The message reads: Dear customer: your Windows Live Mail account has exceeded its limit and must be checked, is not verified within 24 hours, we will suspend your account. Click here___. to check your email account now. Thank you Windows Live 2011 Microsoft. I will not further with their request for information.
Can you let me know if this is an authentic email from windows live team?
It is not Microsoft. It is a public-to-peer forum of mutual support where questions are asked and answers to Windows 7 users.
No one here is able to check that the spam you received is, indeed, spam, but it does not look like it. There are many like her all the time.

It is a common phishing e-mail - it's bin.
The idea is in the links embedded in the headers of enamel and the request for information by e-mail
Sites form of legitimate emails will NEVER ask for personal information by e-mail (unless you started the conversation) - they STILL will be asked to log in and do what is necessary.
