PLS-00565: must be filled as a target of REF (object type)
11 GR 2
---------------
Why do I get below error? I google search, but I did not understand the reason. can you please explain more clearly. Thank you
CREATE or REPLACE TYPE 'A' as object)
x_ number,
y_ varchar2 (10),
Members procedure to_lower
);
ORA-06545: PL/SQL: compilation error - abandoned compilation
ORA-06550: line 7, column 1:
PLS-00103: encountered the symbol "CREATE".
ORA-06550: line 0, column 0:
PLS-00565: must be filled as a target of REF (object type)
It's one of the things that confuses many people.
The problem is that; is used in two ways.
When you type a normal SQL command, it means the end of the statement in SQL * more
and actually run the command. Then
Select *.
from table_a
with x = 'Y ';
goes on three lines and it is the semi colon which means its end and run it.
When you have the code (type, procedure, trigger, etc.) it's just a terminator of instruction
create or replace procedure x
as
number of v_dummy; -Terminator of instruction - does not cause the execution/compilation.
Start
Select x
in v_dummy
of y; -Terminator of instruction - does not cause the execution/compilation.
end; -Terminator of instruction - does not cause the execution/compilation.
/
Now the ' / ' is the thing which the compilation.
Unfortunately "/" can also be used in SQL * more instead of two points at the end of things and allow execution of semi
Select *.
from table_a
with x = 'Y '.
/
run this statement.
Then
Select *.
from table_a
with x = 'Y ';
/
it run twice (once from; once due to /)
So, in summary, don't you do not put a "/" after each comma, after those where it is necessary to
the compilation, which will be the top of my head,
packages, procedures, functions, triggers, types. There may be others.

Hi gurusI created an object type and able to fill the values in it, now I want to create a nested table type of this object and fill it but looks like I'm doing something wrong, see my code below.
Code example

Concerning

Hi user,
Here is another method that you can try-
CREATE OR REPLACE
ABC of the PROCEDURE
IS
v_print countries_t: = countries_t (countries_o('01','A',11));
BEGIN
DBMS_OUTPUT. Put_line (v_print (1).) COUNTRY_ID | v_print (1). COUNTRY_NAME | v_print (1). REGION_ID); -you're accessinf the first element of the nested table, which in turn points to the object.
END;
In the sections of the declaration you have assigned values to the nested table.
Kind regards

OK, so you have a software firewall (IPTables) running. By default, it will not be configured to accept connections on port 1521. You have two options...
(1) disable the firewall completely. Run these commands to do this...
stop /etc/init.d/iptables
chkconfig iptables off
The first command stops the service. The second command prevents revived at every restart of the OS.
(2) add an exception to the firewall for port 1521. I'm not a Linux expert, but it should be something like this...
Change the configuration of IPTables with vi...
VI/etc/sysconfig/iptables
Add a new rule as follows...
-A of ENTRY m state - state NEW-m tcp tcp - dport 1521-j ACCEPT Pei
Save and close, and then restart the IPTables service...
/etc/init.d/iptables restart
NOTE: you must always change the name of this server to something other than "localhost".

The filling here continues to display the object behind (the stright line). How can I make it opaque and not show any object or lines behind it? Thank you!
I can help to see the Panel layer and the appearance Panel. My guess is the line object has no fill and so you can see the red fill of the object behind it. In other words, if filling Red must be on top of this line, then this object should be moved either forward or at least a superior to the purpose of the line. The best way to do is to drag the object in the layers panel. Move the layers brought forward and down the layers he moves backward. So, the Red layer should be above the line layer.
But that's a guess, since I can't see your layers or appearance panels.

If your entry for "ORCL" tnsnames decided to 'contact' indicated info. He tried to send a ping packet to the server identified by "(HOST = host1.example.com)". " Oracle tns transmitted the request to the network stack of BONES for the resolution and routing. It's the only tns configuration file that is important for the problem at hand. And we already knew what he said, since the output of your command of tnsping.

