  If we just save a PDF document, users with CD Player cannot sign because the option "digitally sign" in the upper part of the certificates bar is grayed out. According to other information that I read, the ability to sign with earlier versions of the player requires the PDF file to be registered as a Reader Extended PDF with the option enable the tools more. If I save the document in this way, our DC users can sign it. We took the latest version (2015.008.20082).   You can use fill & sign on documents without the form fields.

• Extend the rights of the player causing the Initialize event of draw twice?

  I have a few boxes, populated by scripts on their respective initialization events. Everything worked very well through development - except when I took the form of a group, I noticed that the drop-down lists were filling twice. I didn't was not using a clearItems () - should not need, right?

  So, it was something that I couldn't reproduce in decorator. Once the extended rights had been removed, the form executed as provided in Acrobat and Reader, too. Put the extended rights, and drop-down lists are double to fill in again. Take off extended rights, no misconduct, everythings fine. Extended rights on, bad dog no biscuit!

  Now, obviously I can get past this by using clearItems(), or by moving the preOpen scripts. However, I would like to know what the heck is the cause? Is this a bug? a known issue? or is it something caused by something in the form? I always assumed forms behave the same with or without extended rights. But it looks a lot like the Initialize triggers event twice when opening with extended rights.

  Any ideas out there?

  Hello Stephen,

  I encountered this before and thought that I had an "appropriate" response, but I'm not. I think that when player allowing the rights are applied by Acrobat form performs a check as part of the logon process. There seems to be a bunch of events that triggered twice when the form is active player (in Acrobat - I can't test if the form is activated in LC RE ES2).

  Here is an example showing how, when and in what order, events fire.  The form is at the end of the post (at http://cookbooks.adobe.com/post_How_often_events_fire_and_their_sequence-16547.html). There are 13 items in the form, the events are followed.

  When the form is not activated start looks at this (some events fire once as expected):

  

  When I apply the reader by activating rights via Acrobat, triggering events double for:

  • commissioning;
  • form: ready;
  • layout: ready
  • IndexChange;
  • docReady.

  

  An indicator of potentially, what happens is that, in the RE version, the preSave event fires (but not postSave event).

  I use a projector with my laptop with the projector set up under the extended desktop. This works with PowerPoint and other projection software that I use. However, when I try to show a video using Windows Media Player, it displays full-screen on the laptop. I know that I could use the display settings to change to extend to two copies, but I don't want to keep doing this, as much as most other operators is not as competent as users.

  Hello, I have just submitted the feedback as suggested. I referred to the Powerpoint option to select which monitor you want to run the slide show, which is what I'm after in Windows Media Player.

When I tried to open the form with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC I received the error "the document enabled extended in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC features.   I tried other PDF programs, no problem at the opening of this form.

  

  Function "Activation reader" comes from the original shape, and it's essentially a digital signature. It is specific for the free product of Viewer PDF by Adobe (aka Adobe (Acrobat) Reader).

  The problem is that only Adobe products are able to (re) make these documents without breaking the seal of the digital signature.

  So, what happened in your case is the Foxit Viewer broke the seal during the recording of back and what's. Using Acrobat, you can save a copy of the form, and then continue will fill. Otherwise, you will be better off to start over, but stay with viewers Adobe PDF all the time, working with the form, or with a different Viewer, once again all the time you work with the shape.

  BTW, player XI and most recent no. have more need of extended for more rights blocked by previous versions of Reader. This is not enough in this case; only, it would be useful for the sender of the form.

  It's a normal solution to do what you were doing as much as to stop when you get pretty close, but for accuracy, it is normal to force this last step to be the target values that were intended.  Something like...

• Twitch.TV HTML5 player causing the video driver crash

  Current video card is Radeon HD7800. This problem only appears when using Firefox to watch videos on the site of twitch.tv using the new HTML5 player.   I've just updated my operating system from Windows XP to Windows 7 Pro (SP1). I can't install Adobe Flash plugin for fire Fox and Seamonkey on Windows 7. I managed to install Flash internal Explorer, and Chrome.

  I have tried many remedies offered on your web site and various blogs - all without success. They included uninstalling Ad-blocking, suspending the firewalls and Antivirus systems, uninstall and reinstall Flash etc. I am currently on version 16 of Flash.

  With Windows XP Flash worked on all browsers without any problems. I use the same Dell 9200PC without modification.

  Is there any fix that I missed this annoying problem?

  The problem is now resolved, do not know how...

  I think it was the force gross, just kept asking read movies and returned to Adobe error report. Think I must have upset them enough!
