• How do I enter "Play the feature" WMP

  Running windows7 home premium 64-bit on an asus computer laptop.  In the past, I listened to the photo slide shows from my laptop to our Sony TV with no problems, using game for and selecting the Sony Bravia in the list of devices printers on my laptop.  Can't do it now.  How can I restore/access this ability?

  Thank you, Shawn; followed your instructions and they worked.

  1. Make sure that you open the Windows Media Player real, not the new application, but the original old media player (same as that of Windows 7 is still there, use the search box to find out).
  2. Find the song/music/photo, you want to play on your TV.  Right click, choose "Cast to the device" and choose your TV from the list.
  3. If it does not, run the troubleshooter to homegroup and it will define your network as private.

  You must correct the errors of the compiler before you can even begin to debug your code.

  to begin with, you have no object named btn on stage so you don't create with code.  fix this.

• Media Player play error "unable to retrieve information from server, UPnP media."

  I have a Denon AVR 1912 receiver and a PC running Windows 7 w/WMP12.  When I try to use the ' play to ' I can select the receiver but get an error "Unable to retrieve media information from media server."

  I tried to re - install WMP 12 and tried to disable my firewall without success.  AirPlay works very well, but I prefer WMP I-Tunes.

  The content is on the same computer.  Streaming is enabled and that the receiver is "allowed".

  I don't know if it's fixed or not... but I found the solution last night after I spent the most frustrating 5 hours of my life! It is probably a windows problem. I recently replaced my HP laptop with a Dell Vostro 3450 and all of a sudden, I found that this "Play To" feature did not work with my Samsung LED TV UA55C8000. To confirm that this was not a firewall or format related issue I even used the Samsung PC Share software on my PC to act as a DLNA server... With PC share the WMP12 server found no problem 'Contacting the media server' as... but with its own library, it's just stuck there, with a possible failure message. [Point to note is that, even when he could not contact the media server, I could control the TV volume using the same window!]

  This is what did the trick for me:

  1 closed WMP12.

  2. go into [Control Panel-> system] Services and safety-> administration-> Services tools

  3. Locate the service named "Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service"

  4. stop the Service manually.

  5 locate the "UpnP device host" service Stop the service and restart it.

  6. start 'Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service' now.

  7. close the control panel and all the windows. Open Windows Media Player... make a right click on a playlist and see if the Play option lists the TV. Try to play now... He started playing for me at this point!

• Windows Media Player 12 "Play To" does not work

  I am trying to use the "Play To" feature between two Windows 7 computers.  Both behave the same way.  When I select the "Play To" feature at the top right of the window, the "Play To" dialog box appears very briefly.  In fact, so briefly that I just see the outline - no text inside (I don't see "play to" in the title area).  I have all the media streaming features turned on and I can 'see' libraries (and can view all photos/videos, etc) - I just can't "play to." I tried two computers in both directions.  I don't get the error messages and I don't see anything in the log files.  Note that, when I try to use the "Play To" feature in Windows Explorer, I get the following error "as it is impossible to find the resource specified in the image file type."

• Edit 'Play' in the new port monitor?

  Since the 7.1 update connection monitor was wrapped in the program monitor.  This has worked well for me except in the case of the 'Play Around' to change the function.  In the window "Port monitor" previous, I could twist a clip, do with the function of 'Play Around', tweak, view, tweak, view, tweak, etc..  Now whenever I use the 'Play Around' feature, it does the job, but at the same time, it pulls me on the monitor connector and in the regular program monitor.   So now if I want to experiment with an editing tool, it adds an extra step to the process... Enter monitor connection, twist, finds out, enter (again) connection monitor, twist, finds out, enter (again) connection monitor, twist, view, etc..

  As I am fine-cut a series of changes that require a lot of corresponding action, this additional step adds a considerable amout of time to my work flow (even by using the keyboard shortcut to get back into the connector monitor)... I wonder if anyone else has had this problem and knows a work around?

