  I have not personally, but there are a lot of messages in the ESX (VDI) forums on the use of adapters USB-over-IP for USB dongles license.  (ESX does support USB at all, hence the need for an adapter USB over IP.)  There was a post asking about the use of the adapter to a USB hard drive.  But since the passage of data of dongles is not a concern, there was a definitive answer as to how it would work for a hard drive.  But a scanner can be a feature of pretty low anyway.

  I was doing emergency surgery on my old HP and I remembered that I have a couple of old graphics cards lying around. And that made me think of my collection in constant expansion of hard drives and never less in less free time, backups, and Sandy Bridge platform limited channels PCI and their (real? theoretical?) effect on performance with cards cards additional specifically RAID.   Joel, the extra memory essentially has no effect on the scores of PPBM5 with the CS5 version.  We do not yet have any information on the CS5.5.  Look at the fourth note on PPBM5 it has been implemented with 14 GB on an X 58 Board.  Ultra complex timeline manipulation and encoding may be a little different.  I suspect this fall when the Sandy Bridge E CPU and motherboards are released that will start to see the memory strong 8 GB for these cards so that when this produces the current generation Sandy Bridge motherboards will be then be able to be upgraded to 32 GB as some motherboard manufacturers have promised.

  Open Photoshop and click on Photoshop (Mac) or help (Win) > Plug-ins > Camera Raw to see what version you use.

  Photoshop CS4 comes with Camera Raw 5.0.

  Try to update Camera Raw in Photoshop to 5.7 via help > updates.
