Please help me with my blue screen of death

Hey there im not warned at all first pc, so you will have to walk me through things to get the info well :) sorry.

So I brought a hand 2nd pc for a few months now and I play a game online and not all the time but sometimes it will freeze and back, and a small error in a box by the time and date appears saying something like "display driver NVIDIA windows kernel mode driver, has stopped responding and recovered. But sometimes he goes to the BSOD and its really starting to get worried. Now, I looked on the NVidia site and other forums but no answers or even any I can understand I have taken some steps that a few people have said to do, 1 is I did ensure that the driver is updated and is also cleaned installs a million times, 2 restored of the pilot, 3 has changed the graphics settings to lower levels and stuff , but nothing has worked so far sometimes I usually get a BSOD for weeks and sometimes, I get 5 times a day.

It's the basis of it don't know if that is all the information you need help (im guessing not) but ill try to help your help me best I can

Oh my current video card is also a GeForce 9500 GT im running windows 7 64-bit Intel (r) core (TM) 2 duo CPU E700 @ 2.80 GHz and 4 GB of ram do not know if this is useful

Please read about your BCCode: 116.

"It is not a true crash, in the sense that the blue screen was launched only because the combination of material and video driver video was to be insensitive and not because of any exception processing synchronous".

Since Vista, the components of "Timeout detection and recovery" (TDR) of the subsystem video OS have been able to do some really impressive things to try to find issues that would have led to the earlier OS like XP to crash.

As a last resort, the TDR subsystem sends a video driver command "Please restart you now!" and wait a few seconds.
If there is no answer, the BONE concludes that the combo of driver/hardware video has really collapsed in a heap, and it fires at this stop 0 x 116 BSOD.

*
If playing with video driver versions did not help, make sure that the box is not overheated.
If you have a desktop computer, try removing a side panel and a sector large fan directly to the motherboard and GPU.
Run it like that for a few hours or days - long enough to check whether the cooler temperatures make a difference.

If so, it could be as simple as dust accumulation and inadequate cooling afterwards.
*
I download cpu - z and gpu - z (both free) and keep an eye on the video time

    Hello

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

It's my generic how updates of appropriate driver: (look for the BIOS and driver
    updates.)

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded: run DriverView - define the VIEW
for the drivers Microsoft hide - updated those without drain in their names. (Also updated
    the BIOS and chipset drivers.)

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on
your system. For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed:
load address of the driver, description, version, name of the product, the company that
    created the pilot and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit system Maker as replacements and manufacturer device which are the
most up-to-date. Control Panel - Device Manager - Display Adapter - write it down
and complete the model of your video - double click - tab of the driver card-
Note the version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this can do nothing
that MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT it
    will update the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard
If there are 3rd party with their own software and drivers and the other main device drivers
    you have.

Now, go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restore)
and site (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get the manufacturer and device
their latest versions. (Look for the system to update the BIOS, Chipset and software updates
    Site of the manufacturer here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN -.
    REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you are
installation actually appears. This is because that some rollback of drivers before the
later is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so to install a driver - restart
-check that it is installed and try again if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW to the device makers DO NOT RUN THEIR
SCANNER - check manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htm

Installation and update of drivers under Windows 7 (updated drivers manually using
the above methods is preferable to ensure the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system
    and device manufacturers are located)
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable driver facilities
in the updates of Windows, which leaves on Windows updates, but it will not be installed
pilots who are generally older and cause problems. If updates provides a new
driver then hide it (right click on it) and then go get new ones manually if
    you want.

  • Blue Screen Of Death with Windows Vista

I am running Windows Vista and after trying to update a NVIDIA Geforce driver, my computer will not start at the top and comes up with the "blue screen of death/Disconnections. Initially it started, but icons were very large and I could finally get the right size. Thought that there was a problem with the driver compatibililty and deleted driver (I think), not knowing that I would not be able to find the original driver. Restarted and it is when I got the dreaded "BSOD" and knew with my computer knowledge, I was in trouble. Tried to reboot and then restart with the Windows disk, with the same results. Past to start in safe mode, normal mode, etc... and does not boot in any mode, when eneter is pushed (of your choice) Unit acts as if it starts successfully, with the small bar down Center of screen scrolling as it should, but then the BOSD rises. Support, not much luck, worked with NVIDIA replaced card video, restarted, same result. Need help please.

