraries can be deleted if you do not use. I don't remember those that can be deleted, so you'll just to test.

If I understand correctly: create a folder for the original user and another for the edited pix. After you have moved the pix on the flash drive, you can delete the content of this file and it is there and empty for the next round of pix.

  • ThinkPad E530: Windows 8 COA sticker missing

Recently, I bought Thinkpad E530 mobile computer with Windows 8 Pro installed. However, I did not receive installation disc and there was no COA sticker anywhere. I also checked under the battery. The seller says something like "it's something new with Windows 8 and sticker is no longer necessary.

I tried first to get assistance on Microsoft website, but after entering Windows 8 PID I learned that I would have to pay for it, because my copy is supported by Lenovo.

Contacting Lenovo has proved to be a challenge. I was just unable to find a way to do online. Only way seems to be by phone and:

    1. I'm not willing to pay for international calls

    2. I want, a written confirmation, so I put pressure on my seller

So, I really need to know, how to communicate with Lenovo and ask two things:

    1. How can I install media?

    2. How can I get the key of Windows 8 (for example to install the new copy) and the COST is really more provided.

    Thank you in advance.

    Correct COST is over supplied.

If you want to learn more about the PID, see http://pcsupport.about.com/od/windows-8/a/windows-8-product-key.htm

I have a TechNet subscription, so I have no problems with getting ISOs for Windows 8 Pro (which I'm available for). Once you get the correct version, you should be able to install the operating system without even having to enter the product key.

  • What is a COA sticker, and where is it located?

WHAT IS STICKER COST? WHERE IS IT LOCATED? WHY DO WE NEED?

original title: THIS IS THAT COA STICKER?

Ouch! Please do not yell at us. We can hear you if you type normally,
    in different cases.

See other responses, you got, but note also that you have that
sticker only if you purchased your computer with Windows pre-installed.
You don't have if you bought Windows yourself and installed.
