  I'm trying to download from itunes to an mp3 player. When I select some songs from my library, all songs from the album get selected. How can I select only the songs I want, and not everything that itunes selects?

  You do not have to tell us how you choose the songs you want, but no doubt you are in a view of songs. Select the first song, press and hold down the CTRL key and choose each additional song you want.

• Smart playlist files: overlap of the songs.

  It is not a problem in itself, but it's a technical quirk that I can't find any information for, on these forums or elsewhere.

  If I have 2 smart playlists, one for 'Top 50 most played' and one for 'Top 50 highest appreciation', there may be some songs that are in both lists. I want to know if I put both of these smart plsylists in a smart folder, and then play the file, the songs that are in two playlists play more often, or they all have an equal chance?

  i.e. If there are 25 most played songs, 25 songs that are the most appreciated and 25 others who are at the same time, each individual song have 1/100 chance of play, or 1/75 chance? (as there are 2 lists of 50 but only 75 songs).

  A playlist folder will have exactly one entry for each song that is in a confined playlists, no matter how many playlists, it is in, or if it is repeated in any of the regular lists. The number of copies in the playlists of the child cannot affect the random algorithm. If there are 75 songs in the playlist each folder a chance of 1/75 to be selected. (Ignoring the fact that iTunes can actually use a weighted algorithm to play higher rated the title more often.)

• I backed up my playlists M3U files before setting up a new computer, but even if music files are there, the playlists now show only a part of the music that was originally in the playlists. How can I get my playlists to work properly?

  Sorry in advance for the description potentially lengthy below.

  I have the latest version of iTunes on a Windows 10 computer with a processor i5, 8 GB of RAM and a lot of storage capacity.

  I recently updated my computer to the above specifications and installed a new SSD as my main and kept my old C drive as a new drive E drive.

  I backed up all my iTunes playlists as .m3u files export.

  Now that I have set up my computer and installed the latest version of iTunes (I think that I initially ran 9? Or?), my playlists import OK, but the majority of the songs that were in each playlist are not displayed, even if they are there when I see everything in 'My music', and they are in my iTunes folder.

  The selections are saved correctly I would say. When I opened the files as text files to check .m3u, good song lists are all in tact and the songs that do not appear in iTunes imported playlists are there in the .m3u.

  I tried to re - import playlists, as well as the copy of my music files to my different readers (including the same drive as the .m3u links to and those that they do not). Nothing seems to work. I spent years of compiling playlists are now empty or almost empty, and I can't find a reasonable solution to fix it.

  Must the .m3u files be .xml files? Is this a bug between versions of iTunes?

  Not sure if it's relevant, but my iPod Touch still has playlists on it. I hesitate to plug them in and try to sync because I don't want them crushed.

  Any help would be great, if you please.

  "Backup" individual playlists is not necessary and probably will not work in all cases.  All selections are stored in the iTunes (iTunes Library.itl) database and all approaches successful transfer, reproduce or modify your library depends on manipulation of this file correctly.

  If you haven't changed anything on the E: drive, you have nothing more that hold down the SHIFT key at startup of iTunes, then when you see this message:

  

  Select the iTunes (the file iTunes Library.itl ) on your E: drive database - if you use default iTunes, this will be in E:\Users\username\Music\iTunes.

  I am in the first week of my trial period of Apple's music, and I love it.  The only problem I had so far, is that when I try to play one of the playlists - or an album not in my library - she only mix the songs.   I'm not able to play the songs in the order.  Not a huge deal, but it looks like there should be a setting to fix it that I am not finding.

  On the view is on the air, there should be a couple of icons at the bottom for the random reading and re-reading or whatever his name. Looks like the shuffle button has been activated so try to press a second time to shuffle off. You can certainly play albums and playlists in order to track if you wish.

  Hello.  I was able to successfully get the media sync to work from XP on my 8830.  However, when I open a playlist I have synced, it displays "No. Songs."  If I have "expore" music files, I found a new "Media Sync" folder and playlist and songs are there and playable.  However, I can only see the playlist and cannot play or see the songs through the normal menus on my World Edition.  I appreciate any suggestions!

