Pointer to null on phone, works perfectly on Simulator

Hi all

As indicated in the title I have an app that works perfectly in the Simulator, but almost instantly gives a unit null pointer exception.

Does anyone know of some differences between the two that could cause this problem?

I looked at a bunch of possible causes involving HttpConnection and am fairly confident that the problem is not with it.

Thanks in advance,

Chris

You can connect to run the application on a real device.

Consider using the EventLogger class.

It allows runtime logging on real device.

To open the log on peripheral press real Alt key, hold it down and press LGLG on the keyboard of the device.

It will help you to identify code that causes the problem.

  • SIM-Free iPhone bought in Dubai, United Arab Emirates UNITED, to aid in the countries of the EU without iMessage and restriction of FaceTime. iMessage WORK PERFECTLY WELL, even on cell phones, but no FaceTime. Please tell me why?

    Hello to all on the Apple community!

    Recently, I bought the iPhone SIM-Free from the shop Duty Free in Dubai World.
    I used my iPhone in Dubai very shortly and I did not have iMessage and FaceTime option on my phone. I know that laws of United Arab Emirates telecommunication UNITED and I know why people out there have this apps.
    But when I arrived in my born country last week I put the new sim card without restriction for iMessage and FaceTime and when I open the Message in the settings, I saw "Power" toggle iMessage and I was surprised that it is possible that. When I pass switches on 'On' for iMessage, who runs BEGIN WORK PERFECTLY FINE WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM EVEN on LTE network.

    When I try to do the same thing with FaceTime, I saw that there is still no menu FaceTime in settings. I'm looking for in my iPhone and I find everywhere FaceTime app (Notification centar, use of boxes, installed Apps etc etc...), I want to say the FaceTime app is in my phone but is disabled and not showing somеhow.

    Please someone who knows this situation to respond to my question: can I activate FaceTime work as iMessage works now on my iPhone?
    Thank you!

    This is because one of the configuration files of the iPhone disables it for iPhones with AB, AE and AH maybe just before the / is their model numbers. If a Middle East SIM card in the iPhone, it can substitute for it, but no SIM card non - Middle Eastern won't. There is no other way to substitute it, or get FaceTime on your iPhone outside the Middle East.

  • GPS works on the Simulator, but not on phone

    Hello

    I created a simple application that gets the location of the device's GPS. The app works perfectly on the Simulator, but I have no GPS updates on the phone. I've been in options-> device-> Location.Settings on the phone and can see the GPS updates are coming through. But the app says there is no valid received GPS.

    I tried it on BlackBerry 9800... All I get on the phone is 'pending GPS update', that my app is displayed if no valid GPS don't trouble is received.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Satellite T130-screen black-HDMI works perfectly

    The problem started as an HDMI cable is plugged on my Satellite T130-17F operation and the display was closed. That point laptop screen no longer works. When starting windows logo start is enabled for a few seconds, just before the entrance to the office, the cursor is visible on the screen. But except for those brief moments there is no action on the screen of laptop computers. When I reinstalled the driver for the graphics card there was times short (less than 0.5 sec) when the screen was active.

    I can use the laptop without any problems via HDMI to my TV. And when I adjust the brightness of the screen (FN + F6/F7) the black can get more back-lit.

    When I disable the HDMI output or plugs out - nothing happens on the screen of laptop computers.

    Some of you can please help me out because I really need my phone to work normal again. If you can help me solve this problem, I'll be very grateful-

    Kind regards
    Jacob Lindberg

    Hello Jacob

    Start your laptop with an HDMI cable and wait until windows has finished loading. When you see the desktop on the TV use the FN + F5 key combination and tilt the back of the LCD screen.

    Can you do this?
    It work?

    The protected content message could be caused by a number of elements.  Your monitor must be connected with a DVI cable that is HDCP. Your video card must support HDCP, and finally the video card driver must support HDCP.  The PC may need to be required to manage the video stream protected content.

