  • How to remove a Mail plugin without having to open the mail

I use a particular mail plugin that has been very helpful so far upward. However this plugin has just been updated so that the Mail does not open and I get the error message refers to a problem with the HockeySDK I see that has just installed this plugin. I am waiting to hear the developer about it, but in the meantime I can't use the Mail on my Mac. Because I can not open the Mail I can't delete the whole plugin in the normal way. Is there another way I can remove this plugin in the meantime, until this problem is solved?

    Hello, RobbieSnr!

Thank you for using communities of support from Apple!  I see you are having some problems with third party plug-ins that you use with your Mail from Mac app.  I know how it is important to be able to use your communication by e-mail, I'd be happy to help you to get this working again!

Because I don't know anything about this point the plug-in you use, it is difficult for me to tell you how to uninstall.  I had an idea to get your e-mail application to open, however!  First of all, make sure that you have completely left the Mail (no point below on the platform) app.  Then, hold down the SHIFT key on your keyboard and then as you are now, click on the Mail app icon to open it.  Now keep Shift during the charge of the Mail application.  The app needs to stay open for you, then you can remove your plug-in in the usual way you mentioned.

You can find more information on this feature in the section called "when you open and exit an application" in this paper: automatically re - open windows, applications and documents on your Mac

  • Is it possible to have a common accessible file location for the main application in the sandbox and its extension app plugin

I'm trying to launch an app on the app store for mac. The bundle of the main application and everything inside it is on sandbox.

The main application Bundle identifier is com.xxx.core.app . The identifier for the internal Plugin Finder Extension application Bundle is com.xxx.core.app.extensions .

Now the problem is the extension inner finder is also available in sand and trying to read a file written by the main application.

The main application writes the file location depending on mac OS X, for example temp/var/folder/jv11743453495593/T/com.xxx.core.app

But the internal Plugins try to read/var/folder/jv11743453495593/T/com.xxx.core.app/extensions

Because of the different bundle identifiers, they have different containers.

Can someone let me know how to limit the same application and its plugins to the same folder location. Does perform a work around for this problem.

    Hello yuktikapahwa,

See the Sandbox Apple Guide under the ApplicationDirectory group container

You must create a group that your container can access. I'm not 100% certain that this will work with extensions of Finder, but it seems the most logical place to start.

Would it not possible to whitelist, this plugin for 64 - bit as has been done for silverlight?

Hi berwyn, mozilla won't because the plan published (as do other browser vendors as well) is completely remove support for the npapi and move the web content plugin. the win64 version already takes this kind of slate.

So far I have made the following Firefox, updated a couple of times, did a clean install, twice, hardware acceleration disabled in Firefox, true, unchecked in Flash player, Webgl.disabled changed to hardware acceleration checked my graphics driver is up to date. Firefox is version 42.0, Adobe Flash Player is version 20.0.0.235. I've included the error message I get under it leading to the Mozglue.dll as the culprit. I hope that this can be corrected. • Says check 19 Flash plugin is up to date

Tools, Addons, check if your plugins are up-to-date says that my flash is up to date, but I flash 19 and not 20. What is happening with this?

There is no API from the plugin vendors, this list is kept by hand and we do the best we can, but sometimes it takes a day or two to update. It is not intended to be a canonical list, but rather a resource for users.

  • No plugin unit after installation webplayer

    Hello

I use Firefox x 64 on Windows 10 x 64 platform. There is no plugin unit after you have installed the web player.

The activation of the preload plugins according to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/windows-media-or-other-plugins-stopped-working does not help

Win64 Firefox exit 42.0 only has the 64-bit Flash Player Plugin white listed. The next version of Firefox Win64 43.0 to 43.0 beta versions that you are testing, the Silverlight Plugin 64 bit is white listed now too.

If you want to use other Plugins in Firefox on Windows, you need the versions of Firefox 32 bit and 32-bit Plugins.

  • Shopsafe B said I need a plugin to use it - those who?

I use Shopsafe to get a substitute credit card no. on Bank of America. Works with i. E. With Firefox, I get this big black box that says that I need a plug-in for use with Mozilla. How can I find out what plug-ins and how to do it on my PC? I'm running on Windows 10, and the last level, so I was comfortable with is XP, please be explicit with your answer. Also, I am 81 years old and unfortunately the delay took in this wonderful world of technology. Ed

Hi Ed, I don't use A B, but I can tell you that the most commonly used plugin on the web is Adobe Flash plugin, and when I look at the details of 'Question' > 'More system details' next to your message, that one is not in your list.

To get the current Flash plugin, you can download a complete installer from the following page:

    https://www.Adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html

In the first table, locate the line "browser plugin", which works with Firefox. You can use either the EXE or MSI, either should work, you do not need both.

After downloading the installer and running, you can check that you have installed by visiting the Adobe Flash test page:

    https://www.Adobe.com/software/Flash/about/

A box should appear saying: you have the 19,0,0,245 version (I don't know why, that has commas...).

    Success?

Also, on the page Firefox Add-ons, Plugins section, it will appear as 'Shockwave Flash' instead of 'Adobe Flash '. Long story.
