  • The company, plans of switching license

    Need help, please.

As a society that we changed the license of the company and by chance, our division: 6 accounts are changed the standard of design (which we use years) video production plan. We have been asking for a sale to the plan at the time we realized the mistake and add an of more (to make a total of 7), and if there is no loss of money due to the change of plan, we compensate those if adding an account won't cover.

However, despite the fact that none is written in the contract, the only repeat sale license cannot add, but not to change, which cost us more than double for 3 years and no cancellation allowed. In total, we pay more that a person simply purchased any plan. The seller said there is a discount of volume for the license of the company so that we are not 'lose', and if that is the case, so we asked what kind of discount we get which replace double payments and no answers.  They insist verbal or face-to-face communication only and as a service product or sell a license that we refuse as no required minutes, I'm quite hierarchical to talk with them in the months and our work was ineffective for not being able to use the right plan.

Can we do something to improve the situation and change the saleswoman please? I think they're just design wasting our time by not answering is not to lose the moment and the opportunity to spend.  Your kind help will be appreciated. Thank you 1 million.

  • Plan of switching the widget does not appear

I use Illy CC, know moderately well, but never used before perspective grid.  Just trying to get to grips with it, and everything is logical, except that I don't have the perspective plane selection widget that shows in all the tutorials, can't seem to find it, or I can't find how to enable it.

This widget is available on Mac?  (I'm on windows) or this feature has been discontinued since the tutorials?

Really appreciate help from anyone on what I don't know how which plan is active, without this.

To make sure that the widget is simply not hide off the screen or behind something else.

Double-click the tool Perspective grid in the toolbar to bring up the box of perspective grid options, that the change of position of the Widget.

  • BlackBerry 10 you plan to switch to the Q10

    Hi all

I thinking about moving to the Q10 of the iPhone, but there are some key features I really depend on and ask you your kind advice if BB10 is able to do.

    1. I use the Gmail app on the iPhone and it has the ability to save frequently used e-mail addresses that I send to my browser and seized semiautomatic them when I send it in the Gmail iPhone app. BB10 will be able to do this?

    2. the ability send as e-mail addresses as all my work mail gets forwarded to my Gmail account. There are workaround solutions I came across Crackberry.com and I was wondering if anyone knows if the bugs were bypassed which means that some emails don't come through as a secondary label was assigned to them in Gmail.

If 2 above work well, I have very will certainly go to Q10 as I really miss the keyboard!

    Thank you!

I transferred it automatically for one simple reason: my office limits size of just 100 MB mailbox, which is so totally inadequate. This is why I have sent auto.

Ahhh... I see. Well, most e-mail administrators have to put some limits. In most e-mail systems, a large mailbox may endanger the health of the entire system, which can cause problems for all users of one of them having too big of a mailbox. It is a delicate balance that they work, especially to determine what is the definition of "large".

What is encouraged is the use of storage methods that are outside the system/server...depending real e-mail on your e-mail system to work as well as your e-mail client, you may be able to create local files (e.g., PST) that store your 'old' emails and allow then the mailbox (on the server) to stay within the limits. And, depending on the email client you use (for example, Outlook), it may "look and feel" just as usual, just a different selection within the interface of email to get the former goods. This means that the older items are available on this platform, of course, so it's really is useful only when something of really can be archived (for example, you can access these items archived from your mobile device). Email admins don't like really not their servers to hold data "archive".

But, fortunately, it means is that you can then send "in" your professional e-mail account on your mobile device. The only challenge will be in its response... to really just hit 'reply', you will need to go to the e-mail account of actual work on your device, instead of using GMail response point (since, with the answer, it will be limited to come 'to' gmail). But with elements you get to GMail as auto-vers the front, if you then re - forward (rather than answer) of GMail, you can change the account 'from' and it goes out through your work email system.

    fi5hbone wrote:

Haha I know what you mean. Not that I think that there is a work around that, other than to go to the right account to filter it!

You might consider some rules on your job server. Yet once, not knowing what it is, I can't be terribly accurate. But, if you can create another rule, which, after the automatic transfer, the item is moved to another folder on your job server (for example, to Inbox, and in another folder), then it will not be duplicated on your mobile device. Of course, it would say that, when you want to really 'reply', you'll only on your mobile device element which has been automated to GMail transfer, which means that you may not have actually to a little 'answer', but rather will have to use forward and then change the account 'from' on your mobile device so that re-enter the information 'to '.

    fi5hbone wrote:

I guess that's something I have to live with when I combine my emails. Thanks again!

Or... on your BB10 device, you can control which shows in the primary area of 'Hub Messages' (it's a 'Inbox unified", showing you the elements of all accounts into your device, but you can control which accounts actually feed 'Hub Messages'). For example, you can prevent "Hub Messages" to view these items received on your professional e-mail account. If you really want to 'reply', you would have to pull to the left to view the menu of "peek" Hub and then select your professional account, find the specific email, then open it to use this response.