    I see that the motherboardof your PC has only VGA, so if that's how your monitor is connected, then this is probably the issue.  Install a discreet video with a DVI card and then use a DVI cable would probably solve the HDCP issue.

    Install a discrete video card could also mean that you need to supply. Unplug your computer and open it. Read the label on the power supply unit (PSU).  What is the total power and amperage on the bus + 12 volt?  The amount of amperage + 12 volts is important when choosing a video card.

  • Hi, I have the iphone 6 in warranty period... .working perfectly, but I want to exchange it with the iphone 6 s. Please suggest.

    Hello

    I have the iphone 6 in warranty period... .working perfectly, but I want to exchange it with the iphone 6 s. Please suggest.

    If your phone is in warranty period or not has nothing to do with trying to swap an iPhone for a s 6 6.

    Apple not no trade ins, so you have to sell your iPhone 6 to finance the purchase of a new s 6, or you can use the Apple recycling.

    The only other thing you can do, it's that if you bought your phone directly from a carrier rather than Apple, you can exchange your phone with a carrier in order to upgrade to a 6 s.

    That's all.  Other than that and if you bought at Apple, you must sell your iPhone 6 and use that money to buy a 6s instead.

  • Image recording is not real but device works perfectly on emulator

    Hi guys, I use the JDE 4.6.1. I would like to keep an image uploaded to the file system and retrieve it later. Something like a caching option. Everything works perfectly on the Simulator, but when I install it on the device, it does not work. Here's the code,

    private StringBuffer Imagedirectory = new StringBuffer(System.getProperty("fileconn.dir.photos"));

    FileConnection fc = (FileConnection)Connector.open(Imagedirectory.toString(),Connector.READ_WRITE);

                    if(!fc.exists()){
                        Util.getWebData(url, this);
                    }else{

                        byte[] data = getData(fc);

                        bitmap = EncodedImage.createEncodedImage(data, 0,
                                data.length);

                        if(this.width !=0 && this.height !=0){
                            bitmap = ScaleImageToSize(bitmap, this.width,this.height);
                        }
                        setImage(bitmap);
     }

    This is where I get the data of the file

    private byte[] getData(FileConnection file)
        {
            byte[] data = new byte[0];

    Help, please.

    Thanks much for the reply.

    I found the problem, the byte array which I was the analysis was not proper, so I created the image first and after that used the information bytes of that to save the image. Here is the solution.

     public void callback(final String data)
        {
            if (data.startsWith("Exception")) return;

            try
            {

                byte[] dataArray = data.getBytes();
                bitmap = EncodedImage.createEncodedImage(dataArray, 0,
                        dataArray.length);

                if(this.width !=0 && this.height !=0){
                    bitmap = ScaleImageToSize(bitmap, this.width,this.height);
                }
                setImage(bitmap);

                if(isWriteImage()){

                    System.out.println("Before writing the image");
                    writeFile(bitmap.getData(), Imagedirectory.toString());
                    System.out.println(Imagedirectory);
                    System.out.println("Image written - Operation Successful");
                }

            }
            catch (final Exception e){
                System.out.println("Image Creation Failed");
            }
        }

    The problem was because I was the array of bytes of the string of variable data analysis. No idea why this caused a problem?

    D3D is disabled on my system for 32-bit programs, but 64-bit, it works perfectly. I previously had this problem but may not know what I did to cause this.
    The only thing I found which seems to lack it is installing the dirext x Diag information are below.

    I reinstalled the drivers, put my graphics performance up and tried to reinstall direct x but it tells me its already there. Theres no option or a button to activate the d3d in dxdiag and I am full of ideas. I have a nice pile of games to work through, but none works. Any help is appreciated.

    Tom, tell him below.  It worked for me.

    Use the command REGEDIT and change the key "SoftwareOnly" to "1" to "0" in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Direct3D\Drivers

    and then restart the system and it should work.

