PlayStation 3 and WMP 12

I am trying to find a way to play music from my WMP 12 to my PS3, the follies is. My PS3 shows the artist records and even the songs when I go through it, but trying to play music it goes to the screen when the music plays, and he never plays. When its on this screen, the only thing I can press O is back in fact o records. Pressing triangle is not bring up the menu its supposed to. Now I have connected to the ps3 before and he played, but all of a sudden it won't do again.

Nevermind, I found out that I had to disable my AVG and then I could listen. So I found out how to add ps3 to avg let stream

  • Media Center and WMP 12 does not not my MP3 files, two strange errors

    Hi all

I am running Windows 7-64 bit. I have set up my Media Center and the folder where are all my songs. Then, I used the Media Center Extender to connect to my xbox. I went on the xbox and liked my music through my sound system.

Now, when I try to listen to my music on my computer Media Center or WMP 12, I get the following errors:

Media Center: the file you are trying to play (insert file path) is either corrupted missing or in a place that is currently not available

WMP12: Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The player might not support the file type or does not support the codec used to compress the file.

I can play my music on my PC with the help of another player as my Rhapsody Player. It seems to me that Media Center and WMP 12 does not like to play my .mp3

I'm leaning towards a problem with a codec, but how you updated codecs on WMP 12 and Media Center?

Or everyone does not think that there is another type of problem?

Good people. I figured this out, and I hope this will help some of you. I have his next card: Creative Labs Audigy 2 ZS

I went to control panel > Sound > playback > speakers

I went to the Advanced Settings tab and unchecked Audio enhancements allow

WMP12 restarted, a popup told me that there was an error with a plugin and disabled the plugin, and soon I was dancing on top of my desk.

  • MTP device recognised only by the Explorer and WMP on Windows 7 64-bit

I have a Creative Zen Vision: M 30 Gb Media Player.  When I plugged it, Explorer and WMP recognize it but none of the other programs that I have that support MTP can 'see '.  The specific programme, I care for are:

    Creative Sync Manager
Songbird 1.4.3 (I know, Songbird is not officially supported on Windows 7)

It's as if WMP is "hogging" it.  Do not play nice and let others programs to play with it.

I have already made sure that my MTP drivers are up to date.  Any ideas are appreciated.

    Hi skimbrie,

    Hi JeanNU
I hope you thought of it now - if not - the key is to install the update to Windows Media Player by using Internet Explorer security using the "Run as Administrator".
This by doing a right click on Internet Explorer and choosing the "run as Administrator" mode.
    Then open this page:
    http://drmlicense.one.Microsoft.com/Indivsite/en/indivit.asp
    and choose the upgrade option.

I got information on how to do it here:

  • connection playstation 3 with WMP on windows 7

    Hello

I use to be able to connect my playstation 3 to my computer wireless when using vista. Have upgraded to windows 7 and am wrong now to connect to the ps3

I use my ps3 as a media server to the TV for wmp

    Could someone help?

    regards David

    Hi Browie,

-What exactly happens when you try to connect your PS3 to your computer?

    -Is detected on your computer?

-You receive an error message when connecting?

However, you can follow the steps below and check if it helps you connect the playstation 3 on your computer for multimedia streaming.

Before I continue I suggest you note the MAC address of your Playstation 3

You can find the MAC address of the PS3 in

    (1) system setting > system information

    (2) network settings. (Scroll down)

Once you note down the address Mac, then on your computer, go to control panel > network and sharing Center > advance change sharing settings.

In advance the sharing page settings make sure you discovered the network and file sharing & printer is activated.

After turning on the network discovery and file sharing & printer, click streaming media options.

Once you are finished, you will see a window of sharing multimedia files.  In the fall of devices Show bar, select all networks. Then you'll see some unknown device / devices. Double-click each unknown device to see the MAC address of the device.

If the address matches the MAC address of the PS3 then allow this device for media sharing and check if you are able to connect your Playstation 3 to your computer.