  I'm not sure I understand.  The space bar now committed the playing functionality that repeats until stopped, around how automatically return you to the mode normal trim.  You get out of the mode pad again hit the T, uncheck the edit point or by moving the ICT in the sequence.

  It's pretty brilliant and effective, I think.

• 3.1 AT100 not seen by Win7 as a network device, dlna fail

  My AT100 with v3.1 can use the Toshiba Media Player integrated to transmit certain types of video from my PC Win7 Home Edition, but the PC can't see the AT100 as a WiFi-connected device. As the AT100 is certified compatible DLNA (I know that "compliant" does not necessarily mean "fully compliant with all aspects") I expect to see the AT100 in view of features of Win7 as my Media Player for WDTVLive appears.

  I use a TV tuner card in the PC to record free to air programs for changing object that registers Win7 as .wtv file types. The AT100 nor the WDTVLive could play this type of file when pulling the stream from the PC. However, I can push the .wtv files using the WDTVLive watching "Play To" feature. I can't ' play to ' the AT100 because Win7 does not recognize the AT100 as a device connected.

  OMP Win7 there is a window that shows all the devices on the network and allows streaming of the permissions to be set individually for each device. I can find the AT100 in this list as an unidentified device by matching the MAC address reported.

  I plugged the AT100 by USB and charge Win7 a driver, it gave me the ability new use of WiFi on the AT100 to control the streaming of files from the PC to the WDTVLive. The PC, however continues to refuse to recognize the AT100 its device management windows.

  Whoever did this with different results?

  Can't say anything about the DLNA but AFAIK the Toshiba Media Player preinstalled on A100 supports different mod and one of the mods called DMP (digital media player).
  Choice of this mode allows to connect to the PC or laptop with preinstalled Windows Media Player 12. But this only works under Win 7! This will allow to distribute video files.

  I want to ride from my Windows media player to my 2 of the devices connected to my home group, at the same time, so I can listen to music in both rooms.

  I find that I can mount several devices to my PC, but not at the same time. Any suggestions?

• Video: slightly Fuze related... the experts?

  OK, it didn't is not quite focused on the rocket, but maybe someone could point me in a better way...

  I have a number of converted YouTube videos to AVI and then by SMC for the "rocket".

  They play a lot on the "rocket".  No problems.

  When I play the avi directly (prior to conversion, by MSC) through VLC player files on my PC, they play a lot.  VLC Player recognizes them as avi DivX files.

  Now, here's the deal: I have a standalone portable dvd player that has USB and SD card ports. (coby DVD7377 TF) This is the firmware is set up for playback of DivX files.  It has a really difficult time with these avi files and does not play them correctly.  He plays another feature film professionally converted files simply awesome.

  I tried the Convert function in VLC Player - DivX encoding.  Somehow, it works or even make the correct files that I can tell.

  Does anyone know of an application that will import different video files and allow the conversion to true DivX format or other definable parameters by the user?

  I have a similar problem with video files (avi) on my Canon camera.  They will play very well on the WMC and VLC players but not on this portable dvd player.

  Any ideas or suggestions?

  I would try to get the Pack Divx 7. It is free to download and you get a converter that can convert any file to DivX pure, or hi def, or any which one you choose, it's good for 30 days for the converter. DivX itself is free, and you can drag your video files to the drive and burn a divx dvd or cd with the video files you have.

  Google search for divx 7, then download and install them.

• AutoPlay sound but no picture

  I put in a dvd to play. I hear but there is no image. Ive had this issue a couple of times before, but I was able to restart my computer and it would go. I tried for two weeks to play a movie and nothing. The sound is perfect, but no image. except when I get to the dvd menu that has play and features and stuff. the selection icon appears but nothing else. I can't see what is selected or the film.

  To simply connect to TV with no other device the TV must support DLNA and be connected to your network.  Once you have that in place, you can use the Play To feature to send content to the TV of any Windows 7 machine on your network.