  • YouTube works perfectly without Flash Player

    Recently, when I try to Watch youtube videos, video literally disappears, my cursor starts acting weird and whole page crashes. I can hardly even leaving the page and I sometimes get a message for an inactive script, but I just shut everything down. I uninstalled Flash Player and like magic the videos worked perfectly, I only got messages to install Adobe Flash player again. I installed again but the video worked for about 3 minutes, then Flash Player crashed and the video disappeared and everything happens again anywhere. Can someone tell me what is happening?

    HTML5 video is 'happening '.

    (A standard adopted late 2010) HTML5 using MP4, Ogg and WebM (Google format) to play the video. It requires no plug-ins. This change was made due to the fact that more people use smartphones now access to the Internet, those of the dektop computers or laptop. As phones and tablets can not use Flash, websites like YouTube, Yahoo, DailyMotion and others are ALL their video converting to HTML5, and YouTube is actually all finished with their conversion. That's why YouTube videos will play with no Flash Player.

    You use Internet Explorer?

  • File works perfectly in trials, swf will not work

    Greetings!

    Flash CS6 12.0.2.259, station work Dell, i3 3.4 Ghz, 6 GB RAM, 64-bit Windows 8 (also have CC on the Mac at home)

    File is a simple file, 10 images and made loop for change every five seconds, a picture (phone number) on the front layer of images...

    Could have a gif animated but client wanted each image to post a link to a different URL.

    Used ActionScript to post a link to each URL. The top layer shows different scripts to image editing in the timeline panel.

    Everything works fine if I hit Ctrl - Enter, all the images are superb, all links work and Tel number is clear.

    Export to swf and none of the links work; Send to society poster ad and not only the links do not work, but the phone number does not appear...

    See here; looking for a yellow background with pineapple, then other pot (155 square pixels) for Narcissus of Sharon plants:

    http://www.perishablenews.com/index.php?channel=6

    Has been initially formed on CS4, not very useful for over a year now using CS6 (best cinematography). I thought this would be the export process, but why the swf work here?

    Can provide a swf and fla file...

    Help, please. I tried the variations in export/publish settings but can not understand. Most web help is for the buttons...

    Thank you in advance!

    Edit: No error message.

    I can have solved part of it, if I don't understand the solution.

    I reasoned that maybe the script action should be just above the layers that it affected, so I moved the phone number in a single layer on the top and viola! the published swf file now works perfectly, here on my system. Why the mystery, but at least it works...

    However, when I sent the ad company, they say that they still do not see the layer of phone number... Now, she tells me that his graphic person seeks to kglad it..., I think you're on to something with the server and I really hate to say this, but it is out of my hands...

    Thanks for your help, if they solve their problem I'll be sure to post so that others know...

  • "Sl_slider" JavaScript works perfectly in Dreamweaver, but not when uploaded to file hosting

    I use JavaScript to create a nice slideshow for my site, but the script does not work properly. Here's the situation.

    I downloaded all my files to my ftp folder and checked that they are in the right place, but my JavaScript will not work when I go to my Web site. The script works perfectly when I test it in Dreamweaver, but not when it is transferred. I use GoDaddy hosting.

    No one knows what might happen? What I have to do something special with where I put the javascript files in the ftp folder?

    Here is my site: http://wollenziehn.com/Products.html

    Thanks for the research!

    Seems to be some problems of case with the file names of your image.

    for example, the code for images pointing to

    images/Image2.png"alt ="image of the tester"/ >

    but the picture is

    http://wollenziehn.com/images/Image2.PNG (with a lower-case i to image2.png)

    On a Linux server, where you are staying, Image2.png and image2.png are completely different files.

    Code should read

    images/image2.png"alt ="image of the tester"/ >

    The team has recently studied this crash on launch issue and found that this is a bug in Mac OS x 10.7 and later. The symptom of the problem described in this Apple support forum https://discussions.apple.com/message/19326072#19326072 . Requests for work installed (Lightroom and many others) would have suddenly stopped working. Re-installation of applications provides a temporary cure, to see that they would have stopped working after a while. Some process system corrupted symlinks in the installed application package. In the case of Lightroom (no matter what version), when some critical framework for symbolic links were corrupted, Lightroom could not locate the program files needed, resulting from an accident at launch.