I hope this helps. Let us know the results.

    Thank you and best regards,

  • PLAYSTATION 3 and WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER

I want to install windows media player on my playstation 3 to be able to watch documentaries online since I don't have the cable to connect my pc to my tv.

If this is not possible, I was wondering if there is a way to connect the wireless computer to display with threw the playstation3 on the TV console. Thanks for the help

    Hello Kokokos,

You will need enable the media to share on WMP for sharing with the PS3.  Here are the steps to do so below.   Another option is to install VLC on PS3 and these steps are shown in the link I provided here.
    http://boardsus.PlayStation.com/PlayStation/board/message?board.ID=ps3media&thread.ID=30857

All you need to do is turn on your ps3.

have the windows media player 11 is installed.

In windows media player, go to tools > options > library

Click on the share button configuration.

You should see peripheral unknown or Ps3 listed there.

    Click on allow.

You can play with the settings.

    It's her!

Back to your ps3 and search for servers!

    I hope this helps you.

I have a simple philosophy: just assume everyone is a piece of c.r.a.p. and then be pleasantly surprised if you find someone who is not.

I just my Fuze 8 GB and I'm going crazy trying to create several playlists. The instructions are for an older version on WMP, so do not wear

I need to set up several playlists with different tracks on each of them. All tracks are on my laptop and can access via WMP, but for some reason I don't seem to be able to create new lists of reading, or maybe I do it not right? (I hope will appear under the playlists option)

Any guidance would be most appreciated! (not as easy as the Ipod Nano!)

    I appreciate your comments...

Well I reset all my settings to factory, all deleted records on WMP and while I was playing in the hour pasy or so I've read elsewhere how to try to change the USB mode can help, so I tried and passed the MSC to MTP and hey presto, all the playlists, I created in WMP appeared under playlists on the "rocket"...

So this might help others too!

  • Can play.wma files fully but only seconds of .mp3 files on a home network with Windows 7 and WMP 12.0.7601 wireless

    Hello community,

I have a problem with Windows Media Player 12.0.7061 when I try to listen to music through my home network Windows 7.  Windows Media Player has no problem playing the media all types of files locally on the Windows 7 system.  On my home network, .wma files play well through the (Pioneer) wireless speaker, but .mp3 and .mp4 files only play for the first ~ 5 seconds and then the audio stops.  If I wait long enough, Windows Media Player will skip to the next song and continue to play the .wma file.

Is this a problem of DRM?  My home wireless network is too slow to allow .mp3 or .mp4 fully transmit the wireless speaker?

    Thank you!

Problem dealt with.  It's a problem of bandwidth of wireless network.

  • Sansa Clip is not display or play WMP and Explorer Windows files are on it

I used the Clip fortunately because I first had and managed to put in place.  I keep a large stock of podcasts on it and update the element using WMP sync several times a week when the podcasts are updated.

I installed the 1.01.29 updated firmware when it came out.  (From Windows Explorer it shows as 1.01.29A for some reason any.)

Since then, many of the podcasts that I already had on the Clip, which I listened to several times, became invisible and unplayable on the Clip.  However, I can see them in Explorer Windows and WMP, for example from the view of the Albums.  (I don't know why the synchronization WMP process puts podcasts on the Clip of music, rather than podcasts, but I don't really like).

I deleted all the files, reformatted the Clip and put the files back on.  Same story.  I also tried the addition of files that don't have no/plan lounge pulling them to the Windows Explorer.  Same story.

The really strange thing is is not random which arise and which don't.  All the podcasts in German, old and new, two web sources, view and play very well.  All podcasts new and French I had do not show in the display of the item.  Front of 1.01.29 all the files from the two sources has shown / played very well (with one exception, which I will post on separately.)

Does anyone else have this?  Any ideas?  Can I send sample files which work and which don't work for Sansa support if requested.

Place podcasts in the podcast folder, or make sure that the tag ID type is set to Podcast.