Is "host1.exampl.com" the real hostname of your machine "host1"? Or you made that blur in your ad - thing quite legitimate to do this for security reasons.
Whatever, this is not really a matter of tns, unless of course 'host1.example.com' is really what you put in the tnsnames file, but your server "host1" became really something else.
Assuming that 'host1.example.com' is the correct value, debugging starts with the following:
[oracle@host2 admin] $ ping host1.example.com
[oracle@host2 admin] $ tracerout host1.example.com

Force an order in which LOV or the attribute must be filled.
Experts in the morning,
I have a case, I LOV 5 attributes, I have them set up so that each list in the menu dropdown is dependent on what is selected in the attribute above it, for example, if you select the attribute top of 'Region' in Europe, you will see no country in Europe to the LOV below him.
What I need to do, is make sure that the second attribute and attributes of 4th and 5th 3rd later cannot be selected until the respective attribute above it has been filled.
If the 2 attribute cannot be filled unless attribute 1 has been selected.
Attribute 3 cannot be filled unless the attribute 2 has been selected and so on...
Thanks in advance for your help.
Jamie.
Jamie, tell us your version of jdev, please!
Each of the LOV components store their value in storage represented by the value property. If nothing is selected, the value must be null or empty. If a value is selected (and autosubmit is true) value is not empty. You can use this information to disable subsequent LOV on the page by assigning has disabled the property to an EL as disabled = ' #{empty bindings.myLov1.inputValue) ' where myLov1 the storage of your LOV. This you can do it in any depth.

Shortcut - right click - Properties-'Target' - I can not type in "target".
I just bought a dell with Windows 7 netbook. I want to install a game called Guild Wars. Like most fans of the knowledge in game, you can download the full game client and updates, by adding the command - image at the end of the "target" under properties after right click on the shortcut of Guild Wars. I managed to install the game but I can not type in the box 'target' to type - image at the end of the directory (C: / /... - imag) if anyone can help me with this problem I would really appreciate it. Once more, the question is, how can I do if I can actually type in the box "target"?
It is compatible with Windows 7 (at least Windows 7 64-bit).
In any case, this happens because of the way Guild Wars creates a shortcut on your desktop. What you can try to do, is make a new shortcut on the desktop and add the parameters you need in this way. Good luck.

Discoloration between the fill and the outline of an object
I created an object and normally have very smooth lines. However, I noticed that this object has a slight discoloration between the border of the Fill and Stroke. The discoloration is a slight yellowish tint despite the stroke and fill being red + black.
Is it possible to fix this? Included is a picture of the question with the sign of the appearance of the form (which was originally an ellipse before applying the Ark)
Is this just anti-aliasing? If so, is there a reason why it is yellowish? If I can't solve this problem, it displays when printing?
Guy,
I think that it is the object of yellow background showing through. It should disappear if you uncheck the Anti-Aliasing, and it should not display.

Note:-I'm trying to follow the blog by Jobinesh http://www.jobinesh.com/2011/02/creating-custom-history-types.html
Also, in the method of getHistoryContextForAttribute(AttributeDefImpl attr) of CustomEntityImpl, how I'll call columns of type story newly created?
Also, how can I distinguish if this event is create or update?
See you soon

Hi AJ,.

Need the difference between strong Ref Cursor and weak Ref Cursor examples
Oracle 9.2
It would be great if someone can help understand the differences between
1 Strong Ref Cursors(return type)
and
2. weak Ref Cursor (no return type)
What I read is weak ref Cursor as sys_refcursor is better to use the ref Cursor, because in the case of slider strong Ref object type that will be returned must be declared in advance. It dosent make sense to me?
I start with the examples would be appreciate for advice
Strong Ref Cursor
create the package str_pack
is
type sref_type is ref cursor return emp % rowtype;
SVAR sref_type;
end str_pack;
Create procedure st_proc (eid in number, c1 on str_pack.sref_type)
is
Start
Open c1 to select empno, ename, sal from emp where empno = eid;
end;
declare
str_pack.sref_type C1;
type rec is RECORD (eid, ename varchar2 number (20), number of sal);
SheikYerbouti rec;
Start
st_proc(10,C1);
loop
When exit c1% notfound;
Fetch c1 into SheikYerbouti.
end loop;
Close c1;
end;
There could be errors in the above example but its basically to get a better understanding.
For weak Ref Cursor
procedure of the child
Create procedure child_proc (in number, c1 on sys_refcursor eid)
is
Start
Open c1 to select empno, ename, sal from emp where empno = eid;
end;
parent process
Create procedure parent_proc (recnum varchar2)
is
p_retcur sys_refcursor;
emp_row emp % rowtype;
Start
child_proc (eid, p_retcur);
loop
extract the p_retcur in emp_row;
dbms_output.put_line(emp_row.empno ||) e '|| emp_row. Ename | "wins". emp_row. SAL);
end loop;
end parent_proc;
Concerning
@Hello
the fundamental difference is to do with the compiling and linking of runtime type that occurs.
The he should explain a lot more detail than I could ever!