    If your computer is running Mac OS x 10.7 or later and has a boot drive partition that is larger than 2 TB in size, it will greatly increase the chance to hit by this type of corruption. This message provides a good summary of the https://discussions.apple.com/message/21841090#21841090 question.

    The good news is that Apple has made a fix in the 10.8.5 and 10.9. So please check the fix as soon as updates are available and report back if you can. In the meantime, you can try to reinstall Lightroom to correct the corruption when it arrives or work around this problem, you could make a separate boot partition which is< 2tb="" and="" migrate="" your="" system="" data="" from="" the="" old="">

  • resolveNode works perfectly... or something else?

    Hi Volks,

    I have a pdf form with some fields of date (weekdays) and a button which is chek these datefields. Here is the code:

    If ((xfa.resolveNode("date_m[1]").rawValue == null) |) ((xfa.resolveNode("date_m[1]").rawValue == "")) {

    App.Alert ("check the fields date from Monday to Friday!");

    }

    else if ((xfa.resolveNode("date_m[2]").rawValue == null) |) ((xfa.resolveNode("date_m[2]").rawValue == "")) {

    App.Alert ("check the fields date from Monday to Friday!");

    }

    else if ((xfa.resolveNode("date_m[3]").rawValue == null) |) ((xfa.resolveNode("date_m[3]").rawValue == "")) {

    App.Alert ("check the fields date from Monday to Friday!");

    }

    else if ((xfa.resolveNode("date_m[4]").rawValue == null) |) ((xfa.resolveNode("date_m[4]").rawValue == "")) {

    App.Alert ("check the fields date from Monday to Friday!");

    }

    else if ((xfa.resolveNode("date_m[0]").rawValue == null) |) ((xfa.resolveNode("date_m[0]").rawValue == "")) {

    App.Alert ("check the fields date from Monday to Friday!");

    }

    else {}

    App.Alert ("Dates OK!");

    }

    The intresting thing is that the date_m [0] does not work (if it is empty or not), I get the same result: 'Dates Ok' and I don't know why...

    If I delete the last part ElseIf (with the date_m [0]) everithing works perfectly...

    What can be the problem?

    Thank you

    encleadus

    Are it's odd he should not do this. Try to use this script:

    if (hasEmpty(date_m))
     xfa.host.messageBox("Check the date fields from Monday to Friday!");
    else
     xfa.host.messageBox("Dates OK!");

    function hasEmpty(oField){
     for (var a=0;a

  • How to combine two conditions: there is and point not null?

    Hello!

    I have a flash chart area I would like to show only if two conditions are true.

    The first condition is the following:

    There are (at least a line returns the SQL query):
    select 1
    from    observatoire.fiche aa, observatoire.activite_faite bb
    where   aa.fiche_id = bb.fiche_id
    and     bb.fiche_id = aa.fiche_id
    AND     bb.activites_id = TO_NUMBER(:P23_ACTIVITES_ID)
    AND     TRUNC(aa.date_activite, 'YYYY') = TRUNC(TO_DATE(:P23_ANNEE, 'YYYY'), 'YYYY')
    And the second condition would be:

    Point not null:
    P23_ACTIVITES_ID
    How to combine these two conditions in one display condition?

    Thank you.

    Christian

    Hello

    The problem is that you do-

    TO_NUMBER(:P23_ACTIVITES_ID)

    When you leave the value of Null return like this, you will see "null %" generally used in session state (i.e., it is not actually null). Of course 'null %' cannot be converted to a number, from which the error you see.

    A simple solution would be to make your value null return value-1 or another value that is guaranteed not to be a piece of identification (and alternative is to convert the real null null % thanks to a process of App/Page etc (if you search this forum you will find a few examples on how to do this).) Another alternative is to use a DECODING to detect the '% null' etc.

    Hope this helps,

    John.