Or, some other workflow might work better for you... There are a lot of choices and methods available. You will probably need to experiment a bit to find the method that suits you best.

You're most welcome and good luck!

  • What switch do you recommend

    Hello

    Brief description of our environment...

    x 1 poweredge R720 with x 4 network ports for iSCSI
    x 2 poweregde R710 with x 4 network ports for iSCSI
    x 1 poweregde R610 with x 2 network ports for iSCSI

    x 2 PS6100E EQL
    x 2 PS4100E EQL
    x 2 PS6000 EQL
    X 4 PS5000 EQL

Everything is distributed evenly between two floors of the building by using SyncRep and regular replication on the EQL boxes and using a VMware HA and DRS cluster on hosts.
Physically separate networks for iSCSI network and production.

We use 5448 powerconnect on the iSCSI network switches. One PC5448 for each floor and they are connected with x 4 fiber LACP trunk link.

I know that these switches have to be replaced, but what? PC6248, PC7048 or Force10? Perhaps even another manufacturer? If so which model? The price IS a decisive factor, I don't have the budget for expensive stuff

Check the support matrix Equallogic to get an idea of what switches are validated and supported / recommended. It is not limited only the Dell switches (Cisco, Juniper and Brocade options listed there).

First, you'll want to upgrade to double switches on each floor and LACP together. You can stack them, but this has the drawback that if ever you want to / need to upgrade the firmware of the switch in one or both of the rooms, you'll need 100% service interruptions in this room.

In my next part I'll stick to switches Dell since it is a Dell message board.

I would skip the PC6200 series unless your budget can not install a switch better. The 6200 is a decent switch, but it's on its way out (this can be seen by the fact that Dell has not updated the firmware on the switch since the 3.3 series (all 7 k and higher switches are now on a firmware 5.x).) The Force10 S25 series is better than this PC7024 a switch, but if you plan to switch to 10 GB at some point, you may consider a pair of 8132 s PowerConnect in each room. The non - F version uses RJ45 ports that can make 1Gbit and 10 GB, then you can use to start just the current units of EQL, but new units could be 10Gbit units. You want to get the QSFP + optional modules for each switch and 2 wires for each pair, so you can use these 2 40Gbit LACP ports switches set in each room.

If you want to use a LACP between the 2 rooms consisting of two switches, you have a more difficult choice to make; stack the switches (with the disadvantage that I mentioned above), or upgrade to Force10 S4820s that these offer the possibility to make a channel of port on 2 non-Stack switches (PowerConnect firmware does not offer this).

Cisco and Brocade offer similar characteristics (to execute a LACP on 2 switches non-Stack), but I do not know what exact firmware and/or switches that would offer.

  • Configs ISE Cisco switch

I guess Cisco ISE sends a redirect to URL to the switch and switch, it presents to the customer in the case of access comments get a redirect URL with acceptance of the user (guests and not wired) Page.

My question is, do we need to configure the server http and https on the switches (both pleading and authenticator)?

I don't know that it will take a confirmation, but just wanted to...

I checked the configuration for the supplicant and authenticator of ISE switches, and there no where not mentioned this part of the config.

http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/security/ISE/1.0/user_guide/ise10_troubleshooting.html (a redirect to URL and possible cause problem is mentioned) - make sure that the config is necessary.

(the begging and authenticator switch configuration) - mentioned anywhere in the configuration of http/https for the two switches.

Yes, his need.  The http/s server in the swtich is used to retrieve the user http traffic and redirect the traffic to the CWA portal, or a registration portal device or even for the portal of integrated Mobile Device Management (MDM).  .

    IP http secure server

The info below, I caught Cisco ISE for BYOD and book secure access unified.

"Organization many want if ensure that this referral process to aid internal HTTP Server switch is dissociated from the management of the switch itself, in order to limit the risk of the user interacts with the intervace plan a switch of control and management."  This can be accomplished by connecting the two following commands in global configuration mode:

    "IP http secure-active-session-modules no".

  • Suggestion of DR Plan

    Hi all

We have a small site, where 84 VM running on the HP case Server Blade BL 460c Gen 8.

    The configurations are:-

    4 host ESXi 4.1.0 build 800380.

    Cluster:-Single

    Storage - HP SAN.

There is a blackout in DC and UPS failure. DEU failure sudden, ESXi host and storage were down. After the restoration of power, the whole army ESXi 4 increased but the devices were not started in a sequential order, which caused the chassis environment plan (FC switch) failure and the VM could not see the storage. Little VM criticized causing interruptions of factory service and we tried to restore the virtual machine to the database local from the Avamar backup, but unfortunately backup avamar (VM) was also running on the same cluster.

Now, we must plan DR so that in the future, we can prevent this kind of failure. The research of DR plan advisor.  Thanks in advance.

