Player can not read files after transfer

Hello world. I'm using ubuntu 8.10, MSC mode.

My drive cannot read s mp3 I have tranfered on it. My computer can read and transfer files very well, but when I disconnect it the display freezes when updating of its database. I let it go for about 20 minutes, several times, still nothing.

What has not worked:

-now the Start button / stop for 15 seconds

-updated to latest firmware

-formatting and transferring all the files again

any ideas?

An update: form and using MTP mode with Rythymbox seems to have solved my problem. I am a user of Exaile, I couldn't PSG works with it before - that's why I was using MSC mode in the first place. Another player in the middle of a song by freezing twice yesterday (which he never did before) I can transfer and delete files very well. I think an update to Nautilus/GNOME must have broken something. I hope that this thread helps someone.

  • Startup problem; XP continuously restarts. Can not read files

    I have a problem starting with a computer that running Windows XP SP1a upgrade to SP3. It belongs to another Member of my family, which has switched off the power when a BOUNCING mouse problem has prevented the normal shutdown procedure.  At startup, it shows the screen boot options that if I choose "Safe Mode" or "Start Windows normally" it loads normally to the point where it shows the screen of flying windows for a while, becomes empty briefly, then restarts.

    I tried to leave, he in Repair Mode using the Windows Setup disc in the hope to repair the startup files, but have problems to read the files on the C; drive. If I try to look at the records, or change to a different folder, I get the error messages like "invalid drive specification" or "an error occurred during directory enumeration" I guess that's because the XP SP1a installation disc which I use can not handle the 80 GB hard drive and the NTFS file format.

    Is it possible I can get access to the boot files

    I solved the problem

    After the announcement of this question, I ran CHKDSK from the repair mode and it corrects an error in the file system, and I was able to start Windows.  As a precaution, I have since set a system restore to a few days point more earlier than when the problem occurred, and all goes well now.

  • Can not read files in Simulator

    I used a folder on my pc to the SD card file system.

    I used the following code to read the file that I copied to the shared folder. But the app could not find the file. In debug mode, it appears an error code 1003.

    Try
    {
    FileConnection fconn = (FileConnection) Connector.open ("file:///Media Card/my.xml");
    If (! fconn.exists ())
    {
    System.out.println ("the file do not exist!");
    }
    }
    catch (IOException e) {}
    System.out.println (e.getMessage ());
    }

    I also tried to use the FilePickerDemo which is an example of a project. The FilePickerDemo can navigate in the file but can not find the file my.xml either.

    Does anyone know where I could be wrong? I worked on this question since yesterday afternoon. Thank you very much!

    BTW, I use 8900 Simulator, Windows 7 Pro 32 bit Eclipse with the plug-in.

    The Simulator freezes after a while, it looks like a memory leak. Also, if I use the simulator of 9550's, it could be worse. The simulator of 8350's is the only does not freeze at any time. Anyone happens to know on this issue?

    Problem solved. The directory must be file:///SDCard/xxxxxx

    I misunderstood to file:///Media card/xxxxxxxx, since when I've explore it media, is what shows on the screen.

  • can not read files is mod more

    Hello

    "I think that ' since I upgraded to final cut pro and the new OSX, I can't read my files is a mod for all older projects that I've done.

    I connect etc, fcp detects files, the film is always black with no sound. How can it be resolved?

    Thank you and best regards. Kristof

    Had to look at this mod to the top: old mechanical Stoppers video consumer or Amiga file extension. You will probably need to find some obscure App video conversion that Final Cut Pro X has been out for five years. Earlier, you started using it?

    An article of the wiki:

    The first version of the format was created by Karsten Obarski for use in the Ultimate Soundtracker; Tracker software available for the Amiga computer in 1987. [1] [2] the format has since been supported by hundreds of playback programs and dozens of other trackers.

    The original version of the MOD format featured four channels of simultaneous audio playback, corresponding to the capabilities of the original Amiga chipset, and up to 15 instruments.

    Later variations of the format have extended up to 32 channels and 31 instruments.

    The format has been designed to be directly playable on the Amiga without additional processing: for example, samples are stored in 8-bit PCM format ready to be played on the Amiga DACs, and given on the profiles are not packed. Reading required very little time CPU on an Amiga, and many games used MOD files for their background music.

    Is wrong, is that the magic number "M.K." in the offset 0 x 438 of MOD files are the initials of Mahoney and Kaktus, two prominent Amiga most in time, who played an important role in the popularity of the format. They actually represent the initials of Michael Kleps alias unknown / DOC, another developer of the format. [3]

  • Blu Ray player can not read the DVD. It can read CDs and Blu Ray discs, but not DVD.

    Recently, I lost my hard drive.  Dell sent me a new disk with the drivers that came with the computer.

    I just noticed that my Blu Ray player is no longer playing DVDs.  I don't know if the hard drive crash has nothing to do with it, or if it's a coincidence.

    Windows says I have the latest driver.

    The computer is a Dell XPS 8300.   Is the Blu Ray player: bd - re bh30n hl-dt-st.

    The player has not served almost at all.   I read that there are the eyes for the Blu Ray vs DVD, then maybe the DVD part has failed.

    I'm always suspect that miss me a piece of software or a changed value.

    Any ideas?

    For all of you, the poor souls who shared my problem on the internet, I got beyond that.   Even though all said I had the latest driver, I found someone who said that they had downloaded a newer driver form the LG site and it fixed the problem.   Well, BH30N wasn't a model # on the LG site, but I found here: http://www.firmwarehq.com/download_1703-file_BH30N-A103.zip.html Norton said it was OK, I clicked on the EXE file, he said that he had me upgrade from A101 to A103 and suggested that I reload.   Once I did, my Blu Ray player will read the DVD fine.

  • Windows media player is anyway to get media player to recognize a zip file? I get the error message the media player can't read file - unrecognized codec?

    I'm on windows 7 latest model home of wmp - i have checked no update is available at this time

    Zip is a file format compressed - it can contain several files and folders inside. Windows Media Player will be able to play a Zip file. However, you can unzip the file (unzip) so that you can see its contents. If there is any right one media file, you will be able to read them.

    To unzip, right-click on the file and select extract all.

  • CD DVD player: can not read data DVD discs that burned same machine

    Laptop with Windows Vista cannot read data DVD discs that burned same machine.  The discs work on another computer.  My laptop will read CD disks, he did, and it will play DVD movies. What's wrong?

    Hello

    You have disk problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD &)
    Burn DVDs and CDs and read DVDs). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 parts to no function
    while others are doing so correctly.

    Burning at low speed, or by using the master could help. A CD/DVD cleaner
    could help.

    Brand of the CD or DVD drive can also be the problem. Low quality (cheap brands) are always
    issue.

    CD/DVDs have a tolerance + - and your can read/write on the outside edge
    tolerances of the disks. They may be delivered, but it is usually cheaper to replace
    the reader.

    ===========================================

    This troubleshooting might not help if there are problems of alignment and wear it
    is worth it.

    Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
    a process that solves the problem.

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
    Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
    RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

    Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
    cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

    Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then check the cables
    both ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean the
    power and data of the contacts with a pencil eraser.

    Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the system manufacturer
    and the manufacturer of the device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.