Cannot run the XMLFromQuery function

I am not able to execute sql queries using XDB service
My wsdl is

Kind regardsI wonder how can we get response from the web service functions or procedures returning multiple lines
You must bring the function (or proc) returns an object type encapsulating your collection type instead.

PLS-00362: Invalid cursor return type; 'NUMBER' must be a record type
Hello
Having a little trouble with the following code example provided to http://www.dba-oracle.com/plsql/t_plsql_cursor_variables.htm:
In the code above, SELECT COUNT (*)... returns a NUMBER. I know it's an aggregation function, but it returns a single value.1 DECLARE 2 TYPE t_ref_cursor IS REF CURSOR RETURN NUMBER; 3 c_cursor t_ref_cursor; 4 l_row NUMBER; 5 BEGIN 6 DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line('Strongly typed REF CURSOR using SCALAR type. Expect an error!'); 7 OPEN c_cursor FOR 8 SELECT COUNT(*) cnt 9 FROM cursor_variable_test; 10 LOOP 11 FETCH c_cursor 12 INTO l_row; 13 EXIT WHEN c_cursor%NOTFOUND; 14 DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line(l_row); 15 END LOOP; 16 CLOSE c_cursor; 17* END; 18 / TYPE t_ref_cursor IS REF CURSOR RETURN NUMBER; * ERROR at line 2: ORA-06550: line 2, column 24: PLS-00362: invalid cursor return type; 'NUMBER' must be a record type ORA-06550: line 2, column 3: PL/SQL: Item ignored
Why can't return a value in a column of a row in a NUMBER?
How can I change the SQL code so that I can do this?
Furthermore, I wonder about the use of FETCH with a count (*)... FETCH is supposed to fetch the next row... How it works when you select an aggregate as County?
Thank you very much

The exception is in line 2: your cursor statement. And the answer is in the text that you access

The return value of a strongly typed REF CURSOR must be a folder that can be defined using % TYPE % ROWTYPE attributes or record structure.

You said the CURSOR to return a NUMBER. And as the text says, he must be a 'record '.

Furthermore, I wonder about the use of FETCH with a count (*)... FETCH is supposed to fetch the next row... How it works when you select an aggregate as County?
>
As you said already FETCH retrieves the next line, if any. A query is a request is a request. It returns a result set. A query that uses aggregates returns a result set. A query that does not aggregate returns a result set.Your simple COUNT (*) SELECT query returns a result set that consists of a LINE and a line a ONE COLUMN of type NUMBER. Although there is only one column in the result set, what is returned is a RECORD or a LINE. That's why you have to report your data cursor return type a document using the % ROWTYPE or % TYPE attributes or a record structure.

PLS-00201: identifier 'TABLETYPE_VARCHAR2' must be declared.
Hi all, when I copy a procedure from oracle, and then the paste into the TimesTen to re-create the procedure, I get the following exception:
PLS-00201: identifier 'TABLETYPE_VARCHAR2' must be declared.
If the 'TABLETYPE_VARCHAR2' type is available in oracle not in TimesTen.
Y at - it approach to solving this problem or links to the list of incompatibilities between oracle and TimesTen on PL/SQL?
Thank youGena, it seems that the package in timesten is a substitute for custom in oracle, right types?
TimesTen does not support object types, but we can use types in packages, it's sort of a "Workaround", I think.
Basically, the packets do not replace custom types (there are two different objects PLSQL with different purpose), but in this case we can do.Best regards
Gena
