    3. navigate to C:\Program Files\Common search in Motion\Apploader.

There are two methods for recovering for you to try:

    One:

    • Open Blackberry Desktop Software & connect your device with the PC using the USB cable, without inserting the battery.
    • You have three Retry option, update or cancel, and then click Update.
    • Once it is at the stage of the "initialization of pocket" update, then insert the batteries.
    • If this does not work, and you get stuck on the safeguarding of social data feeds, go to the second method below.

    Second:

    • Start your BlackBerry in safe mode.  Article ID: KB17877 how to start a mode BlackBerry smartphone without failurehttp://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB17877
    • Connect to the BlackBerry Desktop Software and allow handheld to connect. If you are prompted to update, cancel the upgrade for later.
    • IF you can not connect or your desktop software does not recognize your device in Mode safe, please follow the instructions here to force detection: Article ID: KB10144 how to force detect the BlackBerry smartphone using the Application Loader
    • Go to device > delete > SELECT DATA > select this option to remove the Social flow and smart card data bases and follow the rest invites you to complete.
    • Now, you can go back and click to update the device through the Desktop Manager, or restart the BlackBerry in normal mode and continue on the upgrade of the air.

Hello and welcome to the community!

You said "hard reset", but I can't tell if you did exaclty or not... Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

In addition, you could try to start in safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in safe mode

and delete the most recent thing (s) you have installed just before this problem started.

After that, it's an OS Reload try... but we're going to stay on it for the moment.

    Good luck!
    Best!

  • Plan of blackBerry Smartphones that BB?

The description of the Plans of BlackBerry on T-Mobile is not clear. I was wondering what I should get for unlimited text messaging. I can do without the web browsing, but I need IMing.

you're right, it does not tell you anything beyond the personal e-mail configuration and navigation. 9.99 looks best, but you will not be able to navigate through blackberry browser, but can set up personal e-mails. and 19.99 gives you can browse by e-mail.

I guess you have to call TMO to find out if you can use various IM, I guess that you will ask them anyway to add the plan. Your choices are really plans 19.99 or 9.99

It comes from occurring as you face constraints of memory in your device. The low memory manager (LMM) is activated automatically when the flash available on the BlackBerry smartphone memory decreases less than 400 KB. Flash memory is used to store such as Messages, calendar, Contacts, tasks, Notepad BlackBerry smartphone applications and third-party applications.

    Perform the following steps-

    1. Give a soft reset by removing the battery for 30 sec.
    2. Check the amount of memory is free in your device to Options -> status -> free memory. To view all aspects of database go to Option -> status -> click on the Menu button and then select the database size
    3. Remove the less frequently used application. To remove go to Options -> Advanced Options -> Applications -> highlight the application you want to delete-> click Menu , and then select Remove
    4. If you stored your image in the memory of the device to move them to your media card

If you need anything just display it.

  • Plan of blackBerry Smartphones O2 PAYG - cards to access/activate BB - data needed?

Hi all, I am a beginner full and continuous gray... quickly!

I have read that I need a "data Plan" in order to download/activate/sort the cards of the BB. At the moment I have not even an icon on my BB. If I add a "bolt it ' my distribution to internet usage will be that meet the requirement of data Plan or I'm wasting my time and need to change my contract? Sorry if this seems a silly question, but I am a complete novice.

If I go to options / advanced options/applications - blackberry maps 4.7.0 is where

If I go to options / advanced options/cards it says "default service: no '"

    SE cofuddled really this!

    Thanxs much

Thank you. Just spoke to O2 and bolt on does NOT blackberry. I updated to a contact for only a couple more that I was paying on PAYG quid.

BlackBerry Services are only available on contract.

  • Unlimited data plan for blackBerry Smartphones = use the internet free of charge?

Hi guys, sorry im just a noob when it comes to phone plans. in any case here is my question. I have the blackberry bold 9700, my career is Rogers, and I have the data plan unlimited thing of service. Does that mean I can use the web browser built into the blackberry 'free of charge '. because I know that I can connect to my router with wi - fi, but I just want to know if unlimited plan data, if I can use internet on my phone without any charge

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Any carrier the rules of what services are available and what they cost. This generic FAQ provides some information:

However, with hundreds of carriers in the world with dozens of different data plans, it is best to ask them directly for services that you have and at what cost. But, as a general rule, the built in browser BB requires a complete data BB plan (as stated in the FAQ). However, as also the FAQ, you can get another browser which may be able to work with all your services are that you have enabled your carrier.

    Good luck!

  • Normal blackBerry Smartphones wap data and wifi, support plan

I got my 8900 for a week and love it, I still find questions, however.

Obviously, I have a data plan for it, so I can down load things and use full functions

I also put in place to find and connect to my home of BT Home hub router.

IM amazed how he picks up as fast, from the time wherever I shoot on the disk.

MY question is.    When im at home, when I go to download things, as applications use the browser.  is it automatically use my wifi to downlaod them and no data plan? (I admit it seems faster)

As long as you have turned on WiFi logo, you are on the Wi - Fi router.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones off data services - how will this affect my phone?

I recently bought my first Blackberry ever and I am now impressed and have a few questions through

I've had a look around and managed to find a lot of what I need these forums already, so I am very grateful to everyone who has already answered in other issues, as it helped me.

However, I have a question that remains unanswered.

I bought the phone without a data plan and I have looked around and saw that to navigate through the wifi I have to configure my browser for mode access point.

I can browse the mobile network, but as pay as you go and it's expensive, so I want to prevent that from happening. I've already hired a few fees according to my bill online trying to browse before wifi I found the access point mode.

I found the entry of data services. If I turn this off, my phone will still work as usual? (phone, receive texts and picture messages?) -If it prevents my phone to connect by mistake, it would be exactly what I need! However if it prevents that, I guess it's a useless option!

Cheers in advance for any help.