    Hi TheCookeNinja,

I suggest you run the check disk (chkdsk) of the Recovery Console & check if you are able to boot to the desktop correctly.

Step 1: To start the Recovery Console, you can follow this link.

To start the computer and use the Recovery Console

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/recovery_console_overview.mspx?mfr=true

Step 2: At the Recovery Console prompt, type the following command and then press ENTER:

    CHKDSK [/ p]: [/ r]

Note: At first, try to run chkdsk/p & check if it helps. Later, you can run chkdsk/r.

After the reboot, Windows does not detect my second monitor more, I tried my best but no luck, please me have this problems.

Personal laptop is limited to the installation of other equipment, graphic monitor (s) push resources. If ram memory

is maximally, & the BIOS settings are set to a different monitor, Direct X updates, graphics software are updated, then

We should be able to run a reg monitor... Chk, go in run or cmd, type: DXDIAG run Direct X.

Also, the BIOS settings are critical, uninstall the default, add new ones.

  • Blue screen of death, the Satellite M100

    Hello

I have Satellite M100, we had problems with the blue screen of death sometimes and then it seemed fairly constant and the only way to ensure that the system is not plant was to start it in safe mode.

The noise had also stopped working. Decided to restore the factory settings system used the disk and everything goes well until the system started in windows allows you to go through the installation program then blue screen again. The sound seems to have returned, although it is slightly crispy.
So don't know if this is the problem or not. Unrecoverable system error crashes and also driver_irql_not_less_or_equal.

Now cannot start in safe mode as the windows installation did not finish...

    Any ideas anyone?

    See you soon

    Hello Simon

If BSOD is displayed after the installation of recovery, it may be a serious physical issue.
Try installing the OS using the recovery discs. If the problem persists I think it's time to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider.

Maybe someone has the same? Can be any solution to this problem? I think because of the laptop is a new... maybe there's sth with RAM?

    Hello clotidle

Well, it very difficult to tell what the problem is.
I don t think that the BIOS is wrong because as a wrong
The BIOS update procedure has damage to the motherboard and it is not possible to run or start anything.

    Sorry I n t have a proper answer.
In my opinion, you should contact Toshiba service partner because I don t think that you will solve this problem yourself.

PS: You can downgrade the BIOS t.
Only the AEP has a possibility to do so.

    Good bye

  • Constant blue screen of death without answers

I had a constant problem several times a day with a blue screen of death, and Microsoft has no answers.

I bought the last Windows 7 Ultimate edition teacher and yet when I try to enter the code it tells me it has 'expired' which makes no sense at all. If I'm relegated to this forum or pay $49 an hour to find out why Windows 7 sucks worse than any other edition I've ever known.

I checked everything (I built the machine myself, so I'm not stupid on computers) and made sure that all drivers, bios and everything is up-to-date. There is NO hardware conflicts.

The problem seems worse if I discover videos or use Windows media player, but even if I did not, I had no warning and suddenly, "BAM!" I get the countdown to 100 and it is stuck on the blue screen with a note saying "contact your administrator for more information.

When I check the error log it says that the error is in Windows 7 in an "unknown problem".

No data is ever passed to Windows for some reason any (which is really pissing me off because all other versions of Windows ALWAYS sent to the data to Microsoft before) except from time to time, but there is never a reference where the problem relates to.

I spent a lot of money on this motherboard 790 - FX-GD70 MSI and a 6 core AMD processor. I have 16 GB of memory and it should be a State-of-the-art computer and it acts like a Windows 95 machine.

    Any suggestions?

I was not able to say anything on their part and I had MSI look on them and they say they are "inconclusive" as to what the problem is.

Errors are varied and seem to point to a hardware problem.

Can you do the following? :

Start > type eventvwr in the box "search programs and files", then press 'Enter' > expand "Custom views" and right click then "administrative events' > select ' save all events in a custom view as" and save it as a .evtx file

Then do the .evtx file available via Windows Live SkyDrive.
