"Please insert the disk" drama, but he had to get the USB files

Hello
I tried to do some homework and generally save them on my USB disk of 4 GB, up to our days, the car worked well (even when the phone fell off my bed and the USB it folded kind of last night). I went to school and used without any problems at all until a class when I logged on a computer and it told me that the message "insert a disk in the drive removable (E)", I had not thought much of it because the pc to school can be quite slow at times. Went home and have encountered the same problem, had not actually saved a good copy on my laptop so there is mistake no. 1. So I googled the problem found some solutions and none have worked so far, I can understand that it works perhaps not properly because it folds (but could be fixed / back into place, the damage wasn't bad at all).
Is there anyway that I can my laptop to read the USB so I can extract the files it contains, if I can actually do my homework?
I'd appreciate any help at all because this assignment due tomorrow and even if it is a heavy task to write again I really want to solve the problem,
Thank you.

Your USB may have been permanently damaged.

Try this program to extract the assignment thereof:

http://www.SnapFiles.com/get/Recuva.html

Recuva is a file undeletion tool that allows you to analyze your hard drives or media cards for files that have been deleted or formatted. It presents you a list of files that have been found, as well as an assessment of their potential for recovery, a preview option, and a hex viewer to inspect the content. You can limit your search to files of a certain type (e.g. images, audio etc.) and choose between a quick and a thorough analysis approach. The program also includes a secure deletion option that allows you to permanently delete files that were found while parsing, to avoid any future recoveries.

See you soon.

    Hi NoOneSpeciale,

It is very possible that your CD may be damaged.  Is it possible to get another copy to try on your machine? Or try this copy on another machine to see if it works or not.
Also check in control panel--> system--> for you Device Manager make sure that there is no yellow/red icon next to the CD player and it's function correctly.

Don't know if you've discovered this done yet for you, but I would say it is your usb flash drive. It happens when he is out BEFORE you used the 'Safely remove' icon on the taskbar.

If it is, then you must copy any information on the USB key to another location and format the USB. Then you can copy the info on it and you're right to go!

This will continue to happen sometimes even though you have the properties/policies defined in a quick deletion. I got mine the value of the radio button performance and ALWAYS use the icon REMOVE safe in your taskbar. Once you find that your data will be corrupted if is not removed properly, even if the ssd is supposed to be "hot." If you have a usb key that has a light on it, wait for the light to STOP BLINKING before removing it. If you do not have a light on this issue, it is always advisable to wait a second or two after the popup window say you that it is save to remove your USB.

  • Error: "Please insert the disk:" - customer-delivery - ppd.xrm - ms ".

I'm trying (for over a month now) to install FSX on my machince to Windows Vista.  I have more to satisfy the standard requirements for installation.

I installed FSX successfully a couple of weeks.  However, the activation code provided in the package was "invalid".  The activation of product in the FSX folder open-therefore, I have found a number of phone, but without opening the application, I did have an activation screen number.  So, I could play for no more than 30 minutes.

I uninstalled FSX to try to reinstall and activate.  Now, when I'm in the installation phase, disc 1 is complete, and almost all of disc 2 ends when I get the following pop up: "Please insert the disk:  It is not a disc number, that's all just empty.  The file that it is stuck with trying to install is "C:\".... "Licenses\client-deliverance - ppd.xrm - ms.  (I have a Windows Vista activated, so I don't know why it's having a hard time to verify the license, if it, in fact, that this file is trying to do.)

I did a system restore, and I still get the same message when installing.

Any ideas or advice on fixing it?  Next steps?  And, I can't reinstall Windows.  I lost the software.

2nd problem: whenever I restart my computer or shut it down and then power up the white bar that moves from left to right only moving to halfway through and then stops. I then have to hold the power button in until the computer turns off again and then rehit the power button. When it starts to power back up the white bar is always in the Middle, but then begins to finally complete the passage to the far right of the box. This problem started when I loaded the software for my printer Canon MX870 new that I bought and installed in October 2010 and has been done since then. I removed and reloaded the software of the printer on three different occasions but the problem persists.

    Hi Robert,.

Thanks for the screenshot of your system information.

As you can see in the screenshot, on the right side, the Description indicates that this is a CD-ROM drive, it means that it's a player-CD (Read Only Memory) which can only read the discs, but cannot write data to the disk. You may need to replace it with a CD/DVD burner drive for read/write drives.

Hope this information is useful. If you have any additional questions on the issue, please post back, we will be happy to help you.

  • Request for emergency assistance. -CS6 adobe Master Collection - please insert the disc

Our company has downloaded Adobe CS6 Master Collection for deployment on our image master this year.

When you try to install using the files we downloaded and ran the disk hard that the installation said "Please insert the disk", it should not be necessary, as I already have all the files required to install on my computer.

I need a quick fix to what I have to get this master image made and deployed next week or two and I have hundreds of machines to do on.

It's a clean install and so there is no problem of compatibility with previous programs, I tried looking for installs it individual programs themselves in cases without success, I had a similar problem with the Autodesk products that I solved it by installing the trial version and then upgrade to version full immediately after installation. I have not tried that with this problem but I'm sure there is a better way to solve the problem. At least I hope there is. Please get back to me as soon as possible with this because I have to get this sorted out within a very tight timeframe.

    Original title: settlers 3 troubleshooting

I had the settlers 3 gold edition installed on windows 7 Home premium 32-bit. After having extracted the files now, I try to run the game by autorun icon, a new window opens with options 'install new/edit' and a few others, but everything by clicking on one of the icons I get the same error of "settlers edition Gold 3 cd not found.» Please insert the cd and try again. »
Please guide me how to solve the problem if you have any solution for this.

    Thank you

    Hi Bulech,

Settlers 3 gold edition is not listed in the Windows 7 Compatibility Web site. It may or may not be compatible. Take a look. Clickhere .

However, you can follow these steps and check if it helps to solve the problem for you.

    Step 1:

I suggest, instead of just click on icons, you right click on the .exe file and run as administrator.

    Step 2:

If it is little help, you can run settlers 3 gold edition in Windows Vista compatibility mode .

    Step 3:

Alternatively, you can run the game in compatibility problems solving

To run the troubleshooting program compatibility Troubleshooter

    a. open the resolution of the problems of compatibility of programs by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type troubleshooting, and then click Troubleshooting. Under programs, click on run programs for previous versions of Windows.

    b. follow the directions contained in the resolution of the problems.

    c. using a copy of the program CD.

  • Transfer problem - files Transfer Wizard says "Please insert the disc 1'... If I select OK it tells me the wrong disc is in the pc"

I did a PC Restore on my Dell, I saved my files on USB 3... now it's time to download them again, the transfer Assistant tells me that "transfer is underway" and files are "fly through the window". But another window appears on the screen telling me "Please insert the disc 1'... If I select OK it tells me that the wrong disk is in the pc... it isn't." The transfer takes an age without a movement minute on the bar "load..." Any suggestions?  Kind regards.

Did you just copied the files to USB devices or did you use some kind of backup software?

If the latter, what is the name of the application?

If the former can, you go to (at least one of) files on the USB key (for example, to open it)?  And what happens if you try to just copy one of the files (and use 'copy' rather than 'move' to ensure that the file on the USB device is not removed).
