  I use FF 32.0.3. My problem started when I selected a link to a Google music search file and my FF screen turned black for a few seconds and then came back, but a number of toolbar buttons are missing, i.e. the previous page past sub button the left arrow in a circle, a white circle. I ran malwarebytes and found 23 potentially unwanted programs. They have been properly removed. Now when I open Firefox, my home page is a new tab empty, even though I have a defined web page. When I click on the Home button, my web page opens. When I go to tools-> Addons, Addons never loads anything, Extensions and Plugins are completely empty. I read in support, that the removal of the contents of the file User.js, can solve the problem. The only entry in this file is:

  Remove, then by restarting FF, does not clear the problem. I'm ready to re - install FF, but I wanted to know if this type of problem has already been fixed. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  You are able to run in Mode safe? Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that disables certain parameters, disables most Add-ons (extensions and themes).

  If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

  • Click the menu button

    

    click Help

    

    then select restart with disabled modules.

  If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Mode safe mode as follows:

  • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.

  When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

  

  If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. Please follow the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause. If you are unable to delete your modules, then see below.

  To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

  Alternatively, you can try Firefox reset to restore it to its factory default condition. Information can be found in the article Firefox Refresh - reset the settings and Add-ons . The button "Reset Firefox" found in:

  • Click the menu button

    

    click Help

    

    and select troubleshooting information.

When I click on the drives, it completes. Everythings still on disks. I tried to reboot in safe mode. the computer turns on and off the fine. He can't get WiFi to install if no network. the computer was a prize won my daughter, no disc, but it's all legitimate. his recorded a son-in-law john r.  He has a floppy drive, a dvd burner and cd burner. It is in great shape before this happened. im hoping that this is a simple reboot or something im just missing.

  Looks like you have corrupted system files.  You must run the System File Checker.
  To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:
  Click Start and type cmd in the box start the search.
  Right click on cmd in the list programs, and then click Run as administrator.
  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue
  At the command prompt, type the following line and press ENTER:
  sfc/scannow
  When the analysis is complete, test to see if the problem you are experiencing is resolved.

  I have a solution, although this is not that useful, since I am in a rather unique situation.  I just migrated to a new machine and one was not having this problem.  I went back to this computer and copied the file: /Users/[username]/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Audition/5.0/AudioPluginManagerSettings.xml to the same location on my new machine.  Of course, the old machine and the new both had exactly the same set of plugins in the same relative location, so it worked for me.

  Otherwise, you may be able to understand the model in the xml file and change it manually?  I did not try it, but it seems that this could theoretically work.  Or cause all sorts of problems.

  I m in AA CS6. Can someone tell me how to clean the Plugin Manager?

  I ve tried a few plugins as a demo and then uninstalled but I can´t seem to get rid of them in the Plugin Manager. The Director said that they are still working.

  They are also still visible in Effects > VST-list in black (not grayed out), but when I click it nothing happens (of course).

  A new analysis of plug-ins in the Manager does nothing.

  Assuming you're on a Windows machine and confident dive a bit in the gubbins:

  Go to C:\Users\User_Name\Appdata\Roaming\Adobe\Audition\5.0\ and then delete the file called AudioPluginManagerSettings.xml.  Once you have done this, you can scan and get only the VSTs always there.

  FYI, to get this file, you must be working as an administrator and the option 'Show hidden files' is selected.

  (If you're on a Mac, there is a similar to do things way but I don't know the details, being a user of PC/Windows long term.)

  Is there a way to change what appears in a section of the Plugin Manager without leaving the Manager Plugin and going back in?

  For example, if I have a field that asks you the username and they enter and click on the button I can reflect this info to aline who say "user name: John Smith. But it seems that I have to close the Plugin Manager and go back before the data put up in the section. So my question is, is it possible to dynamically while the Plugin Manager is still open?