    Thank you

    Hello

Few things to note here before planning to DR.

Looking for Site resilience in the Wan?

Looking for a Dr. in the same data center?

Looking for a DR LAN/MAN networking?

Once decided above, you must define RPO/RTO for recovery during the disaster. The amount of data should be the maximum loss and the way which much time it should take up to talk about the site.

Once decided RPO/RTO, go looking for what type of data recovery? Backup of Ribbon through or asynchronous replication?

Once all responses in hand, here are some options you can plan of DR.

    Plan #1

SRM (Site Recovery Manager) - since you have small infrastructure, it will be inexpensive. However as the best practices, you can go with this if the cost is not forced.

    Short plan: -.

-Install the VC in two different sites.

-Install the SRM on both sites.

-Ask storage team to provide LUNS replicated to use for this VM.

-Configure SRM protected and recovery Site. See the SRM guide for more depth.

    Plan #2

Use 2 sites and restore the backup to a tape in the event of a disaster.

    Plan n ° 3

Use LUNS replicated for virtual machines.

Use 2 sites in different places.

Make visible those LUNS to the other site and register VM to this site, in the event of disaster.

    Kind regards

  • Installation of physical switches for ISCSI traffic

Is that all I need to know from a networking perspective to configure ISCSI switches dedicated to support my ISCSI SAN on the left?

I do not plan on switches connected to the prod network. I only plan on using these switches for ISCSI traffic.

LeftHand supports LACP, if your supprt of switches that you should consider using the trunk mode. In my SAN P4300, I have two 3750's stacked. Each SAN node will connect to each switch and is located in a LACP/etherchannel link. All this is condensed to a single virtual IP address which is presented to ESX/i. don't forget to create a vmk for each dedicated vmware iscsi connection and bind according to this pdf.

  • can I use Norton toolbar and Identity Safe with Firefox?

I currently use Chrome on my PC Windows 8.1 and I plan to switch to Firefox after the good reviews, but I want to make sure that I can use my Norton Identity Safe and toolbar.

Yes, Norton keeps their Firefox extensions updated with the calendar of the Firefox releases; updates are generally available within hours (or minutes) after that Mozilla releases a new version of Firefox. Much, much better than the other security Suites that are currently available.

As already mentioned, all the user needs is to run a Norton Live Update after update Firefox, although sometimes, the user may need to run the update Live a few times to get all the updates to download and install.

  • Firefox does not add the Silverlight or Flash plugins installed

Since Firefox updated to 17.0.1, the plugins flash and silverlight has simply disappeared.
I tried to clean install of the flash player, it didn't work. I tried to install clean an earlier version of flash player, what does not work. The plugin Manager is less useless as it says that the plugin has been installed successfully, but I can't use Netflix or any flash video. I did everything above once more with all the plugins and addons disabled, and still nothing happens.

It gets really frustrating and indeed I plan to switch to chrome after the chain crap, forced updates, mozilla pushed down my throat... Help, please!

-All right, follow these steps in the following order (even if you already have one of these steps, just try again):

    1. Use http://ninite.com/firefox-flash-silverlight/ninite.exe to make sure Firefox, Flash and Silverlight are perfectly up-to-date. Make sure that Firefox is completely closed before running this program. (It might be useful to download this, restart your computer, then run it)
    2. After installation, restart your PC again.
    3. Open Firefox, type about: addons in your address bar, press ENTER. Go to plugins. Flash or Silverlight appear here? You may need to enable them.
    4. If not, reset Firefox. Refresh Firefox – reset the parameters and modules
  • Is there a way I can move the playlist of my Safari in another browser?

My computer was giving me grief (see details on the saga here: Macbook Pro gel randomly display.) Sounds and cursor still works.) and I wonder if Safari might have something to do with it. I plan to switch to a different browser such as Firefox or Chrome. However, I use my Safari to read list very frequently, and the list is extremely long. I was wondering, is it possible that I can transfer sort of playlist of my Safari in one of these browsers so that I can access my list of reading pages in these browsers?

I know this may sound stupid.

If this is not possible, could you suggest a way for me either:

    1. Find a way to translate the playlist pages Favorites (as opposed to the playlist entries) for the new browser?
    2. Reading to find a way to transfer or copy the URL and possibly the titles of each entry in list to another type of list (for example a Word doc)?

I would really appreciate if someone could help me out here.

    Before I forget, I use Safari 9.1.

I'm running Windows 8 (xp) and you plan to switch to Firefox. I would like to know what is the latest version of Firefox for my laptop?

Do you mean IE8? Windows 8 was not released.

You can use the latest version, Firefox 5.0.1. Look at the system requirements carefully to be sure that only what is necessary, especially the Pentium 4 processor and enough RAM since many XP systems came with only 256 MB. Here is the Service Manual:
