Play local video files on 4400 G

Hello

I use Digital Media Designer to create content for our local office and remote sites. I'm interested in video game in the remote offices. Is it possible to point to the remote DPM DMD to read video files stored locally on this DMP? I know that I can set up a remote site streaming media server to play the video from, but it would be nice to be able to point to the DMP at the remote site and read the files stored locally instead of streaming over the Wan.

Thank you

Luke

Hello Luke,.

For the configuration you describe, the best approach would use the DMS content distribution mechanism.

With this feature, the DMM will push video content on discs the in the DMP and then teach them to read this content stored locally.

For more details on how to use this feature, click on the link below:

    My Windows media player recently stopped playing my video files that have a. Extension of MOD, although the audio is not yet once the video is crushed. When the video freezes a computer bubble lets me know that the driver igfx has stopped working and then recovered.

    May be that the video file format is not compatible with Windows Media Player.

    Options: -.

    1] download and install VLC Player. It's free and supports file formats more than WMP.

    2] download and install the codecs

    Personally, I prefer VLC Player-if you have that then not need to download and install the codec of any third party.

    You can try this procedure to restore your windows media player.

    (1) Perform SFC first. Follow the link on how to make SFC (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833)

    (2) turn on / off Windows Media Player again.

    a. go to start and in the search type 'Turn Windows has or not'.

    b. click on the "Turn Windows features on or off".

    c. check the "media features.

    d. restart the computer.

    You can also try restore (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/products/features/system-restore) your computer to the final point where windows media player worked.

    Or you can use the previous versions of windows media player that comes from restore points or windows backup.

    Or you can try to run 'Fixit '.

    Here are a few ways, one using the Netstream class using the FLVPlayback component.

    The NetStream approach, what follows in the timeline code will play/loop for the planned mp4 file...

    var video: Video;

    var connect_nc:NetConnection = new NetConnection();
    connect_nc. Connect (null);

    var stream_ns:NetStream = new NetStream (connect_nc);

    stream_ns.client = this;

    function netStatusHandler(p_evt:NetStatusEvent):void {}
    If (p_evt.info.code == "NetStream.Play.Stop") {}
    stream_ns. Seek (0); for the video loop
    }
    }

    stream_ns.addEventListener (NetStatusEvent.NET_STATUS, netStatusHandler);

    video = new Video();
    addChild (video);

    video.attachNetStream (stream_ns);

    stream_ns. Play("path_to/Your.MP4");

    For the FLVPlayback component, add it to the stage, give it an instance name ("public service" used below), assign your file mp4 ("path_to/your.mp4") as the source property in the properties panel and select the option autoplay as well.  Place the following code in the timeline...

    fp.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, playAgain);

    function playAgain(evt:Event):void {}
    FP. Play();
    }

    To put the Flash file swf in a html page, in the settings of publication set to publish a swf and an html page.  Publish the file one the html page will be created for you.

  • Firefox won't play .ogv video files when loading a server. Does anyone have answers will fix this?

    I read the suggestions to resolve this, and none of them work. I've updated my .htaccess to match the MIME types for .ogv, I downloaded the binary files and ASCII, neither method works. The .ogv file plays well when you load from a local file, but it will not play seen from a remote server. I confirmed with my hosting company the .htaccess and other issues for HTML5 are up-to-date. Safari and Chrome play the HTML5 videos very well, but not Firefox. Does anyone have concrete answers as to what is the problem. I also use .webm and .mp4 video files, but none of these formats work in Firefox either.

    I pestered my hosting a bit more and told them that all topics help here said it was a hosting problem. They double-checked and did a little work on their end, and * voila *, everything works fine now!

    The bottom line advice: Pester your hosting service to solve this problem!

  • WMM6 do not play any video file

    I'm trying to burn a DVD with a slideshow of 11 minutes and 5 title slides.  The original slideshow is a .mov format.  FormatFactory ver3 to convert to wmv.  When the 11 min wmv file is imported into Windows Movie Maker 6, only 50 seconds to play.  The timer/counter shows he is still streaming, but the Visual remains frozen and the audio stops.  This is true even for a dvd burned from the file.  The burned DVD will load and play, but video and audio that freeze the counter continues.  The wmv file plays completely using windows media player, but I need to burn DVDs for this file. I have windows Vista.sp1

  • WndOws Media Player hangs when I play HD video files

    Just upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate edition of Vista business and Windows Media Player crashes every time I try to play matroska and other video files high definition. Need to add that these files were perfectly play in WMP when I was on Vista. I installed the latest version of the K-Lite Codec pack on my system.
    Any suggestions?

    What is the specific error that you receive in WMP? I can put up an Easy Assist session if you want and can remotely to your system and take a look. Feel free to write me directly at * address email is removed from the privacy *.

    That being said, WMP12 is 7 and Vista WMP11. They cannot be deleted or moved to one or the other. Vista was actually less support for native playback of most types of audio and video than 7 don't. If you have absolutely no other codecs installed then a H.264 with just Haali installed should play back fine. • Blue death to play some video files

    I have a problem of blue of death:

    On playback of certain formats video, blue death happens.

    most of the video formats play well - as avi via YouTube or players on the web. but others cause systematically and immediately crash.

    I managed to 'solve' the crash when played via media player classic via uninstall the 64B version and using only version 32 b for all video files and who "solved" the problem, games version 32 b all good video files (even those that crashed earlier)
    the problem remains for a few videos via browsers (internet explore and firefox)-youtube always time well played, but I noticed at least some vimeo videos cause a crash
