  I have a HP Officejet Pro L7580 - connection with laptop Dell and Windows Vista PC.  I did not have printing problems, but has been unable to fax or scan.  I uninstalled the software and put back in place to make sure I had the latest software and compatibility for Vista.  I can now fax but when I try to scan, I get the following error: No analysis Options - refer to device documentation to troubleshoot issues - only, there is no documentation of the device...

  When I went to the HP site to install the latest version of the software, I've installed the full functionality & driver software... guess I thought that this would have everything that I need, but it seems that the software of HP Imaging Device functions was not installed...

  I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your 15 HP Pavilion Notebook and brightness does not properly. I see that if you change the balanced power plan options option in the book will help. Here is a link that will help you. Go to your power options.
  Select balance, then click on change plan settings. Click on change advanced power settings. Then save changes. Sometimes just changing and selecting apply it and change it back solves this problem.

  You can try to use the Windows Update Troubleshooter to fix updates that do not come through Windows 8.  Please restart the laptop twice to make sure that all updates are completed!

  You can also try:

  In Device Manager, click the arrow next to display adapters to expand this category
  Right-click on the graph, and then select Update driver software if more than 1 graphic adapter do 1 at a time.
  Select search automatically for updated driver software.

  The laptop must find and automatically install the updated driver
  Once the installation is complete, restart your laptop.

  The software for the HP Photosmart C3180 scanning and printing is included in the OS SnowLeopard.  I don't know what the problem with your situation, you should be OK.  Please do not reinstall the older HP software, simply use the new software, which is included in 10.6.

  I recently bought a computer that has vista pre-installed.

  I don't have a vista disc.

  MY PROBLEM;

  I installed all the updates of windows available, then my computer was working fine, I turned it on the next day, just to find that it comes up with.

  "CONFIGURATION UPDATES 3/3 0%" AND RESTARTS THE SAME SCREEN!

  I left it on for hours with no joy...

  IT DON'T ME LEAVE EVEN IN SAFE MODE WITH CMD! I DON'T HAVE ALL THE DISKS TO FIX IT! AND IT IS NOT A STARTUP REPAIR! WHAT SHOULD I DO?

  the computer has a drive like a netbook?

  If you have tried to boot from a USB key (which is bootable), are you sure that you have followed the
  instructions for the configuration that the disk and in the BIOS? If so, then the computer has
  other problems and you need help of the machine system.