  Solved.

  I deleted all the old roxio folders while the Media Sync folder remained.  Re sync has all my music with Media Sync.  Battery of corn.  WAITED a few minutes and everything is good.

• How can I get only checked songs to play on my 6 s Iphone?

  Hello.  I recently got a new Iphone 6s, upgrade to a 5.  I'm not a huge phone guy, so I don't know a ton about the inner workings of the working of the machine.  That said, on my old phone, whenever I had a song that has been disabled, it wouldn't sync to my phone and would not play.  It was basically the system that I used to determine what I wanted to hear at any given time.

  Since I got my new phone, it seems that all my music playing on my phone, even uncontrolled songs.  I'm not 100% certain, but it seems that the uncontrolled songs are not synchronized, but play on the wifi.  I don't want that.  About 1000 of my 3000 songs are disabled because I don't want to hear them right now.  Either I downloaded them for work, or they are for my child, or that they are also there for a specific purpose... but I don't want to play when I put my music on shuffle, and I don't want to appear on the screen.

  Is there a way to make my new phone function as my old phone to this songs disabled are not displayed on my phone?

  Launch the music app, press the red button of artists in the top center of the screen. Go to only downloaded music > on.

  I'm using WMP 11. Had a problem with E260 (load image problem). Talked to support and problem solved. Now, when you try to synchronize my playlists, each song displays an error and used to synchronize playlists. My other player (different brand) synchronizes these playlists without problem. Everyone knows about this problem? Is there another way to get these playlists on the e260 in addition to the synchronization? I'd rather do without redoing these playlists as they are significant in size. I apologize in advance if this has been answered before, but I don't see anything close to this type of problem of playlist.

  Well what do you know. I had the error image has no charge again. I looked again through the forums and found a fix. I dropped the sansa.fmt folder into the 16 MB file to format the 260 again. Now it seems that everything works well (fingers crossed LOL). Thanks for the help everyone. I would have hated in the trash this small player, it has been a real workhorse for me.   Well, this laptop is really old so I m not wonder about this question. A battery can be recharged about 500 and when it runs out shortly after fully recharging the battery, the battery can must be replaced. You may need to buy a new battery.

  You can get a new form of battery to an authorized service provider. They can sell you all Toshiba spare parts and new battery, your laptop should work on battery power for a long time yet. ;)

  What is the problem?

  There is a setting on the iPod to repeat.  The choices for this setting are repeat Off (without repetition), all (repeat current list) and one (repeat current track).  Your iPod can be set to repeat one.

  If the iPod has a click wheel, the repeat parameter on the settings on the iPod screen.  Go ahead and repeat all or Offvalue.

  If the iPod is the current model touch screen (or previous gen 6), the setting is on the now playing screen.  The button looks like two arrows in a loop.  Tap to change the repeat setting.  See page 19 of the 7th gen iPod nano guide user (where it says repeat songs)

• Cycling - but only in song mode

  I just bought a pair of rockets to 4GB for my wife and my daughter.  Because I use a mac (don't worry, I don't have a ponytail) I used the method of the slide / move to get the mp3s to itunes.

  I put the songs on each album into separate folders, as well as an Art.jpg Album (according to the sandisk video).

  Select music by album, artist or genre that works very well, but for some reason any destinations by song just causes the "rocket" to scroll through all the songs without actually playing them. I noticed that in the selection of all securities have a track in front of them number (_01.songtitle, _02.songtitle, etc.) that do not appear in the selection by the other methods of the song, so I guess that it is probably a problem with the mp3 tags created by itunes.

  Great, thank you. Who did the trick. Had to connect using Windows to see (through BootCamp).

  The files were not in a separate folder, but the same folders as the MP3s themselves. Fortunately, they show as the ghost XP icons, so it is very easy to choose the right files for deletion.
